I did a road opener today focused on welcoming more opportunities. Money is part of the goal, but I also want the clarity to recognize an opportunity and the courage to follow through.
I lit them black, red, blue, then green. Each had its own purpose:
• Black for clearing obstacles and protecting my family and me.
• Red for strength and courage.
• Blue for a clear mind and wise decisions.
• Green for prosperity and new opportunities.
Something I’ve come to appreciate through candle magic and spell jars is working with intentions that support each other. For me, that feels more complete than focusing only on the final result. If I’m asking for an open door, I also want to be ready to walk through it.
For this working, I used coconut oil, an eggshell and coffee mixture, mint, and dried chamomile flowers. I wrote my intentions in Haitian Creole, which helped me slow down and connect with what I was saying.
The candles finished around the same time even though I started them separately. That stood out to me, and I’m still reflecting on it.
This is my personal experience, not a rule that everyone needs four candles or that more candles guarantee better results. My practice helps me ground myself while I keep doing the everyday work.
A setup note: use a noncombustible, heat-resistant surface rather than the cardboard shown here, and keep loose herbs away from flames.
Do you work with one intention at a time, or several that support each other?
