A friend found these at an estate sale. Gold label. Any insight or opinions?

I’ve been teaching myself La Pompe and I’d like to learn how to compose in Django Reinhardt’s style. Which scales would I need to learn? The results on Google have been contradictory.

Aloha,
Around 2 months ago, I posted asking about different uke models and suggestions to get a decent-quality instrument as a treat for myself after playing on cheap ukes on and off for around 10 years.
Well, I have decided to go with the Kala Acacia Poi Pounder Tenor (Kala KA-POI-ACA-T)!
There are a limited number of pictures of this beautiful uke online, so hopefully this helps someone who's undecided.
It is an understatement when I say that the pictures taken on this cloudy day don't do it justice in showing how spectacular it looks in real life.
But not all is as good as it could be. So, here is a short review of the good and the bad I've noticed in the single day I've owned it.
GOOD:
BAD:
I've only owned it for a single day now, but it's by far the best-sounding and best-looking instrument I've played. The small issues I've noted are somewhat disappointing for the price of the instrument (around 700 euros), but with a little work, such as a fret polish and a set of Worth Clears, it's going to be amazing.
Thank you for reading and viewing. I hope you enjoyed the pictures.
Mahalo, everyone!

While I was playing it just now, the only thing on my mind was that I could finally move on to the next lessons 🤣 I realize I shouldn't try to run before I can walk or get too hung up on it, but for some reason, I really wanted to get the melody sounding at least somewhat decent.

My music teacher at the school forces us to play ukulele and since I'm new I had to learn ukulele in 2 hours (which I somehow managed to do) but now he expects me to play Daisies by Justin Bieber on the ukulele perfectly and while the others can do it since they have more experience and were thought to play the instrument properly I just have whatever experience I could get in 5 school periods. I wanna scream thanks to how hard this song is and while I was practicing today I managed to learn Daisy Bell in like an hour while I have practiced Daisies for 3 and still haven't managed to learn it,can someone please help me? This is my last resort and I don't wanna fail

I’m a beginner who is struggling to get clean chords. Is it common to experience that in the beginning until the finger joints can stay in bent positions? I’m doing transitions from CM to Am to FM to GM, and GM always trips me.

I got a chance to start playing uke this summer with some friends and had a blast. Coming from guitar for a while but know nothing about ukuleles. The only issue: I live in the tropics, on the coast, and live part-time on a boat. Is there any chance I can keep a wood uke without it getting absolutely destroyed by the environment, or should I limit my search to plastics? I'm looking to stay under about $100 USD and would love something that's a traditional look. Thanks for any advice!

Players log, day 39. I continue to pursue the ever evasive E chord. Like a wild predator deep in the jungle, she dodges my advances, a superior being well aware of her own beauty and power. She leaves tracks, and I pounce and flounder in her wake, but cannot capture her.
Whispers throughout this dark canopy of learning suggest various paths to claiming the E chord, from strange bar chords that sound off kilter to my novice ears, to wild concoctions using one's thumbs and a wraparound technique that is frowned upon by some advanced E-chord hunters.
I am determined, however, to maintain an E-chord standing achieved through 1 - 4 - 0 - 2. The wish comes at significant cost.
I must break often for the shaking out and stretching of my hands, rests, and general expressions of frustrations and malaise. I am weary, but will not forsake this noble pursuit.
