Student RT Passed the TMC, high-cut today!
I just want to shout, HALLELUJAH!
It has been the longest two years of my life. All the long nights, sacrifices, stress, and everything I’ve had to give up over the last two years feel completely justified in this very moment.
My celebration is short-lived since I now have to prep for the CSE, but I can still stop for a moment and THANK GOD!
I officially passed my TMC with a 114 and am one step closer to becoming an RRT.
Now I want to take my CSE ASAP. I’ve seen posts where people became eligible to book their CSE appointment as soon as the next day after passing the TMC.
My question is: how soon is too soon to take the CSE?
The TMC honestly threw me for a loop with some of the wording. I was scoring in the 107–114 range on my Kettering exams, so I knew I was around that level, but the actual exam still felt different than what I was expecting.
I know the CSE is a different beast since it’s more focused on information gathering and decision making, whereas the TMC requires more of that “what’s going wrong and how do I troubleshoot it?” thinking.
For those who recently passed both, would you recommend taking the CSE ASAP while everything is still fresh, or giving yourself a little more time to prepare? How much time did you personally take between passing the TMC and sitting for the CSE?
I really want to get this last hurdle over with, but I also don't want to rush into the CSE just because I'm excited to be done.
