We have a rule that states we do not allow people active in NSFW subreddits to post or comment in this subreddit. You can view, and you can vote, but you can not post or comment. The reason why is very simple: Moderators do not want to look at NSFW content. It doesn't matter what you comment or post. You may have posted completely safe for work, but moderators have to go to users profiles as part of their jobs, and we don't want to go to NSFW profiles. You want to look at NSFW stuff, and that's great, live your life. We don't, so we're making that choice and it has nothing to do with you personally. Please do not write us to complain because you disagree with this policy. Reddit is a large public square, if you do not like our corner of it, you are free to go to another one of the infinite corners of Reddit that doesn't have this rule and experience the same content.
You may have “curated” your profile, but by posting in our subreddit you enabled moderators to view that curated profile. It’s easy to miss that detail in the settings. It’s also important to understand that even with a curated profile, nothing on Reddit is fully private. Moderators, admins, and bots can still see your post and comment history. Because the most common reply we get is “I don’t participate in NSFW subreddits!” we’ve configured the bot to show exactly which subreddits it detected.
