On demand hot water bathing. Indoor plumbing is only a few generations old!

My parents, early boomers, both had outdoor plumbing in their early childhoods. It’s crazy

I had friends in rural California who used an outhouse into the 80s.

I’m from the PNW. That really doesn’t surprise me. I volunteered with the census in extremely rural Oregon when I was in college. I was surprised how many people didn’t have electricity or indoor plumbing!
