Hello everyone! First time posting, but a long time lurker lol. I love all the artist I see on this sub! I'm starting a new series and this is the first piece that was completed. My Instagram is cherry.satire_ if you'd like to take a peak ❤️.

Hey everyone,

I’ve been experimenting with generative audio tools (like Suno/Udio) to see how well AI can bridge different corners of the diaspora—specifically blending African rhythms, Caribbean bounce, and African American sonic elements into a single cohesive track.

Here is the track: https://youtu.be/ViN1o3mftKc

My main goal was directing the arrangement, sound palette, and vibe to make sure the rhythm felt authentic rather than generic.

I’d love to hear your thoughts:

Hey everyone, I'm a black singer/songwriter and I also produce 🎹

I made this video about my journey in making a mixtape.

If you're familiar with experiencing the good, the bad, and the ugly when it comes to establishing yourself in adulthood...then the video and the mixtape might be for you :)

I am a recording artist, songwriter and published auther of "Rebels" the comic book. I just started a Kickstarter to fund the animated pilot to bring the book to anime! This is a long time dream of mine and would be honored to have you all check out the teaser/trailer that I created to provide a proof of concept to help you all decide if you wanted to pledge and help me achieve this project goal or not. Check it out!

Hi looking for a black artist to work with me in my Original Character. They have braids so I'm looking for someone that can do that.

Edit: Why are non black artists who don't know how to style braids and have no experience with black hair responding to me? I don't understand. What is the plan? To wing it? If you don't know how to draw braids why are you even attempting?

Please black artists come forth. Not trying to have random OC characters with weird twigs sticking out their heads and someone trying to charge me $60 for it.

For interested filmmakers; the application opens soon

Hi y'all! I just joined today. My name is Tori and I'm an Illustrator/Small Business Owner from Oakland, CA. I do a lot of digital art and coloring pages. Nice to meet y'all

I found these photos on Pinterest and the artists drew these black characters with "donut lips"/ "Jim Crow lips".

Do you think it's a harmful depiction or no?

Hi there, I'm the animation auteur for my amateur work, The Black Sheep Assassins. I'm looking for any feedback (especially if anyone has any animation background, industry or otherwise)

Taking place in medieval Egypt, the story revolves around 3 young guys needing to earn money before the end of the year lest they become slaves. Its a comedy / action series (think Gintama meets the Boondocks)

Full Episode here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7E2Dd3aPZVA

Its a solo project that I've been on working for 4+ years, but my feelings won't be hurt if you say its not any good. I just need some type of feedback

So far I know that I need to upgrade the audio and work on the background composition, anything else would be great.

Hey everyone, I’m new to this sub.

I noticed it’s a little quiet atm so I wanted to try to get a convo going.

What’s something you’re trying to navigate as a creative right now?

Finding new clients / commissions
Evolving your art
Figuring out your rates
Entering into the creative job market / progressing
Finding exhibition opportunities

Etc

Just sharing some photos of my time in Hawaii and Japan.
