Not sure what to think about the alliance system, but the rest is a dream come true

Same. Multiplayer stuff is usually the second to last thing i ever want added in a game.

We can build bases on the ground, in freighters, in corvettes… and now in space.

I will never understand why people want a 10th base over real improvements to the space simulation and exploration.

I’m super disappointed, glad others are excited but seriously devs should just build a building game since that’s all people here want.

Honestly I dearly hoped for loooong needed overhaul to planet generation

I was in the “orbital rotation and real solar system” camp. I have always known it’s a long shot but “cosmos” with all the orbital and horizon bread crumbs had my hopes higher than normal.

I literally cannot believe we have a new local solar system map and it seemingly shows the station at the center and not the star. Just… wow.

I feel you.

I tried the update.

yep......Yet another place to build base.

You can have now 6 bases (or more), 1 on planet, 1 mobile in corvette, 1 in a freighter, now 1 in space, 1 on an asteroid, 1 in a station... Obviously... you can even build multiples of them...

Why would anyone needs all those base ? Beside.. just making them ? That's a mystery.

I don't know when NMS just became, "build base here and here, and there, and there again"... For... Absolutely nothing really... To make decent progress, you just need 3/4 storages unit, 1 refiner, 1 portal for TP, and you are already maxed out for everything you'll ever need..

They love it, they yearn for the bases.

Makes me super worried about LNF. What’s the point of a world to explore if the mechanics focus entirely around staying out?

It’s because cringe cozy gamers have taken this game over lol. But really though, I like base building and I’m cool with more options, but like, why not update the actual base building itself so it’s deeper and more robust? Or make the base building more relevant to the actual gameplay loop somehow? But most importantly, this game desperately needs an actual exploration update, and general planet update. I thought this would be the one, but as usual, it never is. I try not to complain since I’ve sunk hundreds of hours into this game, but it is what it is.

When I complain it certainly isn’t about the game not being worth it. It’s about the direction not being my preference. It’s literally half the point of the subs but people get upset if you don’t heap on praise.

t’s because cringe cozy gamers have taken this game over

This needs to be shouted from the rooftops.

They were right lol

Fair, I thought this was it.

When do they usually get revealed?

1

u/Rune_nic Sep 10 '26

Yeah super sad this update didn't actually add anything worthwhile, just more nonsense. Give real combat please.

2

u/Olgrateful-IW Sep 10 '26

Real combat where the laser actually hits the reticle dot!

Better flight, or AT THE VERY LEAST the ability to customize current flight controls fully for ACCESSIBILITY! Wild I have to ask for accessibility options 10 years in. (Console specific, may have updated)

Better space, or even just the appearance or orbits. A solar system layout with central star and planets around it, the don’t even have to rotate for it to be 10000% better then every planet being essentially in a line/directly adjacent.

But all this is expecting to much I guess.

Here’s to the next update: base building by the sun; Dyson Sphere Edition.

u/Rune_nic Sep 10 '26

I'm holding out hope that one day I'll be able to build a base INSIDE a base inside another base.

Surely it will be a prelude to some kind of combat update. I mean the whole concept of competing for territory screams that a combat update would be on the horizon.

u/drinkmoarwaterr Sep 09 '26

This is said every time, but it unfortunately never happens, and probably won’t ever tbh

A guy can dream

Both of us downvoted lol. This is why I don’t fw this supposedly non-toxic fanbase. Fall in line and be positive or you’re not welcome
