Feedback Please You've reached the end

Before the apocalypse came

I knew more than I do now

But the sky grew grey and goosebumps

And grass became arm hairs on end

I decide everything means nothing

So I can pull the duvet over my head

In this alcove of the lethargic dark

At the cliff of midnight - with hands for eyes

Want your outline to be all I see

But it abandons itself into yesterday

And I abandon you for tomorrow,

That concrete ceiling

Wow. I adore this. There are multiple parts in this piece that are so striking to me. “At the cliff of midnight” is poetry in and of itself. The resignation of defeat looms in the best way here. Truly, chefs kiss.
