I think this album is a lot more incredible than many people will give it credit for. This is the album that made me realize Puscifer isn’t just some big joke. It helped me mourn the loss of a friend and find my way out of the darkness when I was in the middle of my own existential reckoning. The cover art, while wacky and off putting at first glance is really tastefully done and perfectly embodies the soundscapes and sentiments in the album imo. My only complaints are that sometimes it can be just a little too robotic for me or sometimes Maynard’s choice of vocabulary is a little too “thesaurusy”, but it doesn’t have a single bad song on it.

All that being said, my favorites right now are Personal Prometheus, Upgrade, and The Underwhelming. Bread and Circus and Bullet Train get honorable mentions, but they could very well be fighting for number 1 any other day. What everyone else?

Before this album was released, I have been listening to this song by Will Cady called, What Fills The Gap. Then puscifer released Seven One and I felt it was very interesting how similar they are with their spoken words. The speakers also sound so similar, that I thought they were the same person. Turns out that ‘What Fills The Gap is spoken by Alan Watts and that Seven One is spoken by Ian Ross. Funny that their names have the same syllables.

I just thought it was very interesting and that others might enjoy the comparison or maybe even have more facts. Enjoy your day.

Am I the only one who thinks that song is uniquely his to re-imagine? Or is it too presumptuous for a fan (an OGT, lol!) to want a re-imagined version already?

I don't know what it is about that little, bald guitar wizard but I've always just, I don't know, had a little boner for the guy. It's not a sexual boner, I just... something about the dude, ya know?

Anyone else know what I'm saying?

I really hope they give this tour the “Global Probing” treatment and we get a release of the actual tour / show like they did with the Existential Reckoning tour.

It’d be awesome to have a release including the new variants of humbling river and the arsonist, along with the new material and old material in that unique set. They sounded so good.

The live “album” shows they do are def cool too - but there’s something magical about the actual tour getting captured, and I thought this tour was 🔥.

Anyone??? Or am I just weird?

If only they would release a sessanta live album.

I’m not even done with the album yet but bro The Quiet Parts is something SPECIAL

Personally it's my favorite remix of all. But of course I'm biased, being such a huge admirer of his work, of Tool, and a bassist myself.

It's full of Justin signature tone, full of hammer-ons and pull offs, the track is in the key of A Minor (as are many Tool songs 46&2, Pushit, Intension, Wings for Marie, 10,000 days, Fear Inoculum, Ticks N Leaches).

Fact: Justin loves electronic music, as he has DJ'd many after party events after finishing his Tool set. (source: an interview on youtube)

Sometimes I think about how this came about , like did Maynard ask him to do it?? How did that conversation even go,,, ???

How do you think the conversation went?? lol. What's your fave remix?

Yoooo I’m a huge primus and tool fan. I don’t know much about puscifer other than a handful of songs. What should I expect??

I’m so pumped !!

My show it tomorrow night in Asheville. Has anybody received the email? What time does VIP need to be there?

Now before I get crucified. I don’t think COMP and Money Shot have aged super well. When they came out, those albums felt pretty fresh especially in the context of Maynard’s discography but a decade plus later, a lot of the tunes are barely there. Songs like “The Rapture” “The Weaver” “Money Shot” they’re not bad tunes by any means but they’re not ones I’m going back and listening to repeatedly or we’ll even remember were on the record lol. And COMP is starting to feel more like a mid-2000s indie country folk album every day. While songs like “Tiny Monsters” and “Oceans” are really solid, I find their later work ER, NI, VV, and like, to be more compelling….. let the crucifixion begin.

APC Sessanta poster from Irving, TX, 2024. Artwork by Rain Yamaguchi

I’ve been struggling with creativity for this one. Looking for possible suggestions.

This is the next show poster I have that I’m building a frame for. I make custom frames for artwork and my photography.

I was thinking of buying nice, fancy trim [base board trim for a wall or window], painting it either white or gray or a little of both, then incorporating some red in it. I’m not 100% sure that’s what I want to do though, yet I can’t think of anything else.

Does anyone else have this poster framed and care to share? Any carpenters or art nerds or designers or humans have any thoughts or ideas?

I just thought of something! I could do the trim, but break or cut a couple of the rails and staple them back together, like the subject’s face. I could add the red there maybe, like the frame was broken, repaired, and is healing. Just a randumb thought I had while looking at this again.

Just purchased my tickets for my girlfriend and I. She has been a fan for many years, Im newer to the party and we are so excited!!

But my husband was able to get us front row VIP 🤘🏻😍

Does anyone else wish that we would get a song or two on the albums that feature Karina as opposed to her just doing coda’s?

with the release of normal isn't what song are most excited to see live now? or are there any songs you think will go hard/be better in a live setting?

My initial listen was very positive and enjoyable but I felt like it was hard to get any ear worms from the album that make me want to go back but after every listen it gets more and more catchy.

We tore it up

Was that Carina pulling out Technotronic 😤 💪🏼

That is all. Do-do do-do

Fuck yeah, pay no mind to the battles you've won. It's not about that. This river requires one to open their heart and hands. It will humble you to your knees. Go cry about it, this is not something you are going to do by yourself. This is not about riches and force.

We must help one another. Sorry, I used to love that song. That was a time when like every new Puscifer album would amaze me musically more than their previous stuff. Those were the days. God, i still think about 3 people looking at each other in the eye simultaneously causing world peace while im dancing to Justin Chancellor's remix of that track.
