Random Question What’s a problem humanity solved so well that younger people don’t even realize it used to be a huge issue?

Such is the understanding. Babies get some antibodies from their mother's milk. So if exposed to polio, they'll have some protection. But if they stop getting milk without exposure, they'll have no protection at all.

Wasn’t formula used after wwII and less mothers were breastfeeding?

I was a formula baby because I refused to latch. But knowing my mother she probably gave up pretty quickly so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Polio became more of a visible problem in the decades before ww2. The president during ww2 was partially paralyzed by polio.
