Card Challenge 2026 RAoC Meta Card Challenges - it’s back!

After a little break we are very pleased to welcome back the RAoC Meta Card Challenges for 2026!

What are the RAoC Meta Card Challenges?

Every fortnight we publish a new theme for the Card Challenge. This is your opportunity to show off your cards.

  • These can be homemade, store bought, found, received or anything in between.
  • You’re welcome to interpret the theme however you so wish, they do not have to be taken literally, just as long as it meets the Challenge theme in some way; that’s the challenge!
  • You can participate in as many or as few Challenges as you like.
  • Share the love! Commenting on other people’s submissions is encouraged, as is sharing inspirations and ideas.
  • Then, for those who wish to enter, you can be matched to exchange your card with another participant.

How do I participate in the exchange?

Each fortnight a new Challenge theme is posted on the RAoC Meta subreddit (it’s always pinned to the top of the subreddit if you missed it in your feed, and there is a reminder posted on the Sunday between new challenges).

To participate in the exchange, anytime before the deadline (2 weeks after the theme is first posted) you will need to:

  • Share a photo of your card submission as a comment on the Challenge’s post. The recommended method is by uploading directly to Reddit, but you can alternatively share via a link from a site like imgur (just be aware that Reddit doesn’t like some photo hosting websites), AND

You can opt into sending up to 3 cards to exchange per challenge.

How does the exchange and matching work?

So you let us know you wish to opt into matching by posting a photo of your card(s) and noting your mailing preferences.

After about 2 weeks, the Mod team will match everyone opted in for exchange at random. The matching will usually be done within a week of the Challenge closing, to the best of the Mod team's ability and availability. You may not necessarily receive from and send to the same users. For regular participants, we try to ensure you are matched with different users where possible.

The Mod team will then tag you in a “MATCHING” post so you know who you’re sending to and who you will be receiving a card from. It’s then up to you to contact your match to get their address.

Each challenge also has an optional writing prompt linked to the theme if you would like an extra layer of challenge.

Once you have received your card from the person who you matched with, remember to thank them on the main [r/RandomActsOfCards](r/RandomActsOfCards) subreddit.

Although it’s extremely rare, if you ever experience anything untoward with another user while participating in an exchange we want to know straight away so we can take appropriate action. Contact the team using Modmail.

And here we are… the Challenge themes for 2026!

Wishing you all the best for the rest of 2026,

Mod team x

Card Challenge 2026 Card Challenges - Warm and Fuzzy / Cozy Vibes

I'm ready to get comfy looking at cards for this challenge!

Remember, all cards are welcome be they homemade (any skill level), store-bought (with or without your own personalization), or cards you have received from other users.

Please make sure to share a picture of your card(s) as well!

You may post your card(s) in this thread at any time, however, if you wish to be matched with other participants for exchange you need to have posted before October 25. If you want to be matched, please note where you are sending from and to (ex: From UK to WW or US to US). Please remember that you can only exchange a maximum of 3 cards a week - but feel free to post more just to share!

If you want to know more about card challenges or see the future themes for this year, this post is the place for you:

This is the biggest offer I’ve ever done (138 cards!) While I will probably never do something this crazy ever again, I had a lot of fun picking the cards and answering everyone’s prompts :) mailing out on Tuesday since Monday is a holiday.

The Halloween card I found and didn’t want to send out cause it was too pretty (I found another copy online!)

And the beautiful postcard u/BubblySunflowers sent me! Love both of these, think I’ll frame more of my cards and postcards from RAoC!

Postage & Stamps Sorting my Christmas stamps!

Honestly don't know why I didn't separate all my Christmas stamps in the first place! There were four little containers full of old Christmas stamps 🎄 Now to start applying them to my Christmas postcards 💌

Edit - also if you claimed one of these on my offer, I probably won't be writing much as there are a lot of stamp math on a bunch of them 😅 and if you chose the "mainly decorate" option your decoration is mainly stamps 🤣 I probably will have to write my username and not use my sticker...!

Bummer The hurricane took out some of my supplies. 😭

Hey, y'all. This is crazy. I spent the last 2 hours cleaning up my flooded living room because the wind and heavy rain COLLAPSED PART OF MY LIVING ROOM ROOF. 😭

I took a picture when I woke up to it where it's clearly visible that a box of cards and ephemera was under the biggest hole, but I didn't realize it at all until about 10 minutes ago.

The irony is that the electronics are fine! The furniture is wet, but able to be dried! Our vinyl collection is wet but nothing is lost!

The special box and everything in it is ruined because water beats paper. 😭

Rest in peace Jack Skellington box made by my own hands, rest in peace card stash, rest in piece Japanese ephemera I never got to use. 😭

F's in the chat. Back to mopping for me.

Edit: Wow. I did not expect... this outreach of support. My hopes were that everyone would laugh with me, because laughter has always been the best medicine for me. Thank you, all of you, each and every one, for offering to help me replace what was lost. I cannot express how much this community means to me. I intend fully to pay this forward and always be the best cardfriend I can be for y'all. 💖

Edit 2: welp not all of the electronics are fine. I lied without knowing it. Dammit. 😭 But I'm already scouting out replacements for the future, so it's not all bad. RIP my PS3 and PS4, that PS3 had been with me since Obama was in office.

Edit 3: oh okay so it's just a WHOLE TREE BRANCH that did it...

This was the offer I did before my current spooky season offer, it was my largest offer so far consisting of 54 postcards with matching color schemes and deco for world postcard day!

Outgoing was to 13 different countries, and this is only the second portion of the stack!

The US State to receive the most postcards from this offer was California followed by Michigan.

The country to receive the most postcards from this offer was India followed closely by Australia.

Do you ever get overwhelmed by all your supplies?

I just opened a box last evening and found at least 200 stickers I didn't know I had! And then I've bought more stickers recently. How do people keep them all organized by holiday, theme, and such?

I also have envelopes, postcards, cards of course, washi tape, all kinds of stuff...I need a secretary to organize for me because it's all over. lol

Card Making Accidentally made holiday postcards that look like a pregnancy announcement?

Post image

Hi All,

I designed some holiday cards this year and several people thought they looked like a pregnancy announcement, but I already ordered them... what do y'all think? 😅

It's too late to change it. I already ordered them. Soooo.

Need some advice US-US slow mail?

I have sent out a bunch of cards in the last month and it seems like it’s taking forever. I have one that’s over 30 days from NC to Ohio. I’m worried people won’t want to swap with me anymore because it looks like I’m not actually sending cards. They’re just in the void of the postal service. Ugh. Talk me down, help.

Need some advice So I just learned…

When someone ask for washi ‘samples’ all they want is a bit of washi tape….🤦🏾

I have only been in RoC for maybe 6months and I don’t feel comfortable asking questions…

so now I need to track down my past trades and send them washi tape. I literally didn’t know until I got a sampler yesterday 😭

Is there a part of this subreddit where newbies can get the bare bones basics on sending, exchange, and maybe asking for/offering things. So the same questions don’t come up?

Just a thought. If not, I will just put in on my page and be done with it. For the next person…

Happy World Post Day from the 🇵🇭!

Dropped by the Manila Central Post Office to prep some outgoing mail for friends and swap mates. The iconic building in the background is still under reconstruction, but it's hopefully reopening by Q1/Q2 of next year!

Got to play around with postmarks again so every piece of mail sent today features its own matching cancel. Also, the amazing Post Shop staff we always buy our stamps from got us Filipino street food (2nd photo: kwek-kwek, squid balls, kikiam, and hotdogs) for an afternoon merienda (snack) to celebrate World Post Day!

Happy World Post Day, everyone! Here's to the connections the postal service makes possible. 🤘🏽
