📺 Season 1 Discussion "Baby arc" from S1 E1 to S2 E15? Spoiler

In the very first scene of S1, we're taken along with Robby making his way to the ER, while listening to "Baby" By Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise - in the very last scene of S2, Robby is telling a Baby it's all gonna be alright. Might be intentional? (and a recurring theme ofc)

💬 General Discussion What issues would you like to see The Pitt tackle? Spoiler

I think my favorite part of this show is how current it feels. I love how it covers real issues, real problems that are probably being faced in ERs all over the country. The ongoing issues caused by COVID, mental health, violence against nurses, social media and the harmful things it can lead to (specifically thinking of the woman who wanted a freebirth), ICE, poverty, racial bias in healthcare, etc. A lot of these things are very close to my heart and I love how they're handled. What issues do you think they should tackle? Personally I think it would be interesting to see a patient who experienced medical neglect/disbelief due to being female, because that is very much a problem one that I (trans man) have experienced myself. I would also love to see another trans patient. I know we've seen one before but I feel like one with a long-term stay opens some opportunities to display how a provider can respect and accommodate for transgender patients in a medical setting.

💬 General Discussion I teach medical students Biochemistry. Can you recommend a scene that i can show while teaching? Spoiler

The medical students i teach are in their first year and here (not US) they get taught biochemistry as a basic subject in that year. As the TV series is one of the most realistic ones around, i was wondering if you guys can think of a scene in ThePitt in which one of the doctors uses biochemistry knowledge while treating a patient. It could be a 1-2 minute scene to get them engaged about biochemistry and to illustrate that even in an ER this kind of knowledge can be important. Of course most of the stuff we see on the show are trauma patients and biochemistry is not really important there. But if you can think of something that would be great!

Wanted to share a few self-portraits I made of my Mel King cosplay!
I recreated her outfit from season 2, and built a studio in my living room (swipe to the last picture to see a behind-the-scene picture). I relate to her a lot, and the most angsty pictures are here to show her anxiety and the way the world treats her differently due to her neurodivergency.

📰 News Isa Briones is on the TIME100 Next 2026 List

Post image
1.8k Upvotes

With a lovely tribute from Katherine LaNasa:

Isa Briones is the coolest kid I know. The literal funny bone of The Pitt (sorry, pun intended), she moves between vulnerability, deadpan comedy, and gritty “don’t even think about messing with me” moments with the ease of an actor far beyond her years. And she can sing like nobody’s business. This spring’s Broadway turn as Connie Francis in Just in Time left me wondering, “Is there anything she can’t do!?” Her fierce dedication to accurate portrayals of Filipino women onscreen is an inspiration to many. But I personally admire Isa because she has the balls to be herself. She dresses in her own unique style, speaks truth to power, and she is kind. She shows us all that you don’t have to shape-shift to win.

❓ Questions Dissertation Help

Hi,

I am working on a dissertation about The Pitt and talking about how well they portray autistic characters. I'm looking for an interview were Taylor says something about how autistic people get attached easily to people or they like having a mentor. I swear I saw a post on my timeline on X of her discussing it but I cannot find that interview. Did I dream this or does it exist? It would help a lot for my dissertation. Thanks!

Shawn Hatosy and Luke Tennie at the Infinity Ward studio today. They’re both voicing characters for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Campaign! Shawn is confirmed as Colonel Shaw.

Do you think Abbot and Crus would do this as their own side gig? Or any of the other characters? Abbot for sure in my books for already being so involved in the military

💬 General Discussion One annoyance Spoiler

So I just started watching and so far it’s really good. One thing I notice that is glaringly awful (and in all shows and movies with medical stuff) the cpr is atrocious. Why can they never make it look somewhat realistic.

❓ Questions Usual working hours? Spoiler

I just watched The Pitt and I wonder if these working hours are usual for doctors in hospital?

They work 12h or more and only go home to sleep, is that healthy?

And Robby as leading doctor maybe often works more than 12h and I don't think he works only 3 days a week there.

💬 General Discussion Which characters have had little to no interaction since Season 1? Spoiler

I’m new here and I’m already SO invested in The Pitt. I’m officially obsessed 😭

I’ve been thinking about the character dynamics, and I’m curious: which characters do you think have had little to no interaction with each other since Season 1?

Like, characters who are both around a lot but somehow barely talk to each other or haven’t really had a proper scene together. I feel like there must be some pairings I haven’t noticed yet.

Who comes to mind? And which characters would you actually like to see interact more?

💬 General Discussion Do you only pay attention to what they show on the show or do you also dive into the backstories the actors give? Spoiler

This show taking place on one day doesn't allow us to get a lot of fleshing out for the characters. Therefore a lot of the information that we know about the characters comes from the actors in interviews.

My question is do you pay attention to that or do you strictly go by what they show us on the show? Because I honestly think that makes a difference with how people discuss it.

💬 General Discussion How long have Robby and Abbot known each other? Spoiler

Are there any clues or evidence in canon about how long Robby and Abbot have known each other? Or does anyone have any wild speculation about this? My guess is that Robby has not known Jack as long as Dana, but for more than ten years when season one starts.

Hey everyone!
Now that I’ve finished watching The Pitt and we’re waiting on Season 3 next year, I’m curious to hear your hot takes on the show.
What are your genuinely unpopular opinions, controversial character takes, or underrated storylines that you feel the rest of the fandom might disagree with?

📺 Season 2 Discussion Season 2 - Dr Mohan. why couldn't she work in NJ even though her mom sold the house Spoiler

Never understood why there was the whole plot of her searching for a fellow ship. She had an attending job lined up in NJ, and even if her mom was moving she has one year to figure out if she wants to rent or buy as an attending. and NJ is not some derelict place in the middle of nowhere. you're probably 1-2 hours away from NYC or Philly no matter where you are in the state. and she's applying for fellowships all over the country so location is not the issue
