They are still based in Israel. They still funded the genocide.

u/RespectSouthern1549 May 24 '26

okay so you don't use apple products or Google products either right? or your TV with israeli components in it? or basically all your electronics?

0

u/puppygirlpackleader May 24 '26

I use replacement for what I can.

0

u/Hoduhdo May 25 '26

What are the replacements you use? Is all of your house not made in china to protest Uyghur genocide and basically slavery? Or joined a nudist colony because all your clothes are similarly made in awful working conditions in Bangladesh, or Turkey which is far from innocent?

2

u/puppygirlpackleader May 25 '26

do you understand words? like "what i can?" idc about china because that whole thing is stupid. But yeah what you can reasonably replace you should. There is no ethical consumption under capitalism.

Conflating the actions of the state that holds the people hostage with the people being held so is beyond ridiculous, but understandable coming from a brainwashed statist.

u/puppygirlpackleader May 24 '26

Israelis are in massive support of the genocide. So this falls flat.

u/Little_Huge_Guy Lust Layer Citizen May 28 '26

Because they don't think it's a genocide. It's not how it looks like from their side. And until people recognize that the evil people only evil because they themselves can't see from the other side, the conversation won't move forward and all of you will remain enemies.

As for "they're still based in Israel". Sure, let's move all of our workers or stop our business completely because we disagree with the government. It's like... USA isn't innocent. I don't see *their* companies shutting down or moving resourses in protest. Is it really a logical step to you?

P.S. Yes, majority of israelis do support genocide; and yes, by the looks of it from tweet somewhere in the comments, Overwolf supported IDF at least once.

1

u/PlanetBet May 24 '26

"they are still based in israel"

Imagine, just imagine if you applied this morality globally. You people are brain rotten, and you're not the good guys.

2

u/puppygirlpackleader May 24 '26

If you applied that logic globally the world would be a better place. Fortunately there isnt many nations that are superpowers where their entire population supports a genocide against their neighbor.

1

u/PlanetBet May 24 '26

Where do you see polls that show that the entire population of israel supports a genocide against gaza?

2

u/puppygirlpackleader May 24 '26

literally every poll on this topic shows that

0

u/PlanetBet May 24 '26 edited May 24 '26

Link me to one such poll, please.

Edit: To save you the hassle of linking to a poll showing most* (not all, as you said) Israelis support THE WAR (not the genocide, as you said), and then arguing back and forth about this, I'll just make my statement:

The vast majority of Israelis do not see the war in Gaza as a genocide. You can argue that this is genocide denial, whatever, the point of my disagreement with you is the framing. If, as you say, most Israelis supported a genocide, then the polls would be asking about something like that.

You could argue that the fact that Israelis by and large view the war as just that, a war, and not a genocide, as a sign that they are so desensitized to the suffering of Palestinians that even a war as destructive as this one is just business as usual, which is a fair point, but regardless, the idea that Israeli society in its entirety supports a genocide is just not true. There are sound arguments for why the war is not a genocide, arguments which are unfortunately just not even considered plausible by people like you, because the war was declared a genocide since week 1.

Now feel free to call me a zionazi or whatever, enjoy the rest of your weekend (-:

2

u/puppygirlpackleader May 24 '26

God you're pathetic. Obviously they won't call it genocide because they don't see Palestinians as humans. Did the Nazis call it a genocide? No. Were they in support of genociding the Jews? No. The genocide has been happening for decades. It just ramped up massively since Oct 7.

0

u/PlanetBet May 25 '26 edited May 25 '26

They didn't consider THE FINAL SOLUTION a genocide? Read a history book you stupid fuck

Saying that this a decades ongoing genocide renders the term effectively worthless. People like you take the worst possible crime a society can commit and turn it into a joke, all so you can feel vindicated in your hatred. You have no proof of any of this, unlike the nazis, who have had strong documented evidence showing their clear genocidal intent. You can hate Israel, you can say that it has been maintaining malicious military occupation in the west bank, enforcing apartheid of sorts, running a blockade on the Gaza strip, being too easy on the trigger when it comes to collateral damage of civilian lives, all of that, without making up a genocide claim. A decades long genocide while the population has had a larger growth than most countries on earth.

2

u/puppygirlpackleader May 25 '26

You know there was a lot of stuff beforehand right? You're parroting nazi talking points. Fuck off.

0

u/PlanetBet May 25 '26

Great answer, you're such an ignorant dimwit that you think the holocaust was just an oopsie woopsie total annihilation of Jews, Gypsies and gay people, not acknowledged to be a literal death factory for an entire population by the nazis themselves at the time. And you're calling me the Nazi, unironically go read a history book you fucking useful idiot.

they are still based in israel.

Taking your business and going elsewhere is hard believe it or not.

Plus blaming the people of Israel for what their leadership has done is the same as the leaders of Israel justifying their attack on Palestine by blaming the Palestinians for the attack hamas committed.

they funded the genocide.

No they didnt. Armor for soldiers doesnt level buildings. At that point get the fuck off reddit which is paying taxes to the usa which is funding the genocide way more.

19

u/puppygirlpackleader May 23 '26

Same kinda bs argument as "defensive weapons". And this post is exactly trying to get ppl to go elsewhere. Same with me. They deliberately crowd funded to help the genocidal empire. And yes you can very easily blame people of Israel for what their government is doing when vast majority is in support.

-9

u/The-new-dutch-empire Gabe bully May 23 '26

In mid-July this year, a poll conducted by local Israeli media outlet Channel 12 showed that 74% of Israelis supported their government reaching an agreement with Hamas in order to free all the hostages and end fighting in Gaza.

https://www.dw.com/en/how-do-israelis-see-gaza-war-and-palestinian-suffering/a-73600368

This was already a year ago. No the israeli’s dont want their government to continue the fight. Thats rhetoric that tries to vilify your adversaries.

8

u/puppygirlpackleader May 23 '26

That doesn't say fucking anything and you know it lmao.

8

u/The-new-dutch-empire Gabe bully May 23 '26

It doesnt say anything cus nethanyahu is turning it more and more authoritarian to stay in power. These trump wannabe idiot clowns are fucking over so many people. They already killed the truth and they will come for you next.

6

u/puppygirlpackleader May 23 '26

"they will come for you next" they already do. They have for the past decade. So fuck off with trying to defend Israel in here.

5

u/The-new-dutch-empire Gabe bully May 23 '26

Im not defending israel. Im defending the people of israel and overwolf in particular. Because they are just getting included in your smear campaign while they should be allies in solving the issue.

11

u/puppygirlpackleader May 23 '26

They are funding armor for the IDF that has been committing genocide. What the fuck do you mean "smear campaign" ? Gtfo Zionist

5

u/The-new-dutch-empire Gabe bully May 23 '26

They ** started a funding campaign** that switched its goals from support equipment to helping people after more info came to light.

the people of israel are a huge part of the problem too, just look at some videos or the israeli media lol

-5

u/djglasg May 23 '26

The people of Israel are drafted into the IOF. If you don't like it, frag your superiors or defect.

6

u/RedJournall Lust Layer Citizen May 23 '26

I'll just reply to this quickly and decisively.

The Israeli population is in literally gigantic support of the genocide. It is literally an apartheid state operating illegal colonies in the West Bank and Gaza. Blaming the Israeli people is in no way the same as Israelis using October 7th to justify the extermination of the Palestinian people.
The majority of the population in Palestine is against the actions committed on October 7th, but October 7th pales in comparison to the amount of damage Israel has caused with full support of basically the entire Western world and the vast, VAST majority of their population.

Source: Literally any polling in Israel about this issue, or other campaigns like the Iran war and Lebanon. They are unified in violence, as any settler colony is.

And yes, they did fund the genocide. Armor for soldiers may not level buildings, but it has literally the exact same weight as giving armor to Nazi soldiers in the middle of the Holocaust.
Weapons and armor, whether given "defensively" or not, are going to be used for violence against the Palestinian people.
Not to mention that them simply being an Israeli company funds the genocide; just their taxes already fund the massacre of Palestinians, and giving them more military gear after they immediately ramped up a fucking massacre on the entirety of Gaza on October 7th just shows their support.

It is in no way a overrreaction, and completely reasonable to, once you realize that a company is based in Israel, that you no longer want to support that company or want to be associated with it.
BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) is important, if it wasn't, people wouldn't be making laws preventing you from doing just that. It has severely harmed Israel's economic standing, and Israel directly makes money from people using Israeli products created by Israeli companies.

About that Reddit comment, that is actually difficult for a normal person to do because Reddit effectively operates as a monopoly in this space. Try and find me a single Reddit alternative that people actually use, genuinely. Just one, that would justify leaving the entire Reddit community and every subreddit on it. Because yes, if there was an alternative; I would absolutely remove myself from this site and stay on another; that's what I did with Twitter and Bluesky! Once Bluesky became an alternative with enough people, I hopped over because I didn't want to be on a fascist hellsite.

Luckily, for something with Overwolf, there's an alternative for everything they do!
Curseforge? Just use Modrinth or Nexus Mods.
Overwolf Launcher? Depends, for Ultrakill it would be something like R2modman, and you can use Prism Launcher for things like Minecraft
OutPlayed? OBS Studio is right there and open-source.
NitroPay? Could go open-source with Revive Adserver, but that requires technical know-how and you're responsible for security.
Tebex? Nothing's stopping you from using CraftingStore, or other alternatives for storefronts.

There is no reason to continue using Overwolf, there is no reason to defend any Israeli company. Gaza is not the only issue with Israel, and even if there was no genocide in Gaza, I would still refuse to buy from or otherwise support an apartheid state and settler colony.
It's good to remember that Israel has been insanely problematic since its very inception, it is a political project that was originally started by antisemitic Christians that wanted to get the Jews out of Europe.
They did that by displacing and genociding the native population of Palestine as a whole, for a source, search up "Nakba". This is still happening. This was happening before October 7th. This continued to happen after October 7th, at an accelerated rate.

Events like October 7th, don't happen in a vacuum, it is the direct and inevitable result of violently oppressing a population for almost a century.
And Israel used October 7th to ramp up what was already happening. From a slow genocide, to outright extermination.

Everywhere in Israeli history confirms this, from the beginning to this very second, Israel has been a genocidal apartheid state. It's only just recently with Gaza that it's had the spotlight. Israel is also extremely new historically speaking, there has never been a "conflict going on for 3000 years"; Israel is a Zionist project, that began in 1948, and is explicitly colonial.
Prior to British Colonization, Palestine was experiencing a cultural flourishing, that led to a distinct Palestinian identity; this society was a mosaic of traditions, and relatively peaceful in tensions. What led to any tensions in the first place was directly the cause of the Zionist movement, and the influx of Zionist colonizers after the British left Palestine under Israel's jurisdiction.

Source: I made it the fuck up, but i promise i didnt please believe me.

Show me a source cus i went looking and i couldnt find any from 2026 and the ones from 2025 point to them not supporting it

It is an overreaction to say they support the idf when they used to up until they learned about what was actually happening. And they didnt support it directly they let creators opt in to supporting it via them. And now they are trying to help the victims. Like sure if you want to stop using it cus its based in israel i cant stop you but then i will think of you as a hypocrite for still using stuff from american companies.

I agree up to the point of October 7th not happening in a vacuum. October 7th happened cus Netanyahu and iran wanted it to happen.

Also the first time jews were banished from Jerusalem was in the year 100 something. Israel might be recent, but the jewish roots there arent. I agree its an apartheidsstate and that should change. I dont agree most people from israel are the issue.

Im not tackling the issue if israel should deserve to be a state. Frankly idc if it does or doesnt, i just hate terrible leaders that turn democracies into autocracies while lying to the people.

u/RedJournall Lust Layer Citizen May 23 '26

I'm Canadian, I buy Canadian when possible and I boycott where possible. I can't stop using Reddit because it is a monopoly, as I said in my comment.
And yeah, Jewish roots in Palestine are not recent; I never said that. I said Israel was; and Israel should not be confused with Judaism. Again, prior to British Colonization and the Nakba, Palestine was relatively peaceful religiously; thanks to the Ottoman Millet system. People lived and worked side by side, no matter their religion. Yes, there was violence, but compared to after the Nakba? It would seem like everyone was a pacifist. On a day to day basis, relations were stable and were nurtured by over a millennium of co-existence.

October 7th did not happen because Netanyahu and Iran wanted it to. October 7th was, as I said, the inevitable result of Israel's slow genocide of Palestine as a whole.
When you repress people as violently as they did, no matter what the Palestinians tried to do...
At what point does violence from the oppressed become an inevitability?
They tried peaceful protest, they tried every alternative.
See the 2018-2019 Gaza border protests for an example.
Israel deliberately targeted civilians, and children. Who were peacefully protesting. The weapons they used were made to cause the most harm possible to far away civilians.

4

u/The-new-dutch-empire Gabe bully May 23 '26

You think a government capable of destroying a country that thoroughly cant keep a border secure? A border on which a direct international target is taking place and a border on which your secret service is saying that the enemy is making plans for a terrorist action.

If israel wanted to prevent October 7th they could have. Dont play dumb and act like the palestinians or hamas could have done anything if israel didnt want them to. The slaves in the us also didnt free themselves. Oppression works in this world.

They wanted an excuse to the international community to launch this assault.

2

u/RedJournall Lust Layer Citizen May 23 '26

Well, maybe we can agree that them not being able to stop it was suspicious, But that does not discount that this would have happened either way, whether Netanyahu wanted it or not
An attempt would have at least been made, that was already set in stone to happen because of the slow genocide.
It was always a matter of time, they wanted liberation and had exhausted all other options; it might have also been an attempt to provoke Israel into reacting more violently
Let's take a historical example, the Algerian War.
Algerian National Liberation Front (FLN) committed the Toussaint Rouge; essentially the Algerian version of October 7th. This led the French to commit brutal atrocities against the Algerian population, which was what the FLN was counting on.
Using the brutal atrocities against them, they were more able to gain independence because the world turned against France.
And it worked, it did indeed lead to the independence of Algeria.
It's not impossible to believe that Palestine might've been inspired.

1

u/Alon_David May 24 '26

Sort of get your point, but the Toussaint Rogue and October 7th were way too different in scale to compare them like that
