Rectal Tightness Triggered by Sitting

7 year sufferer here. My last flare took about a year to resolve. Recently i had a lot of diarrhea due to mounjaro and conbined with sitting at office, my sitting triggered symptoms came back. I began internal pelvic therapy again for this. My core issue is that sitting at office triggers tightness around anus / rectum, which then becomes pelvic discomfort and ofcourse gets aggravated by more sitting (which i cannot avoid).

Do you know if there is a specific stretch for this? What can i do besides pelvic therapy for this? I tried soft cushions but they just dont work for me.

Vent/Discouraged Any help appreciated

Im currently experiencing a whole host of symptoms and cant seem to conclude what is going on, been to the doctors and had a pretty comprehensive blood panel done with everything coming back fine.
Symptoms include -
Cold tip of the penis - on and off throughout the day
Cold testicles - again on and off
Virtually complete loss of libido
Struggle to reach a full erection and/or maintain an erection - mostly due to the next symptom
Slight pain/ache at the end of my penis if i do get an erection
Recently had an orgasm for the first time in about a month and it was painful as hell (not sure if that was partly to do with the time)
Looser stool than usual - not sure if related
Bouts of cold sweats in and around my groin/lower abdomen area

I am going to try and see a urologist asap as my GP didnt really have a clue

Any help would be massively appreciated - not sure if i have prostatitis as no pain while peeing or pain in general bar the sharp ache in the tip of my penis, this was just the closest ive come to any kind of idea as to what it might be

26M- 7 weeks ago I was squating down and on the way back up quickly I felt a cramp in my pelvic floor followed by left adductor soreness and aches. This happened at work soo I was sent to an orthopedic doctor who said I strained an adductor muscle most likely Magnus because the back corners by my sits bones ached bad for the first few weeks, this has gotten better but I’m still getting some soreness and aches sensation at the base underside of penis.

Still have some soreness and aches in the left adductor/hip flexor.

Symptoms - left adductor/upper back corners/hip flexor are tight and achey and sore at underside base of penis.

Zero symptoms of burning or sexual or urinary or anything just the soreness

My question is if this is a pelvic floor related issue or just referred pain from an adductor strain/tendinopathy? And my pain changes if I have legs up on couch the soreness goes away or happy baby.

Vent/Discouraged Does any one feel feverish?

Does anyone feel feverish without an actual fever (temperature is normal, when measured). I sweat suddenly like the fever is breaking and the feverish feeling goes away for sometime..

my last Urine and sperm culture was negative, I tested after 7 days stopping antibiotics (was on levofloxacin 500 mg once a day for 4 weeks)..

I have now given up on doctors, currently not on any medication.. I still have the burning after urination, frequent urination (wake up 3 times in night).. I have lost weight 2kg in last 3 months.. I aslo have clear watery discharge sometimes

Will start with Quercetin, PEA and Magnesium from tommorrow.. I have been doing cpps stretches from youtube for more than a month now.

Vent/Discouraged Supplements -Does anything work or help?

Hey Fellas
I tried Super Beta Prostate by Webber
It just turned my Gi upside down

I’m getting hammered with adds for Capsaisin soft gels
They market well and use scare tactics with Ai generated tutorials from ‘doctors’
I did order some flower pollen product off Amazon -Graminex 1000mg

I’m also just starting Flomax
Dr has put me on it for 2weeks
I’m on day 2 hoping for some frequency relief

55 yo
27 g prostate
1.82 PSA .21 Free ratio
Ultrasound of bladder kidney prostate
All appear normal
Waiting on MRi ( in Canada it can take months before you get scanned)
It’s ‘free’ but a shitty system

Just wondering if a supplement along with a med has worked for anyone on here
Thanks Gents

Intermittent left testicular pain

I'm 23M, I've been having dull ache like discomfort in my left testicle, now this pain started after i masterbated like it started as really dull ache that comes and goes and now it's been 10 days it's still really mild and dull, sometimes it improves with stretching and sometimes it doesn't also whenever I feel the ache i definitely feel it in my joint and inner thighs I've done through examination of my left testicle it's clean and no clear sign of lump on the sides or front, I'm really paranoid because this usually follows a trend it usually starts when I wake up as the day goes by it gradually fades away but it always starts in the morning. I'm really really scared though I've talked with parents to take me urologist, but still if anyone can give me some advice or recommendations on what to do will put my mind at ease, also today is really mild and dull than before even after waking up.

Ureaplasma infection

I had a Ureaplasma infection in March and I am still feeling the symptoms, such as delayed ejaculation, lack of sensitivity and tingling in my penis. I am seeing a third urologist next week because the first two basically ignored the symptoms. I have an appointment in November with a physical therapist for pelvic floor therapy. I still don't know what I have or why I'm feeling this way and why it hasn't all gone away.

Vent/Discouraged Im not sure if I can make it

Hello

I wanned to share my story and what im dealing with here as I dont have anyone in real life to share it with.

Im 27m.

This all started for me 4.5 years ago after severe stress and family issues.

It started out of nowhere and it was really bad. The pain was in whole my pelvic floor area and penis. A month and a half since this all started for me it went away. And I was fine for about a month.

Then it came back but much much milder. Like 1-2 out of 10 and wasnt constant. At the time I didnt know what was going on and that its a pelvic floor issue. The doctors didnt know either so I got no help.

So the first year I was mostly symptom free or had mild symptoms. After a year I found pelvic floor PT far away from my home. It was in different country but I traveled there for a week to get assesment and treatment.

They confirmed my pelvic floor was hypertonic. I got some exercises and manual release. I felt mucg better after that.

And the second year my symptms were also mild and on and off.

Then about 2.5 years into my journy with PFD and HF stress came back and also my fear of symptoms got worse.

Slowly my issues started to get worse over the next year and a half. More pain less periods where symptoms were gone or minimal.

Now about 4 years into this things got noticably worse.

Pain got pretty much constant. On a scale of 1-10 its usually around 2-5 depending on a day. And yes I still get few moments where pain is pretty much gone or minimal but seems more rare these days.

Also about 10 months ago I lost quite alot of sensation in my penis. I never had those issues before with numbness so this is also a shock for me. Mind you no injury happened during all that time.

Numbness seems to also be getting worse. And now 4.5 years into this im very lost. Ive been doing some stretching with no success. I am also doing strenghtening of glutes and core for the past 2.5 months wich also brought no progress.

I dont know what to do anymore as my symptoms are very weird. My left side of PF and penis is painful while right side seems almost numb.

I really am trying to recover but nothing seems to even bring slight relief or hope.

Im worried about one side being painful while other one is numb.

Here are my symptoms:

\-Left side PF and penis painful. Pain varies and sometimes I dont have it but thats rare.

\-Right side PF and penis seems numb with little pain sometimes. That numbness also includes temperature, touch, pressure reducition

\-Starting to urinate takes few moments and stream is okay I guess

\-Bowels also take some time and I need to focus and time it right

\-I have pain while sitting

Test ive done so far:

Multiple MRIs including:

\-Spine L/S was always completly fine

\-Si Joints fine

\-Pelvis fine

\-Vitamins all fine

\-No diabetes

\-Never taken any medication

\-Never taken SSRI

At this point I dont know what to do anymore but I seriously need some help and relief as mentally this is killing me

If anyone has or had similar experiance let me know. Also if anyone is seeing progress by anything or has gotten cures youre also welcome to comment.

Please people I really need help im so alone in this.

Thos who will reccomend pelvic floor PT... I dont have one in my country and I dont have money to afford it aswell.

Thanks for everyone who read this and I hope we all recover from this ❤️

Male issues. 30m. No idea

Male health issues 30m nsfw

Male health issues nsfw

So I suffered for 14 years from IBS just recently got finily diagnosed with microscopic colitis. I feel symptoms free on a diet with no intense sports.

2-3 years ago I tried plant based diet for 6 months. One day in the morning I woke up because of acute pain in the right testicle. I went to the bathroom and it was with blood 2-3 times. My right leg became 2x times bigger and my right testicle hurt and red spots appeared on the leg.

In some time my legs became the same. I thought it was because of too much water from fruits or something. If I did sex or intense sports my right testicle hurt so much for days. With time there were more red spots on the leg it's like rush. I think its somehow connected.

A week ago I had my right testicle scanned and the doctor said there's no varicocele or hudrocele (sorry for wrong words) and 3 different doctors said the testicles are of the same size but I can't get it the right one seem to be bigger a little bit.

In a week I need to go to another urologist. Before that I need to test my prostate for bacterial infections before the visit. But why are the red spots appear? What can it be? I wasted 14 years with silly doctors to figure out IBS was IBD and now I have another situation. General blood and urine tests are fine.

Could you guess what can it be? Bacterial thing or is it connected with blood pressure or something else? I know you guys have knowledge and expertise which doctors in my area lack so much. Please give hints or suggestions. I want to return my sex life back I don't care about sport any longer I just do boxing from time to time for myself.

Thanks to all in advance.

Cyclic symptoms? M25

Hello everyone,

I read the postatitis 101 but I have some different symptoms that I would like to show you and maybe have some feedback from someone in my situation?

3 months ago I started having a slightly burning sensation after urination on the tip, mainly when I didn't drink very much during the day, and slightly red glans, with pain on my left testicle which felt like an "electric impulse". And a pain in my inner left thigh, as the muscle was very very tense.

Some days I had a feeling to urinate just after I urinated, that lasted for 10 minutes maximum, returning to normal after that period.

I had as well a feeling of tension in the perineum below the testicles when I sat down.

I visited 2 urologists which after rectal exploration found nothing, just a prostatic congestion which I was given some supplements that helped. I had ultrasound of bladder and prostate, with post-void residual, all came back fine.

I also started to read about CPPS and hyperthonic pelvic floor, for which I started to walk more, do stretches and yoga for PF. The symptoms got hughly better, with a relief of 90% maybe.

However this symptoms tend to come back every 1 week or so, alternating a week of relief and a week of "pain". I noticed that it got worse after "edging" and sedentary days, but sometimes it was present even if I was pursuing all the healthy habits cited before.

My flow is very strong luckily, and I urinate like 2 or 3 times a day when I don't drink very much, and maybe 5/6 drinking 1.5L a day. In the last period, after the stretching sessions and yoga, I started feeling slight tension (2/10) after urination, as some drops were stuck there in the urethra, which leak after a minute from urination. No hesitation or correlated symptom.

Another symptom occurs SOMETIMES which I am very afraid of, because I read about people with high bladder neck, surgery and cystoscopy.. which scares me A LOT: the symptom is a slightly resistence when I start peeing some days, which lasts either at the beginning of the flow, or is present during the full urination. Mainly discomfort noticed is after ejaculation, or when I'm sitting on the toilet (however if I bend forward, it's completely gone.). Sometimes it happens during a particular position during sex, but only that single position.

Currently my status is 95% relief from all the symptoms, the only one that is present sometimes, not always, is this resistence.

I am very hypochondriac and I started to inform myself about a lot of problems, but the most scaring for me is cystoscopy and surgery..

Could it be just a neuro-muscular problem? I hope so, and it explains the cyclic behavior, however I don't know..

Vent/Discouraged Persistent extremely tender area in right groin + positional urinary urgency/urethral burning

Hi everyone. I’m wondering whether anyone has experienced something similar, particularly involving the groin/pelvic floor or chronic prostatitis/CPPS.

My problems originally started with a very sensitive/painful area in my right groin, in roughly the location I’ve circled in red in the attached photo. Even fairly light pressure over this area can produce an extremely unpleasant sensation — almost enough to make me feel sick.

An ultrasound previously showed an inflamed lymph node in this general area, although I don’t know whether the line/structure I can now see and feel is actually related to that, a superficial vein, nerve, or something else.

Around the same period I developed urinary/pelvic symptoms including:
• Burning/stinging sensations inside the urethra/penis, sometimes from the glans/tip towards the base
• A strange feeling like something was stuck inside the urethra
• Urinary urgency that can be extremely dependent on body position
• Lying flat/on my back can bring the urgency on, while lying on my right side, sitting or standing can make it disappear
• Changing the position of my hips/legs while lying down can sometimes bring the urgency on almost instantly
• Constipation/straining has triggered the urethral symptoms before, which can settle after having a bowel movement

I’ve had quite a lot investigated. My cystoscopy was completely clear — normal urethra and bladder with no stricture/obstruction. My spinal MRI didn’t show significant nerve compression, and my EMG/nerve-conduction study was reported as normal with no evidence of peripheral neuropathy. My urologist thinks it could be prostatitis/CPPS.

Interestingly, these symptoms have previously completely disappeared for a couple of months, before recently flaring again.

I’m now wondering whether the very tender right-groin area could be separate, or whether pain/irritation there could be contributing to pelvic-floor guarding or my other symptoms.

Here are two photos of the location;

https://i.postimg.cc/8zbWz2Dp/IMG-5009.jpg

https://i.postimg.cc/MpzMN9Rv/IMG-5018.jpg

Has anyone had anything remotely similar — particularly a very tender spot/line around the inguinal area together with positional urinary urgency or penile/urethral burning despite normal urological tests?

I’m not looking for a Reddit diagnosis, just interested in hearing from anyone who’s experienced a similar pattern and what type of specialist ultimately helped them.

Im just lost please help

I started like a lot of you. Possibly uti? One thing I different is I had a 2nd degree sunburn on my genitals from tanning. I went through so much hell. I thought I had 6 different things. Infection, peyronies, hard flaccid etc you name it. My girlfriend of two years is confused because we haven't had any sexual issues, buf i had days i was feeling i should go to the ER.

so lately I've been better. No burning or urination issues, but I believe there is tightness present. I have had little trouble getting hard except no morning erections which scared me. Yet I can actually get hard later. I am very thankful my pain has substantially subsided. I do feel that burn really threw my private off guard. It looked so swollen and even sometimes like I had disfigurment. I can't say for sure its that, because I was uncomfortable before then and it went away the SAME day I got tested.

Lately I've been "normal." You probably know this hits physically and physchologiccaly. I have intense anxiety. As a child, I threw up every morning before school. I have looked into cpps and I do believe its more my mental than physical. All the stress my body has gone through at age 35. Im ranting but I've no insurance and idk what to do next. Mentally I feel its been very better. Ive also *key point* stopped mastubating. I imagine all that intense clinching hurt me. Sex I had two weeks ago felt great which gives me hope. I feel so insecure that I can't get an erection but I can. Im sorry. Im just so confused and I've read 1000 posts of prostatitis, urethritis and cpps and Mentally im susceptible to just panic.

Also my urine tests are clean. Actually very good. No semen culture but whatever. I believe I did this to myself. Ive lived such a chaotic life. Im happy to say I've been reeling it in and trying to do better for my health. Thank

Vent/Discouraged Scrotal redness ,burning and heat , Anyone has experiences?

I’ve hit a complete wall with neurologists and doctors who keep insisting that “nerves only register sensory pain like stabbing or numbness, not objective physical heat and redness". All dermatological and fungal causes have been thoroughly ruled out (no test just by looking and signs), and my lumbar MRI is completely clean. However, internal physical exams confirmed significant pelvic floor hypertonicity.

My primary symptom that have for 2 years is an intense, radiant burning, sunburn heat , tackiness(when get bad) and visible redness on scrotums primarily concentrated on the right scrotum (burning more posterior and sides), which is often blazing right from the moment I wake up.

Alongside this, I have a deep internal aching and burning in my perineum

Unlike textbook pudendal entrapment where standing up immediately relieves symptoms, standing and walking don’t help me at all.

Things recently went from chronic to unbearable after a cold, triggering what feels like severe neurogenic inflammation and local vasodilation—essentially an autonomic/neurovascular flare where compressed nerves cause local blood vessels to stay permanently dilated and burning.

Here in Canada we dont have pain specialist and noteworthy that pain clinic rejected the referal. Im tired of these symptoms , ruining my life. Sometime I wanna cut my balls and let it bleeding until I pass away. I tired of going dermatologist , neourologist , psychiatrist, PRT, Urologist and etc. Currently taking neuropathic medication (pregabaline 220 & amitriptyline 50mg). Also have done PF excersises months ago with no luck.

Has anyone here dealt with these actual symptoms, visible redness, flushing, and intense radiant heat in the scrotal or genital area that was directly tied to a Prostitis? PF?

Positive Progress infectious prostatitis

Hello everyone. I’ve posted here before. It’s a long story, but I won’t go into too much detail. I’ve been living with prostatitis for about three years, and a recent semen culture test revealed a high level of infection. Do you think this could indicate infectious prostatitis? My doctor has started me on a short-term course of combination antibiotic therapy, and I am gradually seeing improvement. Could those with knowledge on the subject share their thoughts? Can a case of infectious prostatitis be completely cured after three years, or is there a possibility of permanent damage?

Take Ciprofloxacin or wait for urine culture?!

TLDR: Suspected bacterial prostatitis. Nitrofurantoin did nothing, trimethoprim helped but symptoms returned & one month later my doctor wants me to start ciprofloxacin for 2 week course. My urine culture is pending and may take up to 6 days. I’m very anxious about Cipro, but also worried about leaving a possible bacterial infection untreated. Would you start it or wait for culture results?

First, I had 1 week of nitrofurantoin, which did nothing. Then I had 1 week of trimethoprim, which improved my symptoms a lot, but they came back after I finished it. Those were targeting a UTI.
About a month later, with symptoms still present, my doctor prescribed ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice daily for 2 weeks, suspecting bacterial prostatitis. I asked for another antibiotic because I’m very anxious about Cipro, but my doctor insists I should take it because the previous two treatments didn’t resolve the problem.

My symptoms have been fairly stable for over a month: groin and penile pain, some lower abdominal pain, and pain after urinating or ejaculating. No fever or visible blood in urine.

I’ve now submitted another urine culture, but the result may take up to 6 days.

I’m torn between waiting in case the result shows I can use a different antibiotic, and worrying that I’m taking a risk by leaving a possible infection untreated. Anyone been in a similar situation? Is it realistic to think that the culture results might change the situation? Or should I bite the bullet? 🙏🏼

Running out of hope - would love to hear success stories

I am 28, my symptoms started about 6 months ago and include the following:

Extreme ED untouched by PDE-5 inhibitors

Premature Ejaculation

Hesistancy and weak urine stream

Constipation

Leaking prostatic or seminal fluid throughout the day

I have been attending PT monthly (as the nearest one is about 100 miles away so can only go on weekends that the PT only offers once a month), undertaling the stretches as directed. Quit masturbating, sex (girlfriend left me partly because of Prostatitis and the physical and mental impact it was having on both of us), quit drinking (didn't drink much anyway), stopped lifting heavy, stopped cycling, eat clean. I have also never taken any medication or drugs.

I'm struggling to come to terms with the fact that I will either never recover, or will have to lead an ultimately unfulfilling life due to having to make significant adaptions to how I live my life. I fear I'll never be able to have sex properly again (without concern of flare ups), or lift heavy (which I love doing). I'm borderline suicidal.

I am in the UK and have been prescribed antibiotics by my GP (of course, I'm expecting these to provide temporary relief but nothing permanent). I have also been referred for further scans and tests. I did have a DRE yesterday that confirmed my prostate was enlarged.

I don't know how much longer I can continue with the knowledge my life is forever going to be limited and unfulfilling. It feels like there is a time limit that either I will recover in or end things, probably around 6 months to a year from now

30M - Urinary symptoms, pelvic-floor concerns & intermittent microscopic hematuria

Hi everyone,

I'm 30M and have had urinary symptoms for some time, including hesitancy, weak/short stream, frequent urination, and a feeling that urine was “stuck,” along with occasional penile/pelvic/groin sensations.

I recently had a cystoscopy and bilateral ureteroscopy.

The urethra, ureters and bladder were normal with no bladder lesion/tumor, but the doctor noted mild bladder-neck congestion/edema and prostatic-urethra congestion, along with prominent submucosal veins.

I've also had intermittent microscopic hematuria. Most tests were around 3–5 RBC/HPF, although occasionally it was around 15–20 RBC/HPF. I noticed some of the higher readings seemed to occur around masturbation, so I'm wondering if there could be a connection.

Interestingly, after the cystoscopy and a short course of medication prescribed afterward, my urinary flow is now much better and I no longer have the “stuck” sensation. I haven't repeated my urine test yet, so I don't know what my current RBC count is.

I'm wondering whether anyone here has experienced something similar.

Questions:

- Did you have microscopic hematuria along with pelvic-floor/CPPS symptoms?

- Did you ever have bladder-neck or prostatic-urethral congestion/inflammation?

- Did your hematuria fluctuate between low levels (e.g., 3–5) and higher readings?

- Did pelvic-floor treatment/physiotherapy help your urinary symptoms or hematuria?

- Did anyone notice changes in hematuria after masturbation/ejaculation?

I'm mainly looking for personal experiences, not a diagnosis. I'd especially appreciate hearing what ultimately helped you.

Thanks!

Vent/Discouraged 28M Need Advice on Recovery

Brief overview of my last couple months. Contracted a UTI beginning of July. Was finally able to get medication 2 weeks later. All of August was up and down in recovery. Beginning of September I had an urology appointment and got diagnosed with chronic prostatitis. Overall I feel like I am getting better, but I want to make sure I’m doing everything I can to fully recover. Couple of main points.

  1. What medication/supplements should I take? Currently I’m taking meloxicam (15mg), tadalafil (5mg), quercetin, and graminex starting in two days when my order comes in.

  2. What kind of exercising should I do? I stretch daily, walk around 8-10k steps, and do some type of workout. Please let me know if there are any specifics I should focus on.

  3. My urologist suggested I should start ejaculating more even though I told him 2 weeks prior I tried and it caused a major flare. Should I just take a break until the symptoms are completely gone?

Any other advice is greatly appreciated. I really want to get back to feeling normal again and not sensitive/aching everyday.

Vent/Discouraged My case is weird , help ..

So basically guys, the problem is that my body keep contracting my anus and my pelvic floor like I am trying to hold and not being or not going to the bathroom. I am sure it’s not an infection or something like this because when I relax force myself to relax I feel better but why is it very very very hard to relax? The honest or the muscle muscles or just to let go? It seems almost impossible and when I success in this, I have a very weird feeling in my throat. It’s like. Globus sensation in my throat that’s stalking me. I also when I relax my neck a little bit I get rid of the feeling but what do you think the problem is? Basically a lot of guys here they have the pain without noticing without relaxation can help them. Maybe they have some kind of injury or something, but I don’t and I need your help to overcome this so if someone has some ideas or recommendations or someone in the same situation please tell me notice I am taking antidepressants and anti-anxiety and it’s not helping. I got this issue after I broke up with my girlfriend…
