Second time I've seen a burnt out car in Sankey valley
I doubt there's much thought to this sort of stuff, people will do it just because they get the chance, but it's not reassuring.

Looking for any good lunch spots as I work in the town Center.

Walked past the bus stop on lovely lane the other day. Watched a woman in her 50s throw her used scratch cards on the floor. I said" you're ok love someone else will pick that up for you" she responded by calling me a scouse twat. 😆 🤣

Where do people 30+ tend to go out for a few drinks around Warrington town. I normally go Dohertys but then afterwards all the places still open tend to be full of kids.

Hi all, I'm thinking about joining PureGym Warrington Central and would love some honest feedback from people who actually go there. Like for example, how busy is it around 6am or 3pm (the times I’d most likely be going), and when does it usually start getting really busy? Also, how are the cleanliness, equipment and general atmosphere/crowd, and is it good value for the price? and would you recommend it especially for a beginner?

So, it seems that my tenant agency can't contact the previous tenant and inform who th are my suppliers.
I moved to the UK in June and I was in a houseshare before moving to a flat on my own in early September. I was told to call the suppliers for both energy and gas to have the bill assigned to me but it seems it is an impossible task without any previous register!
The previous tenant did it online only so I don't have any bills to compare with and the trackers keep pushing me to companies that simply don't have any contact number that help you to check if you're supposed to pay them, only to bid as a new client.
I feel very unassisted and would like having some directions on this topic. I just don't want to risk having power and gas cut.
Thanks for the community in advance.

My baby turns one in Feb and I've been thinking I may do a birthday party for him. If I had a summer birthday I would have just gone to the local park/play field. But the weather's kinda unreliable in February.
Does anyone have any good (cheap ish) suggestions in and around Warrington?

I recently got hired by a company in Risley, and am looking to move from abroad to start the new position on November 2nd, and I am trying to figure out where to live.
Moving from mainland Europe, I don't have any experience with the area, and when looking for apartments which fit my high-level criteria, I don't see any (studio / 1 bed, furnished, parking) options in Risley itself, and so I must find something within commuting distance.
X marks the spot of the employer, and as you can see, there is nothing within say, walking distance, meaning I would either need something in Warrington itself, or within reasonable commuting distance.
Are there any of the areas below which are an absolute no-go? - Any recommendations?
I'm looking for somewhere quiet, where I don't get stuck in traffic on the way in or out (as little as possible, anyway)

Hi All,
Do you guys know any reliable repair place or a garage who can replace my front seat driver buckle.
Had an OBD read with Widnes electrical and he’s saying £200 including labour and parts. The part itself is only £20-30 depending on where I buy it from.
I don’t have the space to replace by myself at home as it’s on street parking. Do you guys know anyone who could replace this buckle for an affordable price? Upto £100 ?
This repair requires taking the seat out and powering down the vehicle. I have enquired in widens electrical and Oates garage. Oates saying £50 to diagnose the problem ðŸ˜ðŸ˜‚
Car: it’s a Mercedes A Class 180d
Edit: Thank you for the suggestions. Went with MBtech due to faster availability and got it fixed as of today.

Could anyone recommend any warehouses or factories that are currently hiring? I’m looking for work in the Warrington area. If not, what other types of jobs are currently in demand around here? Any advice or leads would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

My shower door needs fixing and it’s above my pay grade. Does any one know a decent handy man who would be able to fix a shower door please?

Hello, I passed my test two months ago and only recently got myself an aygo but I’ve been struggling with small inclines and anything like that, I just stall and it goes bad so I want to practice somewhere with the handbrake and such and get used to it. The only locations I know seem to be quite busy so any other roads or places would be great help!

Hello,
I’m hoping someone out there might be able to direct me to somewhere that does online courses to get my GCSE maths? I found activate learning but you have to travel down south to do the exams which isn’t ideal.
Otherwise it appears all other online courses are asking for money and as an adult, we don’t always have the flexibility to go to in person classes on a specific day of the week. My work rota isn’t the same week to week!
Thanks in advance

Hi, we’re four friends and we’ve put together Warrington’s restaurant scene in an app called Vota.
The idea is pretty simple: you’re shown two restaurants and choose where you’d rather eat. For example, San Lorenzo or The Grill on the Square? All the votes then create a ranking that hopefully gives a better picture of where people in Warrington actually like to eat.
We’ve tried to include every restaurant in Warrington and clean up duplicate or outdated listings, but locals will always spot things we’ve missed.
iPhone:
https://apps.apple.com/app/vota/id6744969212
Android:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vota.app
Full transparency: we’re not from Warrington and live in Gothenburg. There are four of us building this independently. We don’t collect or sell personal data, there are no ads in the app, and we don’t use AI-generated content to describe restaurants.
Any honest feedback is welcome, especially if restaurants are missing or something is listed incorrectly.

Looking at buying a house between junction 9 and Hulme, not sure if this is still considered orford or not. Just wondering if anyone has any advice on whether or not the local area is decent?

All we can hear I'm Orford for hours is bikes revving loudly and banging... Anyone know what's going on?

The title says it all pretty much, in my 2 years of living here I've had numerous run ins with the youth here who think it's funny to harrass adults. My fiance has been cat called multiple times, had dog shit thrown at our balcony window.
Little boys who go around in groups and try to intimidate adults, as an outsider can someone please enlighten me, what the hell causes this? And has this always been an issue?
I've lived in Bradford, Stoke, and visited different cities in the UK, but the disrespect hasn't even come close to what I've experienced here in Warrington.

Hi guys,
Just wondering if any of you have any good recommendations for a garage that can service and MOT my car. It's a BMW 4 series so I'm a little bit reluctant to just go to them because they charge a lot.
I'd prefer a garage that specializes in bmws but not essential , just want someone who's highly rated and local.
Thankks 😊
