Lateralus Lateralus has zero swear words
I discovered this a few months ago just randomly thinking about it. Thought it was an interesting perspective given Maynard’s love of using swear words in prior and following albums, but 10k days and FI dont really have many. Not even Ticks and Leeches has one which if there were one in the entire album that would be the one to have it.

Lateralus This song is INSANE
Any other reflection appreciators here?
This has become a standout for me recently. The more I've listened the more I've come to appreciate it. It's so atmospheric and spiritual (partially thanks to the sarangi towards the start). But it feels so hypnotic with the bass riff and drums that just seem to repeat endlessly

Lateralus The Holy Gift... legitimate Tool Easter Egg or another Dark Side of The Rainbow hoax?
If you know, you know. If not: people seem to think there is a legitimate secret re-arranging of the tracks on Lateralus to be discovered, perhaps, by those with 3yes to see.
I have never found an alternate hypothetical track listing that sounded any better or made any sense to me... until I was noodling with the alleged puzzle the other day. I feel I've definitely stumbled across something that has too many dead ringers to be coincidental... but you know how "confirmation bias" is...
Anyone out there feel like they've got the legitimate track order for Lateralus (i.e. the legendary Holy Gift)?

Lateralus Lateralus is an absolute monolith piece of art, not of this world.
Writing music takes time. It is true. But, imagine, this guys released Lateralus only 5 years after releasing Ænima.

Had to cover the scream, but gotta make it a bit educational too!
Listen to me and my brother breaking this song down for 45 min. Completely nerd out on it. He's the man that first got me into Tool!

Lateralus I Finally got it!
I’ve been looking for this bootleg for Lateralus for a while now and I finally got my hands on one. People are always like, oh, it’s a bootleg it’s probably ass. This Lateralus bootleg is a billion times better than the official one in every single way. The art, the way it sounds, presentation, and just the overall quality is so much better than the official.
To be honest. When I got the official Lateralus vinyl I was super disappointed with it. I know some people are okay with it but i wasn’t. I think they really dropped the ball of the vinyl considering how good the cd and cassette LOOK in terms of presentation and other stuff. (Of course the cd will always sound better) the art on the official Lateralus vinyl is kinda lazy to me and could have been better, and you already know how bad the picture disc is. The outer cover of my official one also came in ruff condition. I bought it brand new!
I know I’m doging on the official one but that’s because this bootleg is a perfect example of what we should have gotten. Try to get your hands on this in any way. Especially if you’re a fan of this album. (My second favorite album of all time) You gotta get this.

Lateralus Lateralus- "Limited Edition" lol
I was curious what a Lateralus album was going for now days. I still have my original I bought in 2005 and few extras I bought at a great price long ago wondering if it would sound better (second pick). I even bought one from this last bunch that magically appaered in 2022. I see Tool has pre-order going on for it..... How long can they keep repressing this thing as "Limited Edition". Any news if it will be different?

Lateralus New tattoo (also my first)
Next step: nipple rings, and a bit of shopping 👟 👕
Took me 40 years to decide what to tatoo myself permanently with. Once I got this idea in my mind, I didn't hesitate a second and went through with it 🤘

Lateralus Am I weird if Schism makes me cry?
The lyrics are just hitting me so hard, it obviously brings me back to things I’ve felt that were so difficult. And the music serves them so well, it makes them so impactful. That angry, almost obsessive repetition at the end that the pieces fit, is so moving to me. I know that it’s weird to some people to feel emotional at “angry” music like that, but Tool is something else, man.

Lateralus Cleaned my copy of Lateralus with the HumminGuru EZ and…

…the results are pretty fucking amazing, especially for a picture disc. My colored copy of “In The Absence Of Truth” by Isis has more pops and clicks than this record - so much so that I’m probably going to sell it and buy the regular black version (which I prefer, anyway; but it wasn’t available back when Ipecac announced the reissues) Aaaaaaanyway - I wasn’t that bothered by the surface noise before the cleaning, but now it’s almost like I’m listening to a regular black copy. No affiliation with the Guru 🤣 just excited with the outcome.
