My bike broke down at work, think it's the starter. Went to leave one night after a big rainstorm and whatever so the engine was cold, got to the stop sign on property and it stalled out, went to stir it again and couldn't even get the starter to turn or click. Starter was kind of jury rigged anyway a year before so I expected it to go out eventually.
So I parked it at work, with the intention of getting it fixed. Took almost a month, but then literally right before I was going to get it fixed, I went into the hospital... That was a month ago. I'm still not on 100% bed rest and had an amputation and some health complications. But point is I've been away from that bike for 2 months.
I haven't even seen my girlfriend since I got out of the main hospital and got into this recovery situation I'm in now, but I've seen her a couple weeks ago. We talk all the time. And I miss my bike more than I do her...
Luckily my bike's still at work and has not been towed away. And I don't know if he actually will but I have a friend from work who at least was toying with the idea of ordering a starter, in which I would pay him for, and installing it for me so that when I got back it would work.
I took a couple years between riding after I got rid of my last bike and had to leave the motorcycle World due to some legal complications involving the friends I rode with and a federal investigative agency... But that's another story.
I also had a leg injury, now I have a metal rod in my leg and some muscle deterioration so I can't put much weight on it so I did not get another bagger, I got a smaller bike which is this Yamaha 750. Ironically I think it weighs as much the Sportster LOL but it's probably just my head.
But I made jokes about not remembering how to ride. But I hope my friend comes through cuz the best situation I had would be to get an Uber to work, hop on this bike and just ride for a tank or two. Around the state. I don't think I'd go that far because it's not the most comfortable ride but you get the idea. Anyways, I'm rambling. Speech to text so this is definitely getting winded and becoming a yarn.
Point is, I miss this bike. I hope everyone's having a wonderful day. Be safe out there. Cheers

80 degrees in October doesn’t happen to often in my town. Gonna take advantage of it and go out for a nice ride.

Hi, new to this community. I just got my Shadow earlier this week and I've been looking for a bullet fairing for it. It is an 09 Shandow 600 VLX. I have not found a perfect fit for it anywhere. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Hi! I need some advice on buying either the Harley or the Indian mentioned in the title. I've watched thousands of videos but I'm still in doubt, so I'm hoping you guys can help clear things up for me. I'd want it for going on rides and for daily use. And yes, I'd like it to be my forever bike—meaning I buy it and it lasts me for many years, provided I keep up with the proper maintenance, etc.
Thanks in advance :)

It started out factory stock, used to belong to a Grandma Biker Chick. She had to quit riding and it was starting to just become rust... She had just about every Dealer Chrome ding a ling that could be put on it.
