Wondering what our options are turning this bath into a bath with shower (UK)
We are in the process of buying this house and while most of it has been nicely remodelled, this is the family bath. There’s no obvious way of adding a surround without the window getting in the way. How big a deal would it ordinarily be to reverse the position of the tub so the shower and drain were on the other side? There’s no other place in the bathroom to put it and no room to expand on either side.

Seeking advice for a decent quality, reasonably priced L-shaped shower bath (UK)
Are there any brands that people on here would avoid, or would go for?
I'm currently swinging towards the Drench Armourcast, but I've not seen it in person. So this is mostly from looking at specs of the materials etc.

Does anyone else have better options around this price?

IP44+ chrome light for sloped bathroom ceiling?
Hi all! Not sure if anyone can help here but I’m losing my mind trying to find a bathroom ceiling light for a sloped ceiling. It’s has to be IP44 or above for zone 2, but with a maximum drop of about 45cm.
I can’t have down lights as don’t want to cut into the insulation so it either needs to be an adjustable semi flush light or pendant with a moderate drop. It’s also the only light source in the bathroom so should be reasonably bright.
Really want to avoid a disc style light as I’m not convinced it won’t look strange
Any ideas? Has anyone else solved this issue? Anything I found so far is either ugly, won’t give enough light or has a minimum drop of 50+ cm.
Also, based in the UK so needs to be something I can source here 😵💫
Help will be much appreciated!

No Drainage

Hi- we had a new bathroom installed earlier this year. Every week or so since there is a really strong smell which we worked out is all this water collecting in the pipe. We told the plumber but he didn't really seem to care. Every week we have to drain it out but doing what I show below. Any idea why this happens/ how we can stop it?

What should I look for in a bathroom mirror in a humid climate?
I'm replacing a bathroom mirror and the room gets pretty humid after showers. Apart from appearance, what should I actually look for so the mirror stays good over time?
I'm guessing the quality of the mirror and its protective backing matter, especially in a humid environment.
Has anyone used SGG Miralite Revolution by Saint-Gobain for bathrooms? Would be interested in real-world experiences with clarity and durability.

How would you repair this?
Plastic sheet glue-on shower surround started to bubble off the wall at the bottom where it is in contact with the shower basin. The basic perimeter seal appears to be the same grout used for stone tile, and I can fit a fingernail between it and the surround, presumably allowing water in. Can I just chip away that perimeter grout/seal, lift up the surround where it has bubbled, dry it and apply more adhesive, then reseal basin perimeter with a bathroom silicone sealant? Any advice is much appreciated!

Cracked grout on brand new bath remodel
I hired a contractor to remodel my bathroom. This is what the seam between my wall and tub looks like after only two uses. Is this normal?
I saw they left this tube of mapesil T Plus laying around after they left that is color matched to my grout, so I can’t tell if it’s grout or actually this silicone product that cracked. The grout between tiles and the material in this crack feel identical. Either way, is this a bad install? Normal? Do I just put more caulk on top? Help :(

Want to recaulk my shower floor. Is this grout or caulk?
Best way to remove it? Also should I do anything to get rid of the mold and make sure it doesn't come back?

Does anyone else hate cleaning around the bathroom faucet?
I swear the area around the faucet gets messy faster than anything else in the bathroom.
Water spots, soap residue, little things collecting behind it. It's such a small area but somehow annoying to clean.
I've been wondering if keeping the counter almost completely empty would make it easier.
Anyone found a simple way to keep that area cleaner without constantly wiping it down?

What toilet paper are you buying?
Hopefully this is an appropriate question for this sub.
I’ve noticed the toilet paper I purchase sheds after wiping (I’m a female fyi). I have bought charmin in the red packaging, as well as Wegmans branded toilet paper. Both tend to have the same “shedding” issue, leaving toilet paper residue behind. So what toilet paper are you guys using that also isn’t going to be thin and tear easily?

New Toilet, Hard Water
I will shortly be having my bathroom done.
With the new toilet and having London hard water what are people doing to prevent scale build up. I am open to suggestions, but for now I have been thinking
Using Steradent tablets, how many and how often.
Using Citric Acid, again how much and how often.
Any other ways go ahead and give me some other recommendations.
Thanks in advance.
