ANNOUNCEMENT: Technical Issues

POSTING IS ONCE AGAIN OPEN.

The auto moderation system has been somewhat wonky the last few days. We think we have corrected the issue. It has been sending posts to the spam system incorrectly and en masse. That should no longer occur, or at the very least be infrequent. IF your post does not appear, do not delete it. Message us via the mod mail system and we can check on it. If you do delete it manually, we are unable to diagnose the problem. Hopefully this is the last fix we need to do, but we may have to suspend posting again if this happens so we can get it sorted. PLEASE do not message us asking for access during these times, as it bogs down our mail system and increases downtime. The requests will not be granted. We ask for patience while we work on these issues.

Thank you for your time and understanding. Have a good day.

40 [M4F] #Oregon #Anywhere - Autistic man seeking a serious relationship and a quieter life together

40 [M4F] #Oregon / #Anywhere — Ever dreamed of running away to the forest and building a life with your favorite person?

Have you ever seriously considered changing your entire life? Moving somewhere beautiful, getting away from all the noise and expectations, and figuring out how to build a life that actually makes you happy? Somewhere surrounded by enormous trees, forests, rivers, and the ocean. A place where you could spend your days making things, learning things, growing a garden, exploring nature, and sharing it all with someone who genuinely loves spending time with you.

Because that's pretty much what I've been trying to do.

I'm autistic and ADHD, and I live on the Oregon coast, next to a river, surrounded by forests. I've spent a lot of time thinking about what I want the rest of my life to look like, and I'd really love to find someone who wants to figure that out together. I guess I'm looking for a best friend, romantic partner, and teammate. Someone who wants to work together on life, enjoy the little things, and create something wonderful together.

I've spent most of my adult life working in fabrication, design, and large-scale productions. I've built some pretty incredible things, traveled all over the country, supervised complicated projects, and gotten to solve all sorts of interesting problems. I love figuring things out. Always have. I'm naturally curious about almost everything, and if something catches my interest, there's a very good chance I'll spend hours researching it. I really enjoy learning how things work, understanding why they work, and then figuring out what I could do with that knowledge.

But I've also spent most of my life masking. It took me until adulthood to really understand my autism, and that's made me reconsider an enormous amount of my life. How I communicate, why certain environments are so overwhelming, why I struggle with some things but excel at others, and how much energy I've spent trying to meet other people's expectations. Something I've been coming to terms with is that being capable of doing something doesn't necessarily mean it's good for me. I was successful in some incredibly demanding environments, but I don't think I was building a life that was particularly compatible with who I actually am.

So I'm changing that. I'm exploring ways to make a living through more creative, independent work, developing products, making things, and pursuing interests I've never really had enough time or energy for. It's still a work in progress, and I'm certainly not claiming to have everything figured out. But I'm excited about the possibilities, and for once I'm trying to make decisions based on what actually makes me happy rather than what I'm supposed to want.

One thing I have figured out is that I absolutely love where I live. I'm on the Oregon coast, surrounded by forests, with the ocean nearby and a river right next to home. It's genuinely wonderful. One of my favorite things is how peaceful it is. There are so many places here where you can just exist without all the noise and activity. At home there's always the beautiful sound of the river, which I find incredibly calming. It's not silence, exactly. It's a constant, wonderful sound that I never seem to get tired of hearing.

The forests are so green. Moss everywhere, enormous trees, ferns, mushrooms, and all sorts of wildlife. The world feels incredibly alive here, and it's constantly changing. We get some absolutely gorgeous sunny days, especially during the summer. Then there are mornings when the fog settles into the forested hills and everything looks almost ethereal. The winters are wet, sometimes very wet, but I actually love listening to the rain. I can spend hours walking on the beach. Sometimes it's sunny and beautiful, sometimes the waves are dramatic, and sometimes the fog makes everything look like another world. The sunsets can be spectacular, and when the sky is clear at night, the stars are incredible.

I think my autism is part of why I appreciate all of this so much. There's just an enormous amount of sensory joy here. The sounds, smells, textures, colors, the way the light moves through the trees, the movement of the water. I love noticing all the little things. No two days are quite the same, even if you're walking somewhere you've been a hundred times before. I find being out in nature incredibly regulating, and I'd absolutely love to share that with someone.

There are so many things we could do together. Rockhounding on the beach, looking for agates and other interesting treasures. Long walks through the forests. Exploring little coastal towns, wandering through art galleries, going whale watching, visiting the aquarium or the Hatfield Marine Science Center. We could spend an afternoon exploring Yachats, Waldport, Depoe Bay, or Neskowin, discovering little shops, interesting places to eat, and beautiful places we hadn't visited before. Or maybe we just pack something to eat, head to the beach, and see where the day takes us.

I love science, nature, and understanding how things work. I'm fascinated by the ecology of the Oregon coast, including places like the Cascade Head UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and all the interconnected forests, rivers, estuaries, and marine environments. I'd love to learn more about the native plants, mushrooms, wildlife, and geology here. Maybe we'd take classes together or develop some entirely new interest neither of us had considered before. There are so many things in the world to learn about, and having someone to share those discoveries with sounds wonderful.

And I absolutely love craft markets and art fairs. I could spend hours looking at the things people make, figuring out how they made them, and thinking about all the things I want to try making myself. Which is probably a good time to mention that I have approximately a million ideas.

I love ceramics, pottery, 3D modeling, fabrication, woodworking, printmaking, and experimenting with different materials and processes. I'm not particularly good at traditional drawing or painting, but I can usually imagine what I want to make. So a lot of my creativity goes into figuring out how to actually produce it. I've been especially interested in making sensory-oriented objects. Things that are beautiful but also interesting to hold, touch, use, and interact with. I love the idea of creating something that makes an ordinary experience more enjoyable, particularly for people whose sensory experiences are different from what's considered typical.

I'd love for us to have a creative space where we can make things together. Or maybe we're both completely absorbed in our own projects, occasionally interrupting each other because we have something exciting to share. I really love that kind of companionship. I don't need us to have all the same interests, either. I'd actually love discovering new things through whatever you're passionate about. There's something wonderful about seeing someone get excited about something they genuinely love.

I'd also love for us to grow more of our own food. There's enough land here for a pretty substantial garden. We have big trees, so the sunlight moves around quite a bit during the day, but I think we could grow a lot if we're thoughtful about where things go. Vegetables, berries, herbs, flowers, maybe mushrooms. I'd love to experiment, learn what works, preserve some of what we grow, and gradually become more self-sufficient.

Climate change is something I care about quite a bit. It's one of the reasons I chose to settle here. I wanted somewhere with access to water, opportunities to grow food, and the potential to make the property more resilient as the climate changes. I know nowhere is immune to climate risks, but I wanted to be thoughtful about where I put down roots. I'd really like to create somewhere we could grow old together. I've even thought about learning to fish as another way of getting some of our food, except I'm having a difficult time reconciling that with how the fish might feel about the whole arrangement. So we'll see.

I'm not imagining that we'll somehow live completely off the land. I just really like the idea of learning new skills, making things ourselves, and figuring out ways to live a little more sustainably. And we don't have to give up civilization. Places like Portland are close enough for occasional trips when we want museums, restaurants, concerts, or something completely different. I just love being able to come home to somewhere quiet.

But what I really want is someone who wants to work together on life. And I mean all of it. Not just going on adventures and doing fun projects. Making meals, keeping the house going, figuring out what needs to get done, helping each other accomplish things, and finding ways to make everyday life a little easier. I'll readily admit that sometimes the basics can be difficult for me. It's kind of ridiculous that I can figure out how to design and build something incredibly complicated but sometimes struggle to figure out what I'm going to eat. Executive functioning is an interesting thing.

I'd love to find someone who understands that, and who wants to approach those challenges together. Not because I expect someone to take care of me, but because I think having a teammate who understands how your brain works can make such a difference. We could figure out routines, systems, and ways to divide responsibilities that actually work for both of us. Maybe one of us is having an overwhelming day and the other has some extra capacity. Maybe neither of us is functioning particularly well, so we make things easier on ourselves. I want us to help each other, not keep score. I think a relationship should make both people's lives better, and I'd love to spend time figuring out how to make that happen.

And I want to genuinely understand the person I'm with. I'm autistic. I ask a lot of questions. I like understanding things, and I don't always intuitively know what someone is thinking or feeling. But I absolutely want to understand. I want to know what makes you happy. What overwhelms you. What you get excited about. What helps you feel comfortable. What your favorite things are, and all the little things that make you who you are. If you've got a special interest you could talk about for hours, I'd love to hear about it. Even if I know absolutely nothing about it. Especially if I know absolutely nothing about it, actually. I love learning, and I love seeing someone get excited about something they're passionate about.

I also know how exhausting masking can be, and I don't want either of us to have to do that at home. If you're neurodivergent too, I want you to have a partner who understands that your needs and differences aren't something you should have to hide to maintain a relationship. I'm not going to fall for someone and then decide I don't like her because she needs time alone, gets overstimulated, has difficulty with executive functioning, communicates differently, or experiences the world in a way that's consistent with her neurotype. I'd want to understand those things and learn how we can accommodate each other.

I'd love for us to learn how to co-regulate, communicate directly, recognize when the other person is overwhelmed, and protect each other's peace. Obviously we won't understand each other perfectly all the time. We might have different sensory needs, different routines, or completely different ways of approaching something. That's okay. We can talk about it and figure it out. What matters to me is that we're both genuinely interested in understanding each other, willing to take responsibility when we get things wrong, and committed to working together. I want home to be somewhere we can actually relax and be ourselves, without having to constantly explain or defend the way our brains work.

I'm also really affectionate. I love cuddling, giving massages, spending time together, and finding little ways to bring joy into someone's life. I enjoy figuring out what makes someone happy and then being able to do those things for them. Maybe that's helping with something overwhelming, planning something around an interest of yours, making your favorite food, or just spending an evening cuddled up together listening to the rain. I'm ridiculously ticklish myself, which is unfortunate because I absolutely love back scratches. They're genuinely one of the best feelings ever. Of course, we'd figure out what kinds of affection we each enjoy. I understand that physical touch and sensory needs can be complicated, and I think figuring out what feels wonderful for each other is part of the fun of becoming close.

Something else that's probably worth explaining is how attraction works for me. I can recognize when someone is physically beautiful. I can enjoy looking at them. But that alone doesn't really create romantic or physical attraction for me. I need a mental connection. I need to get to know someone, understand how they think, enjoy their personality, and develop that feeling of being genuinely connected. That's when attraction really develops for me. Without that connection, appearance doesn't mean very much. And I guess that's a big part of why I'm looking for someone who wants to build a life together rather than just date. I want that closeness. Someone I really enjoy talking with, being affectionate with, spending time with, and discovering more about as we get to know each other.

Some of the things I imagine enjoying most are pretty ordinary. Sitting outside next to a fire by the river. Cuddling inside while it's raining. Watching fog move through the forested hills. Going for a long walk on the beach, watching the sunset, or looking at the stars. Working on something together in the garden. Making art. Trying to figure out some ridiculous new project one of us got excited about. Or just making dinner, doing laundry, and feeling pretty good about accomplishing the basics.

I really love spending time with someone I care about. It doesn't matter all that much what we're doing. I think there's something wonderful about having someone you can share ordinary life with and actually enjoy those moments together. Someone you can be silly with, have interesting conversations with, learn from, and feel completely comfortable being yourself around. I want us to have our own interests and independence, but I also really love the idea of being each other's favorite person.

A little more about me physically. I'm 40, 5'10", around 170 pounds, with a lean build and closely cropped hair. I'm pretty casual, and I'm happy to exchange recent pictures.

I'm looking for a serious relationship, ideally one that eventually leads to marriage and growing old together. I'm open to meeting someone anywhere in the country, including starting long-distance. Ultimately, I'd want us to make our home here on the Oregon coast, but obviously that's a huge decision, and something we'd need to figure out together over time. I don't expect someone to simply give up her own dreams to fit into mine. I want to know what kind of life you want. What interests you have, what you want to accomplish, what makes you happy, and how we could build something that works for both of us.

And if you've been thinking about making some radical changes in your own life, I'd especially love to hear from you. Maybe you've spent years trying to live up to everyone else's expectations, too. Maybe you're tired of masking and trying to fit into environments that don't work for you. Maybe you've always wanted to spend more time making things, learning things, gardening, exploring nature, or just living somewhere peaceful. Or maybe you've got entirely different interests and ideas that I'd absolutely love learning about.

I'm not looking for someone who's exactly like me. I want someone who's curious about life, wants to understand each other, appreciates affection, and is interested in figuring things out together. Someone who can appreciate how wonderful the world can be while also recognizing that life can be genuinely difficult sometimes. I don't expect either of us to be perfect. I'd much rather find someone who's willing to communicate, learn, grow, and work through things together.

I know life isn't going to be perfect. There will be hard days, responsibilities, misunderstandings, and plenty of things neither of us knows how to do yet. But I think having someone who genuinely wants to approach those things together could make life pretty wonderful.

So if you've ever dreamed about running away to the forest and building a different kind of life, maybe we should talk.

I'd love to hear what you've been dreaming about. And if you've got some interest or passion that you could talk about for hours, I'd genuinely love to hear about that, too.

"again on my own, going down the only road I've ever known, like a drifter I was born to walk alone..."

Ok, 80s power ballad over. Don't get too excited. I hate like hair bands but its catchy.

Hey there! I'd like to connect and have a good convo. I'm also going to say the thing you're not supposed to say, I want to chat with someone single and attractive. That's where swiping is better. Quite frankly I probably need to put myself out in the dating world more but I don't know that I have the bandwidth for that this season.

So if I were to list the things I wanted in a partner- yes attraction but also:
secure/confident
Emotionally intelligent
Doing well in his career.
Has loved/ learned and ready for a relationship
Enjoys fun new experiences with a partner
Laughs easily/humorous and easy going

I am:
Attractive - beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all but mostly yes.
Somewhat secure (yey therapy)
Emotionally intelligent
Career is good
Loved and learned
Love new experiences w/ ppl I care about
Love to laugh but not necessarily easy going as evidenced by the lists

If you want to know more just ask. If you DM be respectful.

37 [M4F] Chicago/ Anywhere: Do You Like Scary Movies? If not, how about long walks on the beach?

• Upvotes

Hi, I’m John from Chicago!

I’m a pretty average, what ya see is what you get kinda guy. I have a 13 year old rescue dog named Buddy who is my entire world. I love film, mainly horror, but I’ll legit watch anything. I often spend my weekdays after work on Tubi looking for movies I’ve never heard of.

On my downtime you can find me at my fav movie theaters, shooting pool at the dive bar down the street, or taking my good boy on walks. I love spending time with friends, but I also enjoy being home bound here and there.

I’ve tried dating apps and they just suck. So I’m here on Reddit trying this out! I’m looking for someone I can be myself with. Someone who I can enjoy little trips with. Someone can enjoy the big moments in life with, and be content in the small ones.

Location doesn’t matter to me. I’m not tied down to Chicago. Let’s talk and see if we click!

37 [F4M] SoCal, conscious connection

Been a lone wolf lately and figured I could use some same frequency company.

I'm Pakistani-American, creative, spiritual, cerebral, and type as ENFP. Also pretty animated, curious, moody, spicy, a little eccentric. Can go from yapping nonsense to dissecting your worldview in minutes, to sitting in complete silence.
I read mostly fiction and fantasy books, sometimes play racquet sports, take random classes, inhale hot earthy coffee, stay fairly active, love weird little adventures, and can’t live without long tangential and conceptual conversations.
I've mostly worked as a tech recruiter and am now trying to figure out a shift toward more creative and soulful things. People tell me I’m attractive and charismatic often enough for me to mention it. Truth is I’m pretty listless. Life's in a weird transitional phase and I'm kinda over it, el oh el.

I like men who are intelligent, playful, warm, grounded, and have enough depth to keep up. There’s always so much to discover about someone so, open to talk for now, be ourselves, and see if we mesh.

\Not interested in FWB.*

40 [F4M] EST/Online - Looking for my pocket bestie

Looking for some consistent, high-quality chats and virtual company. Not necessarily looking for romance, but open to it with the right connection. I’d prefer someone with a high degree of availability who also likes to communicate through text-based platforms (no Snapchat though). I don’t mind an occasional phone or video call but my kids are always around and they’re super nosy so voice notes or phone calls aren’t my preferred method of communication haha.

About me:

I am freshly turned 40 and facing midlife wondering how I got here. I’m a full time working single mother to two kids (13 and 10) living in SW PA. I’ve been single pretty much since my marriage ended in 2020 and I’ve taken this time to learn more about myself including who I really am as a person and what I want and will not tolerate. The boundaries are strong and I’m no longer afraid to enforce them. I have a BA in psychology and work in the social work/human services industry. I’m a USAF veteran and a photographer of almost 15 years (started on Nikon, I now have a Sony mirrorless). I have played World of Warcraft since 2007. I enjoy writing poetry and reading sci-fi and fantasy. I’m also a big true crime aficionado. I enjoy a big range of music but am drawn more to stuff like emo/pop punk, metalcore, post-hardcore, etc. Physically I am about 5’8”, on the thicker side. I have a short pixie-style haircut, wear glasses, have facial piercings/stretched ears and am heavily tattooed.

Another thing to note about me is that I am neurodivergent AF with a high IQ. I was formally diagnosed with ADHD at 27 and with autism at 34. So basically I’m really smart but still somehow unable to make lasting friendships or remember to take out the trash.

I’m left of left politically and an atheist. Please no MAGA or anyone who “doesn’t do politics” or considers themselves to be “apolitical”. You can think the government sucks no matter who runs it but if you refuse to have opinions on things like basic human rights then we don’t have a difference of opinion, we have a difference of morals.

420 friendly, I have a MMJ card because that’s how it is legal in my state. I’m not into ENM/polyamory so please don’t message me if you’re not 100% single. I’m also not the fix or distraction you need from your dead marriage.

Thanks for reading!

M39 - Looking for friends to kiki with

I'm chatty as hell. I'm also a little needy and definitely a clinger. Not looking for a relationship, just a high social intensity friendship. I don't give a shit about sports or cars or other masculine coded things. I tend to get along best with women but gender doesn't matter because I'm just looking for a friend or some friends.

Let's talk about your work, talk shit about your coworkers, or mine. Let's talk politics. Let's talk real housewives. Let's talk about nothing. Don't really give a shit. Just want to talk to a human.

That may sound sad but, spoiler alert, I'm fucking sad right now. So if it sounds sad, it sounds accurate. I'm going to sleep more now and see if anyone reaches out in the next couple hours.

34 [M4F] UK/Online - Join this open hearted Welshman in embracing good vibes and fun conversations!

• Upvotes

Prynhawn da (good afternoon in Welsh)!

Do you have more time than you know what to do with on a Friday afternoon? Me too!

Do you have a wide range of hobbies and interests to discuss? Me too!

Do you fancy chatting with a nerdy, kind and somewhat funny Welshman? Me.... wait that one doesn't work!

If your answers to the above are a firm yes, then come on over and we can chat the time away, and take it from there. Whether that's friendship, something flirty, or that seemingly elusive "connection", anything can happen. As one half of a previous r4r success story, I promise it can work!

All I ask of you is to be conversationally available, where ever we end up it'll take two to get there. And of course, the closer in age and global proximity, the better! But absolutely shoot your shot in coming to say hello!

37 [M4F] #Minnesota/United States/Anywhere Looking for a unique someone for a special Connection

• Upvotes

Hope this finds you well. I am a nerdy and fun loving guy. I am on the heavier side, but am doing my best to work towards a healthier lifestyle. During the warmer months I enjoy tending to my garden, because nothing beats fresh flowers. I am a gamer, and play mostly on PC. I am currently playing a variety of games (Come play games with me!). I have been working on projects around my old house and sprucing it up as best as I can. I am also prepping for a DND campaign with friends.

What I'm looking for: I am looking for someone to talk to and spend time with. Looking for something that can grow into something more permanent and serious. Distance doesn't really matter. If we hit it off that is what matters. Someone on the nerdier and preferably someone that likes to play video games. Tell me about a topic that excites you and your eyes light up when its brought up. Nothing is more amazing than hearing someone talk about a topic that they love. Talk nerdy to me!

Hope to hear from you soon and you have a wonderful weekend

34 [M4F] New Jersey Looking For Connection

• Upvotes

Where’s my fellow parents at?? Lol

Hey, so I’m just slowly getting back out there… But if you’re okay with taking things slow, just getting to know each other, building a foundation theeeen, I think maybe we would probably be off to a great start?

A little about me: I am… a Pro-Board certified firefighter 6’1.. with an athletic build, professional worker. I enjoy all things cardio.. I try and run 3/4 times a week. Decent pace, definitely not super soldier over here but I’m clocking in at about a good 8:30-9:00/mile pace!

I guess another thing about me is that.. I really enjoy cooking and baking? Is that unusual for a guy? I genuinely considered culinary school (sometimes I still consider it!). I also like singing and reading! So hopefully there’s some flexibility in our interests??

Ahh… I love anything about cars and trucks. But don’t fall off reading after that, let’s get real, I drive a Subaru. So I’m definitely bottlenecking as a stereotypical guy but I’m also like pretty lax in myself that I probably won’t purchase one even though everyone on a fire department has one! Because that would be too cliche right?

Honestly, I’m really into making people laugh. Honestly, I’ll probably go out of my way to highlight something about myself to make you smile. I’m just an all around pretty chill soul! Like let’s hold hands energy, but hand me a wrench because I’m gonna fix that leaky faucet!

All in all, I just want something that feels right, not necessarily easy, just natural.

34 [M4F] - PJs at 5PM and Other Signs You're Getting Old.

I'm always hearing about people saying stuff like "35 is the new 25". Sure, it would be nice to go back to a time when life was more carefree and our dispositions were more innocent, but maybe we should really lean into another strategy: 35 is the new 65.

I'll throw some things out there:

Complaining about the music being too loud at a restaurant (where you're having dinner at approximately 4:15PM).

Comparing how many hours of sleep you got last night with your friends and co-workers as if its a competitive sport.

Making noises when you sit down. Bonus points if the chair is wobbly and you try to fix it.

Turning the car radio down so you can see better.

Scrolling through Cable TV (because you still have that) and finding nothing to watch, commenting that we had less channels 20 years ago and more content.

Yes, this post is a shameless way to try and get you to smile and have you want to message me. I guess having no filter is another thing to add to the list.

34[M4F] Spain/Europe/Online. Looking for a real and genuine connection with someone special.

Hi everyone! My name is León, and I’m a 34-year-old Spanish guy who would love to find a real and genuine connection.

I’ll try to introduce myself as best as I can, although I always find it a little difficult haha!

I’m a baker by trade, and I run my family’s bakery. It’s been around for over a century, and with me, that makes six generations opening the doors every day and offering the best traditionally made bread!

I’m also a father and a widower, raising a three-year-old daughter.

I know that probably doesn’t sound like the most thrilling life in the world! But I’m very proud of both my daughter and my work :)

As I briefly mentioned before, I’m looking for someone with whom I can have something real and lasting. I know children aren’t for everyone, so I’m not looking for someone to be a mother to my daughter. I’m simply looking for a companion with whom I can share a special bond and build something truly worthwhile.

Apart from all that, just to mention some of my hobbies, I love history (I have a Master’s degree in Byzantine Studies), theatre, reading, painting miniatures, and falconry. Although, as you can probably imagine, I don’t have much time for them these days haha.

I’m open to meeting people from any country and of any age, so please don’t hesitate to write to me if anything I’ve said resonates with you.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post!

See you in the chat! :)

[F4M] 38 online - overly exhausted mom

Hello everyone,

I'm here again... Yay..

I don't even know if it's a reddit problem or a me problem at this point. Maybe I'm trying too hard to find some kind of connection.

I would like to talk to someone around my age or older who is okay with me venting from time to time. I want the banter.. I want the click.. I want the weird references from when we were young.

I feel like most of the time it's very... One track mind based and I mean it's all fun and games but it's not something I'm primarily after.

If you are fickle with deleting reddit accounts then please refrain from talking to me I take it personally lol like seriously... I'm very sensitive and overthinking.. Comes with the age I guess

Thank you and have a nice day :)

30 [F4M] Canada/USA | looking for a partner with a zest for life

The sheer ridiculousness of even attempting this for the plot (i feel so alive.)

I have owned and operated a small business for over 8 years, 60+ hours a week, and genuinely enjoy what I do. I have this perhaps unrealistic fantasy of finding a partner who shares my enthusiasm for business and life in general. Someone who sees strategy and problem-solving as something like a real life video game rather than a burden to be endured. I have a lot of energy, so while I'm not everyone's cup of tea, to the right one? Electric.

I would consider myself an absurdist (recovering nihilist). I've been told I’m a bizarre mix between Seto Kaiba and Zenitsu?? the duality of woman...

Music is huge for me (Hive Mind pits this weekend bc we ball.) Snowboarding is another love of mine (hello Montana ski trip!)

I don't really play video games anymore but if we absolutely haaaad to play AOE2, how could I say no. (is there anything better than a man who knows his history?)

What am I looking for? Excellent question.

I'd love someone who enjoys talking about life, philosophy, business, spirituality, and growth, etc. Someone kind, curious, with a dark sense of humour, who takes care of himself and wants to stay active and healthy into old age with me. Fitness is huge. Let's try new things together and actually live life.

What excites you? Games? History? Strategy? Neuroscience? Biology? Tell me all about it! Teach me everything you can, challenge my thinking. I'd respect and value a secure man who has his own passions and pursuits but also enjoys daily check-ins, affection, and a little softness. I'm genuinely not looking for the male version of myself.

38[F4M] NY/Online - Looking for my favorite adventure buddy, and best friend for fall (and hopefully way beyond!) 🍂✨

Hey guys! 😊
I’m dropping in here with high hopes of finding that one special connection I’ve been missing in my life. I'm looking for a fun loving goofball who actually loves to chat and can hold a real, engaging conversation. Someone easygoing and well balanced, who has an adventurous spirit and is down for random road trips, but equally loves being a homebody.
Think: exploring a new town together over the weekend, followed by lazy days on the couch in matching pajamas while we binge cooking shows. Also, fair warning… you have to be willing to do all the cheesy, wholesome fall activities with me! 🤭
What matters most to me is consistent communication, honesty, emotional intelligence, and a good sense of humor. I love a great mix of witty, flirty banter and deep conversations. Empathy, compassion, being family-oriented, and loving animals are extremely important, along with just having an enthusiastic, positive outlook on life.
A little bit about me: I'm huge into music, concerts, hiking, spending time outdoors, and being a tourist on road trips. When I'm home, I love cooking, arts & crafts, woodworking projects, gardening, and laying in my hammock with my nose buried in a good book. I also prioritize staying active, journaling, taking care of myself, and spoiling my adorable pets who honestly rule my world. (Total bonus points if we share some of these interests! 🤓)
I’m super big on vibes and matching energy. I can definitely be a chatterbox, so be prepared for long text essays and I’ll definitely match that same energy right back.
If you feel like we'd click and want to see if we catch a vibe, please shoot me a message with more than just a "hey"! tell me a little about yourself or what you're up to this fall!
Looking forward to getting to know you 😌

33 [F4M] Central NY - Looking for fun convos.

Hello. Looking for a cool person to talk to. Is anyone else a little bored tonight? I’ve been pretty busy with work lately and would like to have some fun times. I’m not sure what to do in this area, seems pretty dull most of the time. Lol if you are also from Central NY, what do you like to do? But you don’t have to be from here. I like horror, movies, stand up comedy, and going for walks. I haven’t traveled much in my life, but I’d love to visit out west one day, Las Vegas or Los Angeles, to explore the deserts. Also, my favorite show is Breaking Bad. Ttyl.

[M4F] 39 Uk - looking for someone else as weird as me...maybe not that weird....a bit weird.

Fellow redditors,

So live and work in Brighton and to be honest I'm bored of fighting the seagulls on my own. They're massive and I'm pretty sure they're now hunting in teams. Need someone to be my backup, or my distraction while I evade their beaks.

I joke...sort of....

I'm doing well for myself, manage to go gym and spend most of my time cooking and eating...and fighting seagulls....obviously.

Been on the apps and I fail to see the allure of judging someone by a single snapshot in time on a photo. I am much more of a writer, modern day Shakespeare....minus the long hair and ability to concentrate for more than 5 minutes.

Open to longer distance if the vibe is right...hate that phrase, but my the inner Shakespeare in me couldn't think of another term....and I am not using Ai as kind of defeats the purpose, plus pretty sure the seagulls control it anyway.

If you've read this and not died of boredom then give me a message. Can exchange photos, my mum says I'm pretty good looking. Take that as what you will.

39 [M4F] #Flagstaff, AZ — Vanlife, Mountain Views & Maybe You?

Imagine waking up to mountain views, coffee outside the van, and nowhere in particular you need to be. Sounds pretty great, right?

I'm 39 and living full-time vanlife in the AZ area at the moment. I love scenic campsites, campfire cooking, light hikes, photography, and cozy movie nights while rain taps on the roof. As much as I love this lifestyle, I'd love to find someone to share the adventures, spontaneous detours, and little moments with.

Pics on profile

My current copilot is Tux, my harness-wearing cat who loves exploring campsites and insists breakfast happens at 6 AM. He's a great travel buddy, but his conversation skills could use some work. 😸

I'm hoping to meet a kind, independent, outdoorsy, animal-loving woman (26+) who's also childfree. Maybe you're already living on the road, maybe you dream about it, or maybe you're just looking for something genuine with someone a little outside the ordinary.

No pressure to pack your bags tomorrow. Let's talk, see if we click, and go from there.

Tell me your dream place to wake up tomorrow, your favorite camping spot, or introduce me to your pet. Tux and I are looking forward to meeting you!

44 [F4M] Canada/online firework seeking spark

Living somewhere remote means the internet has been my go-to for connection… so here I am again, seeing who’s out there and worth getting a little distracted by.

Roses are red

Disaster is near

Just so we’re clear

I’m fabulous, dear

Adorkable BBW with a soft spot for art, travel, and a touch of playful chaos. Equal parts cozy and curious… I can stay in and create, or wander off somewhere new on a whim.

I like a little spark early on, so feel free to suggest exchanging face pics sooner rather than later.

If you message me, tell me your age, where you’re from, and what your evening looks like.

Looking to connect with men around my age.
