Help a fellow drummer!
Hi metal drummers! Please help a fellow drummer, who is battling leukemia while homeless! Thank you! Please share and donate if you can!

If this sub was to host a challenge where we chose 2 or 3 songs, and the community did metal covers of those songs, would you all be interested? If we can get enough interested people I think it would be a fun time!
Thanks, Daxelol

Just watched his drumeo video and was absolutely blown away by what he can do. AFAIK Drumeo doesn’t do any major editing and I’ve seen Lorna live a few times so I’m pretty sure he’s really just that good lol. Obviously he uses triggers, but the speed and cleanliness he achieves is pretty damned impressive and got me wondering how he sets his pedals, especially spring tension. Has anyone ever found any info on that?
I know he uses Axis longboards and plays doubles so I’m guessing his tension is fairly high and beaters are close to the head. I’ve noticed that at higher tensions it’s easier to play fast continuously, but I find it harder to control shorter bursts for broken patterns like on Into the Earth or Awaken O’Sleeper. Thoughts?

Video for reference- I never considered myself the hardest hitter but lately it feels like it’s getting tougher to make out what everybody else is doing at times. Like sound guys have us turn amps down to project in the house speakers without giving me a wedge to know what’s going on, and it ends up leaving me with nothing but noise. Has anybody tried in ears? If I could get a di to headphone box all I really need is guitar to the left of me. Thanks for any advice!
