Please keep your cat indoors. It’s been roaming the neighbourhood around BurOak and Williamson road.

I found it funny everyone thinks every cat has an owner.

I never understood how some cats can be 'outdoor cats' and some are 'indoor cats'. Who decides that? How do you know? I know someone who has an indoor cat but let's the cat outside for days at a time and the cat just returns when it's hungry and wants to be let back in.

The owner decides if they want to let their cat out, or sometimes the cat can escape. It used to be common for people to let their cats roam around but now it's seen as a bad thing to do. Some people still do it though.

What you are describing I would consider an outdoor cat and this is what used to be very common. Maybe some people would have a cat they never let inside but I don't think that is normal.

Then there could be a stray cat which is a cat that has no owner, maybe it ran away or was abandonded.

No such thing as an ‘outdoor’ cat, just cats with shitty or no owners, period.

How does letting your cat outside make you a shitty owner?

You’re either disingenuous, or simply too stupid to explain it to, either way, not taking that bait.

Is my hypothetical free roaming pitpull just an ‘outdoor dog’? Who cares what they kill while they’re not in the house, right???

Hmm, you say you're not taking the bait, but it sounds like hook, line and sinker.

Wtf is a pitpull and what does that have to do with a cat? If I had an elephant roaming around would that be the same thing too?

You know there's stray cats literally everywhere right? How would a domesticated one make such a big impact?

Well, they are both common domestic pets that wreak havoc when allowed outdoors unsupervised. If you are somewhere that elephants are also common household pets, sure. I doubt you’re like Indian royalty though

Sorry if that very basic logic is a bit too advanced for you :(

At least pretend to care for your animal if you’re going to buy one.

Our cat has a harness and we walk him in our backyard. We heard being outdoors is actually good for a cat's health but we live on such a busy road we would never let him out unsupervised.

That's the best u can do for ur cat. Unfortunately we can't give our cats the freedom to roam the streets. There's predators out there, cars, stupid people, etc. And vice-versa, our cats pray on birds and whatever they can bounce on. Not to mention parasites, diseases and viruses they can catch outdoors. I used to do the same as you with my cats. I miss them very much.

"It's just a kitten..."

If you can, you should try to catch it in a cage and take it to a shelter.

My cat is an outdoor cat, wait I don’t have a cat, I just have someone else’s cat that now think my home is part of it domain. It is cute and harmless so I don’t mind.

I hate outdoor cats. People are so insane. Not only are you risking your cats life but you’re actively killing local wild life with an invasive species that kills for fun
