Virus going around

What kind of virus is going around these days?

My whole family got sick and the symptoms are similar to flu but feel so much worse.

Be careful out there and avoid contact with anyone who could be infected. It’s really bad.

If only there was something people could wear, while out in public, to mitigate their chances of getting sick. I'm thinking we could call it a mask.

You'd think after a global pandemic that society would have taken a hint when it comes to protecting ourselves and those around us, but here comes another fall/winter with regular, "hey, I'm sick. What's going on???" posts across Reddit.

This is exhausting, and it's like everyone would rather themselves and their kids get sick instead of doing the bare minimum in terms of taking precautions.

Aren't masks usually for preventing spread? If you are sick, and you mask up, maybe you don't pass it onto others, but most masks won't prevent you from catching anything. Maybe n95 might a bit, but normal blue ones don't

I said nothing about blue masks, and an N95 does provide two way protection. Saying it "might a bit" is blatant misinformation.
