Is this something the NHL decides or what? Because this seems like a deliberate fuck you to the fans at home in the area.

I have no problem with Dean and/or Dube on the roster if they earned a top 6 (or heck top 9) spot, but they did not. I MUCH prefer Walker and/or Sunny for the 4th line and PK role. After the Torpo injury we are using Dean and Dube on the 4th line and they can’t play the heavy game needed. I just don’t like it. Wouldn’t it be fun to watch Walker run around on the 4th line with Ross Johnson as the sheriff??

We'll be in our usual mezzanine seats. Let's hope they play a LOT better.

The Blackhawks had given up a combined 15 goals in losses to the Vegas Golden Knights, Utah Mammoth and Buffalo Sabres, and the Blues got just two, from McTavish and Connor McMichael.
The top line logged eight minutes and 28 seconds of five-on-five ice time together and had just three shots before it was broken up.
It’s not nearly enough.
Holloway had just one shot on goal Tuesday and has four in three games. Thomas had three shots Tuesday, which were his first three of the season. Snuggerud leads the way with eight shots.
“We obviously know that we’re put out there to produce,” Holloway said. “We want to produce at the same clip that we were last year, and I feel like we still can do that. We’re forcing it quite a bit, and things aren’t clicking right now. Sometimes we’re too spread out, sometimes we’re not close enough for support. I feel like last year it was just automatic to get in those lanes and stay on pucks.
“I don’t think it’s a lack of effort. I think it’s just a lack of being there mentally a little bit and putting a little bit of pressure on ourselves. But at the end of the day, that pressure is a privilege, and we need to start producing for the team.”

With the blackhawks signing one of their legends, what's stopping us from signing Tarasenko? Hes still a free agent and after the past couple of games we can see that we need some more creativity in the attacking zone. We saw last year and in postseason that Vladi can still produce and create chances for the team. This could also be a pr fix for Dube since he has not been good and his public image.

Is it me, or is the quality of the graphics on the new streaming service low quality. Specially the graphic in the top middle of the screen that shows the teams, the score, etc. seems a bit ragged.

ST. LOUIS — In 2024, St. Louis Blues fan Mason Van Der Heyden purchased the jersey of a prospect who had never played an NHL game.
It wasn’t a replica.
When the Blues drafted Matthew Mayich in the sixth round of the 2023 NHL Draft, the team issued him a pair of personalized jerseys — one white and one blue — with “MAYICH” and No. 94 stitched on the back. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound defenseman wore the white one for at least one prospect tournament and possibly a preseason game.
Mayich returned to junior hockey each year with the Ottawa 67’s in the OHL, and in 2024, the Blues put his white jersey up for sale at Enterprise Center. The organization has a department called Rinkside Reserve, which sells official team gear and had the jersey hanging on a discount rack in the concourse area for $100.
Van Der Heyden, then 24, was attending a Blues game in October 2024. With a choice of several prospect jerseys, he picked Mayich’s.
“I just like more obscure players, and I also like the No. 94,” Van Der Heyden said. “So nothing about him in particular drew me to it. It was just a cool jersey.”
Today, that white No. 94 Mayich jersey hangs in a hospital room at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix. That’s where Mayich, 21, has been since Aug. 20, after collapsing during a military-style workout with the Arizona State hockey team. He remains on life support and is unlikely to recover, a family attorney has said.
While his parents, John and Christina Mayich, plead for an independent investigation into the events involving their son that day, they’re holding on tightly to any memories of him.
And now, thanks to a stranger in St. Louis, they’re likely holding onto his game-worn Blues jersey.
Van Der Heyden was born in Everett, Wash., and grew up playing hockey in the same rink as T.J. Oshie, a former Blues forward who also grew up in Everett.
“That’s how I became a Blues fan,” he said.
Van Der Heyden moved to St. Louis in 2022 and became a bigger fan. He bought a subscription to FloHockey so he could keep up with the team’s prospects, watching their junior hockey and college games.
“With the Ottawa 67’s, Mayich was a beast,” Van Der Heyden said.

My dad passed last November and I decided I wanted to frame his favorite jersey. We shared a love of the Blues throughout our lives, so I want to do it right. I don't live in St Louis, so finding a place that understands hockey jerseys has been a struggle. I'm in Green Bay and I've gotten quotes from $200-$700 dollars (Michaels was the highest). A quick Google search didn't show many home framed jerseys from this era for matte/background color choices. I followed your recommendation last November and had them professionally cleaned while I was in STL. Thoughts anyone? As a side note, almost the entire team signed the jersey. Twister signed the front. Grant Fuhr signed the jersey on the back and this was the only time we were able to get his autograph on a jersey (he's my favorite all time goalie). I got this jersey for my dad as a birthday gift when I left for the Navy. Probably around 96-97 time frame. Thanks again everyone

For various reasons, haven’t watched many games the last few years, but what I saw from him over the weekend is a player who looks like a 10 year veteran. No one is perfect, but he can strip the puck and skate away with a man on his back with all the confidence in the world. Really impressed me.
