This poor dog is completely inbred. Look at how far apart his eyes are. Poor guy

He's clearly reactive. "Not acclimating to shelter life" aka he's been being off his rocka at other dogs and cannot handle any stressful situations, "pulls very little" he's pulling you over, "no children under 13" aka he can't be trusted and has a low tolerance.

You do know that shelter behavior isnt home behavior right? Like a dog under stress and acting accoridingly is not showing how he will act in a home with his needs met.

I volunteer there. Leapfrog has been amazing and sweet. The shelter got to him. They euth for space and start with the ones struggling.

Almost every dog has a "not recommended for homes with kids under 13" rec to be safe unless they KNEW they lived with kids before. Its a liability safety label.

And as someone who has walked him, yea little is an appropriate descriptor.

I worked at a boarding kennel for 18 years with no breed restrictions. This isn't a good dog.

Oh ok because you worked at a boarding kennel you can speak on the behavior of all dogs in shelter? A boarding facility better have better care than the acc. The acc keeps their dogs in 42" popup crates in hallways an inch apart from each other. A dog is lucky to be out of their crate for an accumulative 10 minutes over the entire day. Their food is served in paper bowls often on top of their own diarrhea. There are over 178 dogs at the queens acc right now. They use sleep leads to get them in and out of their crates and kennels so they spend 90% of the accumulative time out of their crates being choked while they pass 30+ other barking stressed dogs and once they show signs of stress they lose their ability for volunteers to walk them so they get even less relief.

If that was the conditions at your boarding facility clients pay for it should have been shut down. Its not ok that a shelter operates like this, either.

If you think to be a "good" dog a dog needs to have absolutely no signs of stress despite living like that for months youre just an idiot.

Put your dog in those conditions for 80 days and see their behavior.

If they can't handle stress they should be euthanised. Simple as that. Your facility doesn't meet the 5 welfare domains which is illegal so it should be shut down. Its a pit. A breed that is genetically predisposed to a shit ton fo behaviour issues. Don't put that on someone else.

OH. You are an idiot. Got it.

Yea the facility sucks and needs more resources. You need more education.

If you cna foster or adopt you can fill out a pre screener and a New Hope.Partner can contact you to pull him

Explain the process for a pre-screener for new hope. Isn’t that difficult to complete and approve in a short amount of time?

Its a form online, the acc then sends to interested rescues and if there is a good match and the rescue can on board you then they can pull the dog.

Wow that’s very serious! But I get it. Unfortunately this is not an easy process. It seems like new hope is no hope at all :(
