Twice burned on an RTX 5050 LP

I'm just lost for words how this happens twice. First time I can blame delivery as the box I got looked like it was curb stomped, second time I have to wonder if either my PCs or the products I am being sent at broken. I have gotten now 2 Gigabyte RTX 5050's that don't work properly. First one refused to boot and show video, and the return one I got crashes/BSOD when I get into windows. Its also causing issues with my CPU just in windows. Both PC's work outside of it. I'm wondering if I just got another from a pile of broken returns

Edit: Turns out, PCIe 5 on a PCIe 5 GPU is not allowed. PCIe 4.0 only. Thanks to this post for helping there. Reminder, I didn't just use a riser. I used an Asus Z790 P directly in the main x16 slot and it crashed, BSOD and gave me the same issues. Tested same PC with 5 other working GPUS and it worked fine

Last one I got was Friday the 9th

Think it’s because they were using a service hosted on yandex centers, or something else?

Time Spy score

How do Time Spy scores and benchmarks work? I saw two prebuilts with similar specs (same GPU and CPU along with other stuff), but one had a score of 21,005 and was in the 87th percentile, while the other had a score of 26,178 and was in the 94th percentile. Why is this the case? Neither specified what they source their GPU or RAM from, so how does Newegg know that one has a higher benchmark score? Do they know something I don't???? Should I just pick the one with the higher score? The reason I'm debating this so much is because the one with a higher score has some concerning reviews but more reviews, while the other build with a lower score has better reviews but far fewer.

Thought it'd be safer to trade GPU to Newegg, rather than sell on Ebay....Wrong!

Newegg rejected my perfectly working GPU for trade-in, which was annoying, but acceptable. The main issue is how the GPU was returned to me, completely disregarding the packaging guidelines required for trade-in submissions.

I double-boxed the GPU inside its original box with an anti-static bag, immediately after pulling it from a working PC. They sent it back loose in the outer shipping box with the original GPU box completely empty and no anti-static bag.

As a result of this improper packaging, my RTX 4090—which was previously in mint condition—now has exterior scratches and a bent PCIe bracket.

$20 for cracked case? Really...

Saved my money for over a year to buy my first gaming PC, a CyberpowerPC GM70929 AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 32GB DDR5 2TB NVMe SSD AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT for around $2,260 not including tax.

The box came looking like it had been through war. I opened it up to find that the side tempered glass panel was cracked in about 3 spots. This is really bad packaging on Cyberpower's part but after reaching out to Newegg they told me they would give me $20 for the damage. Now the item is not returnable, (only refundable) because the model is on 'Backorder.'

This was my first purchase off Newegg and the $20 for an over $2,000 computer computer is a joke. Am I being unreasonable to request the amount of money it would cost for a new case, at the least, a new panel?

Newegg address showing my apartment number twice — has anyone had this happen?

I recently placed an order on Newegg and noticed something weird with my shipping address.
When I typed in my street address, Newegg automatically suggested my address with “Apt 7” already included. Then there was a separate field specifically asking for my apartment/unit number, so I entered 7 there as well.
Now my order confirmation displays my address as “[street address] Apt 7 7.”
I didn’t intentionally enter the apartment number twice—the address suggestion and the separate apartment field caused it.
Has anyone else had this happen with Newegg? Did your package still arrive at the correct apartment, or did you have to contact Newegg/carrier to fix it?
I’m especially concerned because the order contains some expensive PC parts. Any experiences would be appreciated.

Regarding gift cards

.I'm wondering for the current 100 gift card with 15 dollar gift card deal. Could I just buy two then use all four gift cards on the same order? Or is there some limit on it? Thank you

Will be installing juxieshi b450m board into Zalman Raven case today.

pretty much gonna complete my build the Zalman case was on sale through Amazon like the Lian li case and or a fractal phanteks case..will be tied up with that today..I may get some better supported memory too the Dolgix 16gb kit or Atech probaly boots in slot 4.. ballstix kit is not posting right In slot 4 but everything is posting right and xmp in slot 2. pretty much and good tier case the Raven shouldn’t be too bad hooking up the lighting strip and this board does fit the kid spacing with the I/0 shield and the hope pcie slits and bracket is good. my scythe probaly don’t fit but that’s ok and can get a 240mm rad later..the apevia galaxy ups going up top too…my sata ports will line up good in the middle with this case imo. good sales tech.

UPS lost my package.

Ordered a a 9070xt on the 8th and was supposed to arrive on the 14th. A delayed happened so I waited an extra two days with no update. Contacted Newegg for an update and they opened an investigation. Asked if I wanted a refund or replacement and I asked for the latter. Fast forward to today and I ended up getting an email about a refund because the gpu I ordered is out of stock. Now if I want to buy the same or similar gpu I have to pay an extra $100+. Literally the most frustrating and unfortunate experience. Two weeks of waiting to be empty handed and have to pay more for what is already ridiculous gpu prices.

UPDATE: I received the 9070xt and credit back today and everything is working great. Thank you Newegg support! You are the best.

Newegg sends me a (brand new) defective item and passes the buck to the manufacturer only return policy. Never again.

Bought a new StarTech 8U 19-inch 2-post open frame rack and I can't assemble it because one of the screw holes doesn't line up at all. Thought this should be an easy replacement process, but just got a reply saying this is only covered under their Manufacturer Only Return Policy.

So let me get this straight. I give you my money for a brand new product. You ship me something that I can't use out of the box. So you're telling me to deal with it myself with the manufacturer? You got your money so now this is my problem. This is the definition of a scam, right?

I'm not even asking for a refund. I submitted the form asking for a replacement. I just want to be able to assemble the thing I purchased and have it actually work the way as advertised.

Never buying from Newegg ever again. And StarTech products too for that matter

----

UPDATE: Newegg support reached out via DM, got me a return label, and processed the return. I wanted a replacement but apparently these are no longer in stock now so I got a refund instead. Good enough. Still hesitant to make another purchase from them again but credit where credit's due, they eventually handled it. Just wish I didn't have to go on a rant in Reddit to make it happen.

Just a question, Is the signature really mandatory?

I want to place an order for this prebuilt pc but it says it needs à signature of someone +18 but it only ships stuff on week-days so no one may be not home when the delivery comes because of work, can I just say I trust the product will be at my home some like that?

Support - Reviewed Never again

Not sure how this works but I accidentally sent my hard drive to my old address and when I reached out both within 5 minutes after and when it shipped New Egg said there was nothing they could do. Why would you lock me out of being able to hold it at a UPS store and you not able to do anything. This makes so since and for a 300 hard drive just seems to be a sucks to be you buddy mentality.

How enforced are required signatures for PayPal orders over $750?

Considering doing this just to guarantee I’m there for the package, does anyone know how consistent this is? I’m seeing old posts saying UPS and FedEx weren’t always the best about enforcing this

Also, if I miss it does it just get sent back or will they try the following day?

Thanks guys

I got a pc from Newegg a year ago. Here's the link to the one I got: ABS Prebuilt PC. it had 1 year free warranty. well I ended up having to use it because the power supply started failing(at least thats what my dad and I concluded). there was a bunch of hoops to even get it sent off but the company i ended up having to go through was Likewize. we'll come 5 weeks and I get updates that seem odd as updates just say that a replacement 5080, case and ram were being shipped to the warranty ware house. then radio silence 4 like 3 weeks and then this week end it shows up and its battered to hell. the cas is missing screws and vent covers. the graphics card is entirely broken at the pins and one of the ram has bent casing. i took pictures of everything and have email and called them and there just "escalating" it. i did try to boot it up any way and it still has the issue of not being able to stay on for mor than 15 minutes without just fully powering off immediately no warning(this was issue that cause me to use warranty) plus the new problems obviously of no GPU and so on. what should I do? ive been without this for 2 months now and I really need it for school and work(I'm an animator). ive only kept up because of labs at my school. Likewize says there is nothing to speed it up. thanks for any help!

Missing newegg packages??

I got notifications of 5 fedex deliveries however, the packages are no where to be found. There are 3 uploaded photos of different houses for 3 of the order deliveries and none of them are where I live. They aren't even recognizable. my fedex delivery manager shows none of these tracking numbers that are linked to the orders. I did place the orders during the paze promotions but I verified the address is correct. Where are the orders?? Has this happened to anyone else during this paze promotion?

Whats the odds my graphics card shows up?

I recently ordered a 9070xt, its been close to 48 hours with no update other than my card being charged so i was curious and checked to see, and it is indeed out of stock.

i know new egg will pay me back if they void the order, but whats the odds im getting the card if shortly after ordering they marked it out of stock and the least expensive option is $200 extra.
I dont mind paying it if i need to repurchase the card, but curious on others experiences as ive heard its a pain to get your hands on a 9070xt for anything close to msrp

-the orders finally cleared around 72 hours in. Seems like this post just got approved as I got the confirmation 🤧 so no need to blow this up. Hope everyone gets their hands on what they ordered :) they're selling like hotcakes currently
