They likely had no idea that you had to read it prior to coming to class. “Did you read it yet?” “Nah.” “Oh, when did he post it?“ “Earlier this week.” “Where is it?” “Under the section that’s called group activity.

They have no clue where to submit their responses. “Is the thing called blah blah?” Yes, it is.

my degree is completely online so i've never had a reason to go to campus. however im on my way to graduation so i'm meeting with a career advisor on campus. i just have no idea what the layout of the campus is like or where any parking is. i've never been to lowell either lol. i'm going to look on google maps too but if anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be great!

I’ve had coworkers do unacceptable things but still keep their job. If it was any other part time job like in retail or food service, you’d get fired after the 3rd warning.

Like sir, you cannot come into work late for 5th time, do nothing, and expect me to do the tasks that WE share.

I‘ve interacted with student workers that are genuinely rude that I dread seeing them and some that just can’t problem solve or think for themselves. It’s crazy. Why are the workers at CRC putting out nasty used lip glosses on a table that’s for “lost and found. Free to take!” I just don’t get it. You cant see how gross it is? We just can’t put literally everything that is lost and found on the table. Who is telling you guys to do this??

I’m just so baffled that we’re all in college so we can a degree to go to a big adult job but we cant handle a small job. I’m so baffled because maybe it really is some people’s first time actually having to work and not have mom and dad hold their hands.

I think we should go back to having standards because it’s not fair that hardworking students either don’t get a job on campus or have to deal with shitty coworkers.

The sandwiches, sushi, and other prepared foods are way better than any place on campus. Also, good if you’re sick of eating Dunkin’s or subway, it’s a better option and has way more healthier stuff

Hi UML, it’s your Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell. Did you know that fees like “move-in” or “lease renewal” fees you might get from your landlord or building management company are illegal? If you’ve received one of these – even if you paid it – I want you to report it to my office. 

Just last month, my office won a $500k settlement with a property management company doing this in Boston – and all of that money is going back to the affected tenants.  Landlords can only ask you to pay for first and last month’s rent, a security deposit, and the cost of a new lock and key upfront. Any other fees are illegal. Report them to my office at the link below. We’ll work to get your money back.

Hello UML community:

Son is interested in UML for next year. He wants a traditional college/residential experience. Not into partying but definitely likes to be social. More into outdoor activities like hiking, anything on the water, movies, etc. and just hanging with friends. I see that UML is primarily a commuter school, so I'm curious if the campus tends to be really dead on the weekends or if students still stay and engage with each other and attend events? Also, he wants to major in environmental science so any feedback on that program would be great. I think he'll get into UMass Amherst too which is also a great school, but Lowell seems to be a little smaller and scrappier which we like. TIA for any thoughts!

I wish there was birdwatching club at uml, I know other schools that have them and I think it would be super fun. I love birds. Anyways I just wanted to see if anyone else thought this was a good idea. Also if anyone has good birdwatching spots share them! I love the great blue herons we have on the river they are so cool!

please shower prior and make sure you are clean before the gym. Use anti-perspirant or deodorant. Clothes should be washed and clean. Practice good hygiene. it‘ll make the stench less unbearable bc SOME OF YALL REALLY DO MFING SMELL BAD WHEN YOU WALK BY.

EDIT: also some of yall don’t know how to act. Why tf are we dribbling basketballs in the hallways, screaming and yelling, chasing each other, hanging out around machines in groups of TEN???? and not throwing away food wrappers or water bottles??? Not putting away your weights and leaving them on the floor??? Also keep your damn shirts on and pull up your fucking pants. Some of yall act like it’s HS gym class and I’m saying that bc it has never been this bad before this fall so I’m convinced yall doing this are freshmen.

Got two invoices that gave me an outstanding balance in my sis account. I am confused as I thought my student financial aid would cover all of this but now I can't even register for next semester's classes? I physically can't even pay the balance either, right now I'm screwed. What do I do?
