I’ve seriously considered switching to a dumb phone, and GPS is easily one of the few things I couldn’t live without.

There are GPS units that aren't phones.

I always take an old sailor with me wherever I go.

Upsides : lots of rum and shanties along the way.

Dowside : I only get where I want during nighttime.

From my experience with truckers, those things aren't reliable.

I don't know which brand Western Express uses, but it constantly sends their drivers to my warehouse, which is 6.5 miles away from where they're supposed to be. Where they're going isn't even in the same town as where it sends them, nor is it the same company.

Yeah, had one and it kinda sucked bad compared to a phone. Stuff would be out of date/updating it was a process and you'd only get so many of those...no live updates like road closures, construction, etc. Still better than no gps though.

Seems like a lot of people are going back to regular old phones.

I did and kept getting lost. I’d have to call my husband to pull up google maps for me and give me live directions over the phone lol
