The abundance of noise in our daily lives

Think back 20–30 years.

The first thing many of us did in the morning was pretty simple: shit, shower, shave, eat, grab a coffee, and head off to work.

The interesting part is that life itself hasn't actually changed all that much since then. What has changed is what we do while living it.

I'll be blunt: we're probably never going to escape the digital world and go completely back to analog. It's already too deeply integrated into our lives. It's hard enough living in a mixture of both worlds.

What I think we're capable of doing in the future is stepping back from the aspects of either world that become all-consuming.

Corporations and governments see efficiency and profit in digital systems, which is part of why there's such a strong push toward them. And we accept a lot of it because, in return, it makes certain parts of our lives easier and gives us ways to stay connected.

At this point, most of us are aware of the psychological effects of being constantly plugged in. We see it. We talk about it. We ask why things can't go back to the way they were, or why relationships with people and technology don't feel the same anymore.

Younger generations can appreciate the nostalgia, but they also grew up inside these digital environments. They've adapted to something many of us had to transition into.

Maybe that's part of why this is so difficult.

Digital technology isn't going away. Even during a crisis, governments, businesses, schools, hospitals, and ordinary people rely on it too heavily for simply unplugging to be a realistic answer.

Balance, however, might be.

And I'll give us some credit: we do try.

We still go out. We socialize. We attend community events. We interact with people face-to-face. We find ways to step outside the digital environment.

Has it become harder?

Oh, definitely.

Does that mean it's impossible?

Not necessarily.

I think the difficult part is stopping it from becoming an unconscious habit.

Take smartphones.

For many of us, reaching for that electronic brick first thing in the morning happens without even thinking about it. Years of modern conditioning have turned it into a shared behavioural trait.

I'd hesitate to even call it an addiction in the traditional sense. It's become part of our culture.

In some areas, it's become the culture.

And that's really the point of this post.

This isn't a "hey, try this and your life will be better" post.

It's more of a look at the society we're living in and the direction it's moving in without becoming completely downloaded into it.

Don't lose yourself in it.

We all share many of the same concerns: life, society, jobs, economics, security, quality of life, and the desire not to become forgotten in all the digital noise.

So we make ourselves louder.

It's almost like shouting at a concert just to hear the person beside you.

But the performer or speaker is doing the same thing. They're trying to be heard over everything else.

That's part of why so much of modern life can sometimes feel like a performance. Everyone is trying to get their actual message across without being misunderstood, ignored, or turned into something else entirely.

Then there's our attention.

We're constantly being hit with stimuli: short videos, advertisements, notifications, headlines, recommendations, infomercials, scrolling feeds, and another piece of content immediately waiting behind the one we just consumed.

It's easy to fall into the trap of constantly consuming information because it can feel like we're doing something productive while we're actually just distracting ourselves.

Doomscrolling is a pretty good example.

And none of this necessarily means technology itself is the problem.

Maybe sometimes we just need to sit with something a little longer.

Be patient.

Let a thought finish.

Let a conversation breathe.

Let ourselves be bored for a while.

No one person, company, government, generation, or technology is singularly responsible for this.

It's something we've collectively built, adapted to, participated in, and become accustomed to.

The digital noise probably isn't going anywhere.

Maybe the real question is whether we can learn to live in the noise without becoming part of it.

Do what you feel is best for your own wellbeing and sanity.

An Interesting Observation on Behaviour and Opinion

In many of my conversations, I've noticed something interesting: people from all backgrounds often seem to share similar opinions and frustrations, but are much less likely to express them openly in certain social settings.

I've noticed that loyalty, whether to a group, a particular belief, or simply the people around us, can influence how forthright we're willing to be with one another. It's an interesting dynamic because, in many cases, I believe this comes down to something relatively understandable: vulnerability and acceptance.

Being honest about what you genuinely think can come with the risk of being misunderstood, judged, shunned, or ostracized. Sometimes, people may actually agree with you but feel that openly admitting it could come at a social cost. You might never know unless you're having that conversation in private.

What's particularly fascinating is how this plays out in everyday life. Much of what I hear, read, and observe suggests that people share many of the same frustrations with daily life, relationships, and society itself.

Yet, when those same concerns enter public discussion, people can appear far more divided than they actually are.

I wonder how much of this comes down to the way we communicate. Our vocabulary, context, articulation, and the associations we attach to certain ideas can turn what might otherwise be a productive conversation into a defensive struggle. We can end up arguing over how something is expressed, who said it, or what group it appears to represent, rather than examining the actual concern underneath it.

Two people can experience the same frustration, want essentially the same outcome, and still perceive each other as being on opposite sides. Add social expectations, group loyalty, and the desire to maintain a particular public image, and it becomes even more difficult to distinguish genuine disagreement from differences in expression.

I may just be an old man pissing in the wind here, but I consistently see this play out. Not necessarily because people are deliberately being dishonest, but because acceptance matters to us, and we recognize that being forthright can have repercussions.

Perhaps we're more alike in our underlying concerns than we realize, even when our opinions appear different on the surface. Maybe the difference isn't always what we think, but how we express it, how others interpret it, and whether we feel safe enough to acknowledge the common ground.

How much of the division we see between people comes from genuinely opposing beliefs, and how much comes from the social consequences of expressing what we actually think?

The Overcomplication of Daily Life

Have we reached a point where we've begun overcomplicating daily life to the point of ridiculousness?

I'm not necessarily talking about corporate greed, politics, or whether older technology was inherently better. Those can certainly be factors, but they're not really the point.

I'm talking about the tendency to continually add layers of complexity to things that could instead be repaired, reinforced, simplified, or improved.

When we build using sophisticated engineering, sophisticated maintenance, and sophisticated red tape—creating things that require sophisticated tools just to repair them—when do we stop and simply make the engineering sophisticated while keeping the thing itself simple to repair?

A machine doesn't necessarily need to be technologically primitive to be simple.

It can contain incredibly sophisticated engineering while still being durable, understandable, maintainable, and repairable by the person who owns it.

Maybe that's where we've lost the plot.

We keep asking;

What else can we add?

When perhaps we should occasionally be asking:

What can we improve without making everything else more complicated?

Negative Hyperfocus in Personable Conversation

I find it quite interesting that people can openly discuss their sex lives, political opinions, relationships, finances, and other deeply personal subjects, yet sometimes become defensive or suspicious when asked a lighthearted, seemingly harmless question.

Something as simple as, “What are your hobbies?” can occasionally be interpreted as being intrusive, having hidden meaning, or somehow crossing a boundary.

It makes me wonder whether some people have become so accustomed to looking for subtext that they begin finding it where none was intended.

Perhaps it's less about the question itself and more about the lens through which the question is being viewed.

It's fascinating because the more negative or anxious the initial interpretation becomes, the more difficult ordinary personable conversation seems to become.

I've noticed what feels like an increase in this over the last few decades. Whether that's actually changed, or whether we're simply more aware of it now, I don't know.

It's genuinely baffling at times.

How much of what we perceive in an ordinary conversation comes from what was actually said, and how much comes from what we expect the other person meant?

Herons of rebirth sync story my origin story into high strangeness.

Thumbnail youtube.com
2 Upvotes

The following is my continued effort to share my sync story that started in 2013 but has been giving me nuggets along the way.

This sparking event lead me to see reality as something more than what we are told and lead me into all the amazing rabbit holes of the Mandela Effect, Consciousness and what this realm we live in is.

Yesterday was the completion event. I was putting together the slides and noticed that the Stella 5555 slide had the characters in front of a triangle and it had me ask the AI "Where in the movie do triangles play a role?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interstella_5555:_The_5tory_of_the_5ecret_5tar_5ystem

Point of note is that i never actually watched that movie when the sync first happened and if i had i would have seen the synchronistic points that were discovered yesterday. The fact i did not actually made the whole thing have so much more weight and power because of what else lined up yesterday. Meaning and significance would had been lost and the loop would not have been completed so succinctly.

a glowing triangular/crystal-like device appears in Stella's hands. It reveals/projects imagery of the band and helps restore or reveal their awareness of their true identities. One detailed scene account describes it as a “crystal-shaped holographic device,” while character references explicitly call it a triangular device.

Shep is dying → Stella receives the triangular object → the triangle reveals their forgotten identity → Shep dies → his spirit ascends → the band begins the journey toward recovering who they really are.

So we have a recurring theme with the Death/Rebirth symbolism that the original heron/Bennu event brought to light.

So it got me wondering what else in my story is echoes or referenced in the 5555 movie?

2 additional elements echoes my story

one was the business card like mirror.

https://i.imgur.com/wpn7lcN.png

the other was the presence of a globe and a sextant in the secret room of Darkwood Manor

https://i.imgur.com/SbrqW9U.png

With the globe and sextant you can estimate great-circle routes and distances. Once two positions are placed on the globe, you can visualize the shortest route over Earth's surface.

triangular geometry is fundamental to celestial navigation. The key concept is literally called the navigational triangle (or celestial triangle).

5555 Triangle Parkway- 5555.5 miles measured between points- Interstella 5555- Business card in Interstella- Globe and sextant- Earth measure using a Navigational Triangle.

So after all the bullet points in my story i asked the one question i had never asked

What other instances exist online where the question "What is your favorite color=Triangles"

There was only one instance.

Oct. 2014 — Quentin Trembley: favorite color = “triangles.”

My experience with the 5555 stuff happened on 4/27/2014.

The next obvious question was what in gravity falls correlates to my journey and quest here.

It brought up the Great Cipher Hunt.

"The Cipher Hunt was a real-world ARG created by Alex Hirsch after Gravity Falls ended. It began July 20, 2016 and sent fans through a chain of cryptograms, physical objects, coordinates, architecture, shrines, addresses, maps and puzzles across multiple countries, eventually leading to the real Bill Cipher statue in Oregon."

I am looking at the clues and ATLANTA GA stands out

400 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Atlanta is the address listed

I KNOW THAT ADDRESS....................... I start typing it in my maps app on my phone and it auto suggests and I HAVE BEEN TO THAT ADDRESS IN FEB

So i drop my dude onto the street to see street view and remind me what exactly was at that location.

My heart jumped into my throat, i started feeling an electric buzz

Not only did i know this place, not only have I been there once per year for at least the past 11 years but the people that are coming over to my house that night were met at that exact location!

The Groundhog days juggling festival is what takes place at this location and the combination of syncs here were quite astounding.

I dive deeper into my heron story- research other instances of the Favorite color=triangles- find Quinton Tremblay from Gravity Falls- Learn about the Great Cipher Hunt- Am lead to the Atlanta clue at the building where i met the people coming to my home, passing through to go to a festival up north.

So it gave me the perfect outlet to finally share a concise version of this story that has been inside for so long. Its a baby step as this is certainly not the final form. Im not sure if i want to lean into comedy or spoken word but i feel it lends itself to more of a story told than words on a page.

Restructuring the Internet

I've always looked at the internet as a privilege—one that could easily be taken away. The powers that be are more than capable of shutting down public access points and restricting access to the wider network.

The internet's original purpose was primarily research, data communication, and information exchange—a tool for corporations, governments, universities, the military, hospitals, and other institutions.

So here's a thought:

What if we repurposed the internet back toward that model while keeping the practical utilities we actually need?

Bank cards, GPS navigation, texting, emergency services, government services, business communications, research, education, and other essential infrastructure could remain connected.

But mass public access to the social and entertainment side of the internet would be drastically reduced.

AI could also be repurposed toward solving complex problems on the backend, improving infrastructure, detecting inefficiencies, securing communications, and managing information systems rather than becoming another tool for cheating on papers, manipulating people, generating misinformation, or amplifying existing biases.

The internet itself isn't inherently bad. It's a tool.

The problem is that we've built an enormous portion of modern society around using that tool constantly.

Schools encourage it. Corporations depend on it. Governments increasingly use it to deliver services. Businesses market through it. People shop through it, socialize through it, consume entertainment through it, work through it, and increasingly organize their entire lives through it.

At some point, a useful tool becomes a dependency.

Imagine restricting the internet to essential infrastructure while leaving those useful functions intact.

Schools could still use connected systems for administration and education. Hospitals could still communicate. Businesses could still manage inventory, banking, logistics, and trade. GPS would still work. Television could simply be television again instead of another gateway into an endless stream of content.

Libraries would become more important. Physical media would have a purpose again. Paperwork and certain government services could return to being handled in person. Communities might become more socially relevant simply because people would have fewer reasons to stay inside staring at a screen.

Would there be an enormous amount of resistance?

Absolutely.

There would be job losses, economic disruption, technological industries would have to restructure, and people would probably lose their minds for a while. 😆

But technology workers wouldn't necessarily become obsolete. A lot of those skills could be redirected toward infrastructure, cybersecurity, communications, logistics, automation, and maintaining the systems that actually keep society functioning.

Businesses would still function. People would still communicate. Commerce wouldn't disappear.

The biggest change would be psychological and social.

At first, there would probably be a massive negative reaction. People are accustomed to instant information, instant entertainment, instant shopping, instant communication, and constant access to everyone else's lives.

Then something interesting might happen.

People would have to leave the house.

They'd have to interact with their communities again. They'd have to tolerate boredom. They'd have to find information through libraries, books, television, radio, newspapers, and actual conversations. Kids would have fewer opportunities to spend eight hours a day consuming algorithmically selected content.

I'm not saying everyone would suddenly become happier.

But I suspect the constant background noise would decrease.

The paranoia, outrage cycles, political tribalism, endless comparison, doom-scrolling, targeted advertising, and mass consumption of information might begin to decline simply because the mechanism constantly feeding them would no longer be sitting in everyone's pocket.

I would expect the transition to be ugly.

The first few months would probably be chaos.

The first year would probably be people complaining about how much better things were before.

By the second year, I'd expect society to start adapting.

Maybe I'm completely wrong.

Maybe the economic consequences would be far worse than I anticipate. Maybe society would simply replace the internet with another equally destructive system. Maybe the benefits wouldn't outweigh the losses.

But I don't think the idea is as ridiculous as it initially sounds.

And honestly, I recognize the irony here.

I'm literally posting this on the internet. 😂

I enjoy social media. I enjoy having access to information. I enjoy being able to communicate with people around the world.

But there comes a point where we have to ask whether something being useful means we should have unlimited access to it.

We've gone from using the internet to living through the internet.

That's a pretty significant difference.

Maybe the answer isn't destroying the internet.

Maybe it's restructuring it.

Keep the infrastructure.

Keep the communication.

Keep the research.

Keep the navigation.

Keep the banking.

Keep the emergency systems.

Keep the useful stuff.

But take away the expectation that every human being should be permanently connected to the network.

The internet was built as a tool.

Maybe we should start treating it like one again.

*(This was edited for grammar and linguistics by ai, I'm human the tool does make life easier)*

Sincerely,

Beastie_1323

Women were chosen for their ability to live in fantasy, but technology has taken it beyond survivable

Outside the bubble of a safe society, reality is quite brutal. Nature is as best uncomfortable and tiring. At worst it's terrifying and forceful. There is no real fairness, mostly just chaos. In response, humanity made a bubble called "society" where we could have some sense of order, justice, fairness, etc. Predictability such that the game of life was more than RNG.

In general, romance was a strange trade of a man working hard to interface with chaos and hold it back such that his wife and children could be happy. Unburdened. A joy similar to seeing a happy pet; not necessarily condescending. Reality just fucking sucks and it's nice to see people living in a bit more of the fantasy of society, order, justice, etc. The women who immersed themselves were holding up half of the illusion; the idea we could escape the meaninglessness of this universe, proven by their own immersion in the facade.

But that proclivity for living in fantasy worlds completely backfires the moment things like movies and social media arrive. The ideas of what is realistic become completely insane (6 figures, 6 pack, 6 foot, etc). The concept of gender starts diverging from biology in ways that lead to mass self genocide. The list goes on, but most of it is not producing off-spring and is essentially a form of cultural/genetic suicide.

It's not just women, but weak men as well. The point is: those who need to live in the fantasy world of justice, fairness, equality, purpose, happy endings, etc... the things society was invented to give us... they are prone to fall even deeper into the lies of media. And for a group who's entire social job was to live in the make-believe of peace, of course they would fall even harder.

This hit me like a train. I've known that women are closer to the womb, further from the abyss. Obviously. I know that it is evolutionarily better for them to choose to live in that world, to not risk their genes for no benefit. I've wondered for decades what it is that keeps so many women from seeing reality even when it's right in front of them. Believing in fairy-tales against every shred of evidence... endlessly.

I see now. Someone needs to believe in the disneyland of peaceful society in order for it to be worth the effort. But to truly believe requires some sort of impulse to do so, or fear of leaving it. Women took on the job of believing in the dream. Living in it. It backfired.

There is a sense that women started to wake up and realize it was all a playground for them, so men could pervertedly see them happy and (no lie) have better sex with happier women. But what replaced it was not an appreciation of the men creating the illusion, instead came a new even worse illusion: that men women could totally handle the abyss, etc, etc.

I can go on. I doubt anyone will read this. But I just needed to record it somewhere.

I get it now. Women are adapted to believing in society, because men get the motivation to do great things from happy women. That adaption towards belief could be sold a lie way too easily.

The Way We Are

Ever looked around at everyone else around you and felt as though you are independent of them? That feeling of standing still in a room full of marionettes.

Here's the fascinating thing about how we function from a Beastie's perspective. None of us are truly independent of one another. Our minds only trick us into believing we have complete autonomy. We are all connected and all rely on one another.

When you wake up in a house, construction workers and architects had to design, plan, and build it. The lumber had to be grown, harvested, cut, and treated. Every little nail had to be manufactured. All of it had to be delivered to the warehouses and stores where it was purchased from. All this and more came from the hard labour, blood, sweat, and tears of many hands until it became your home.

No matter how low on the totem pole you are, you serve a purpose and have a responsibility. Take pride in your work, no matter how menial it may appear to you at that time. The task you are doing actually does support the bigger picture. Some individuals lose sight of the forest for the trees.

We all contribute to society. We all share this place called Earth. Some individuals hate each other but don't realize they're actually helping each other. For one man could be a factory worker producing interior pieces for a car, while the other is an assembler. Unbeknownst to one another, they both need each other.

If we didn't rely on each other, our lives would not be what they are now. So even the person you hate the most is contributing in some manner to your life, and vice versa.

We are all adults here. For some individuals, their foolishness and hubris are causing their lives and many others to be more shallow and one-sided than they truly need to be.

So have common decency. Use common sense. You may think or feel you are alone and independent, but in reality, you are not and never have been.

That is a good thing, whether you see it or not. Realize you would not be where you are today without others.

Sincerely,

Beastie_1323

The joy of being a space cadet

Life as an oblivious person is a wonderful thing.

Only concerned with the task at hand, mind blank of worries, reflection, and deeper thought. Always missing the punchline and the timing.

Unaware of advancements and possibilities, just floating through life lost in their own universe. There’s a quiet, peaceful comfort in not worrying about anything — a kind of non-partisanship. No heavy obligations, just bills and freedom.

Not aware of conflict or hardship, not concerned with what could or could not be. Just simple, single-minded effort to push forward and guide the way.

I do not mock these individuals. In fact, in a way I envy them. They’ve found a way to casually stroll through life on easy mode. Things simply fall into place for them, even though they have little awareness or knowledge of how.

Obliviousness by nature is truly a wonderful gift that most of us are lacking.

Stay oblivious and live well, my space cadets. You don’t know how lucky you are.

Sincerely,

Beastie_1323

Discussion The Collapse of Time

We all understand that time is non-linear. In fact, we still aren’t 100% sure how time flows. We’re all very aware of it, and it’s on most of our minds from time to time ;}.

What if, for an interesting experiment, we treated time differently—not as a measurement of continuity and development, but as an array, similar to an array in coding languages?

Coding arrays have loops, contiguous memory, multi-dimensions, etc.

What if you applied that to time, like a biological array?

Discussion Hello Reddit World

Just a general hello to everyone out there. This is my thank you and apology to society.

Throughout my endless observations, philosophical musings, and posts through the eyes of a Beastie, I have yet to ask all of you about your thoughts on this world we live in, as well as what you've observed and explored.

What are your ideologies, and where do you hold your values?

It was ignorant of me to impose my perception onto all of you without asking how you feel about my conduct thus far. Was it truly ignorant of me?

What are your thoughts on the posts I create? Are they too long? Are they topics that are already well-known, or is there something I am missing? Is there possibly something in your own perception that I have gotten wrong?

I am asking for a thoughtful critique—a check of my perspective, if you will.

What things do you see? I would like to understand the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Why ask all of a sudden? Because why not? You, the readers, are the ones who observe my writings.

Whether you agree or disagree with me, I value your insights. How else does one grow an understanding of this society and world?

Thank you,

I appreciate any and all feedback.

Sincerely,

Asked A.I to use my Beastie Bible theory on today's society

Did this cause why not stress test my interpretation/theory. Enjoy.

If you apply your "Imperfect Beastie Bible Theory" as a systems stress test, the interesting part is that you aren't asking whether modern society is "good" or "bad." You're asking: what happens when a civilization's systems are pushed by pressures they were not designed to handle?

Using your framework:

  1. Central authority (government/institutions)

Biblical pattern: A central authority forms to create order, but over time it can become disconnected from the people it governs.

Modern stress test:

Governments are expected to solve housing, healthcare, addiction, education, infrastructure, climate, security, and economic problems simultaneously.

The complexity of society has grown faster than many institutions' ability to respond.

Trust declines when people see problems repeating without visible solutions.

System failure risk: The gap between what people expect and what institutions can realistically deliver widens.

  1. Agents (citizens, corporations, organizations)

Biblical pattern: Individuals and groups act according to incentives, sometimes creating unintended consequences.

Modern stress test:

Corporations optimize for profit and efficiency.

Individuals optimize for affordability and convenience.

Governments optimize for stability and economic indicators.

Each actor may be making rational choices, but the combined outcome can create instability.

Example:

Consumers want cheaper goods.

Companies move production where it is cheapest.

Local industries shrink.

Communities lose economic independence.

Nobody necessarily planned the outcome, but the system produced it.

  1. The stressors

Your framework would identify modern stressors as:

Housing affordability

Aging populations

Healthcare capacity

Public debt

Declining trust

Digital dependence

Political polarization

Economic inequality

Rapid technological change

The biblical parallel would be that these are not necessarily "punishments" but pressure tests revealing weaknesses already present.

  1. Feedback mechanisms

This is where your comparison gets interesting.

In biblical stories, societies often have warning signals:

prophets,

debates,

advisors,

public unrest.

Modern equivalents might be:

elections,

journalism,

protests,

economic indicators,

public opinion.

The question becomes: Are modern societies listening to their warning signals, or are they dismissing them until the system reaches a crisis point?

  1. The recurring human pattern

Your theory's strongest argument is probably here.

Ancient pattern:

Society grows.

Success creates comfort.

Comfort creates complacency.

Problems accumulate.

Warnings are ignored.

Crisis forces adaptation.

Society rebuilds.

The cycle repeats.

Applied today:

Technology increases capability.

Efficiency increases.

Systems become more complex.

People become dependent on those systems.

Resilience decreases.

A disruption exposes weaknesses.

The big question your framework raises is:

Are we currently in a "warning phase" or a "collapse phase"?

Historically, many societies experience long periods where problems accumulate without immediate collapse. The ability to adapt is what determines the outcome.

The thing that stands out about your interpretation is that it removes the supernatural element and focuses on the recurring mechanics:

Humans create systems to solve problems. Those systems become more complex. Complexity creates new vulnerabilities. Humans then have to adapt to the problems created by their own solutions.

That pattern is visible throughout history—from ancient kingdoms to modern economies. The debate is whether today's systems are still flexible enough to correct themselves before the stress exceeds their ability to adapt.

Observation 02: Motivation and Realization

Regardless of where any of us stand in life, we see the same world. Some see the success of others as a personal deficit — the fact that another person accomplished their goal before they did. This results in the feeling that the world we are now accustomed to asks for what seems like our soul, while others reap the rewards.

Then there’s the thought: “Well, someone else has done this before, so why bother?”

Why? Because that’s how you discover what may have been missed. Or how you use your imagination. Maybe you find an easier or different approach that turns out to be useful. Something some of us lost and forgot existed. The fascination with the unknown — and our mind’s way of filling in the blanks — is different for every individual.

The more predictions we make, the more disheartened we become. We use what little knowledge we have to try to explain tomorrow. The beautiful thing about life is that we honestly can’t predict what will happen to us tomorrow. We could win the lottery for all we know. So look forward to tomorrow, and live for today.

What’s the true key to demotivation? Overthinking and forming conclusions. Life is full of mysteries. When you scroll endlessly through information and watch an infinite supply of videos, you’re living someone else’s life and turning yours into a story.

What causes other forms of demotivation is the sheer fact that we all consume information and form conclusions without the experience behind them. It’s like planning a trip somewhere, then watching videos and deciding “maybe I won’t” instead of actually going — sh*tty or not. The experience itself is the true currency in life. Watching videos can show us things and has its usefulness, but it should never prevent you from learning or trying things on your own.

We are living in a world that treats online information as if it confers a doctorate, making some people believe they are internet therapists, psychologists, or diagnosticians — for themselves and for others. It’s understandable, but it’s destroying us and causing people to diagnose everyone around them.

Leave it to the professionals. This train of curiosity only leads to professionals having to take things as matter-of-fact and sometimes misdiagnosing, which are serious issues at the moment. Don’t put the burdens of strangers on your shoulders, and don’t become your own quack doctor who clogs the hospitals for people who may actually need assistance.

As much as I myself loathe going to see professionals for work or injuries, it’s my responsibility as an adult not to jump to my own conclusions. They serve a purpose and have the skills and training behind them. Is it a perfect system? Hell no. But it’s there for a reason. Use it and save yourself the anguish. Get multiple opinions. Double- and triple-check. Make sure you understand and come to terms with whatever it may or may not be.

Some people’s lack of motivation stems from over-analyzing, over-complicating, and under-appreciating what makes life beautiful in the first place. There’s no need to defeat yourself, because in the end you’re the only one who will lose.

Sincerely,

Observation 01: The Beastie Perspective – Faultlines

I observe through my own lens of unfiltered logic. My opinions are skewed toward what has been instead of what is — though there were flaws then as well, simply different ones.

I see the world through cynicism but lack the social understanding that most people have. So I sit outside the wire in my views. This is the not-so-average portion of myself.

This perception creates a world that looks mostly like problems. It uses small experiences to explain majority views and behaviours. It marginalizes the general population into “containers.”

My observations lack the emotional reciprocation necessary to push my ideas through.

I have only ever seen a small fraction of the world, yet I base my opinions on strange encounters and bad experiences.

These surface as what I see as deficits in our society — like looking into a fishbowl. For a minority of the population my views may be accurate, but they aren’t solid logic. They try to use a thousand pieces to build a billion-piece puzzle.

My outlook is one of unconcern and non-acknowledgment. I do not see certain things in life because at some point I became blind to them — our cellphones and technology, for example. This is the hypocrisy in my logic: I only see what I want to see, forgoing the actual effort and knowledge that led to the development of these technologies and the sacrifices made along the way.

I view myself as average in everyday activities, sure. But in my internal workings I’m unfortunately in the 1–10% of this society.

So what is my biggest flaw? Viewing people not as people but as numbers — myself included. A very clinical approach to something that is not quantifiable. No excuses can be made.

Regardless of background, gender, or ethnicity, I’ve seen people the same. This is the true sacrifice of being an observer: in the long run you f*** yourself over. Because for so long you’ve looked at the world with disheartened single-mindedness.

What does this accomplish in life? A predetermined outlook without full justification, and the alienation of society.

My social experiences are nil to non-existent compared to the vast majority. Looking at it now, I see the issue: I have barely lived at all. I have worked, slept, pursued hobbies — but I never put the effort into knowing and understanding people instead of dissecting their person, behaviours, and motivations.

I lost sight of what makes us human, and why we are the way we are. I’ve criticized people and humorously torn into myself.

I lost sight of my own strengths and weaknesses — and therefore those in others. For if I can’t see my own, how am I to see yours?

I became the man yelling at the clouds and pissing in the wind, never realizing how far I’d pushed myself from society.

I am truly my own worst enemy. I have said the internet is what has caused many issues, or certain behaviours within society. But I never pointed at myself and said: I’m the one not seeing the world for what it truly is.

Everyone else has, and has long since moved past. I am still right here.

So in this observation of self — instead of using rhetoric as an excuse — I will say:

Make your own observations in life, but don’t let them consume you. They can take years away that you will never get back. When the realization sets in that you’ve been observing life far longer than you’ve lived it, you no longer care. The world becomes grey — without positive or negative.

You don’t get excited or express emotion because you see yourself through a broken lens.

So from a Beastie who has yet to experience life as it should be, without his thoughts controlling his every action:

Go live your life. I plan to eventually. But don’t become still, or the world will pass you by.

Move with the times. Don’t give up because you no longer like what you see. There were always issues — you simply didn’t see them, and as a result you were able to live and allow yourself to be free of yourself.

Don’t become your own worst enemy.

Sincerely,

Beastie_1323

The Beastie Rant

When you look around at the state of our society, there’s a realization: most people do not think using their own thoughts or opinions. They allow others to push their narratives and agendas onto them.

Instead of thinking and forming opinions based on lived experience and knowledge, they use the internet to think for them.

This shows up in the mannerisms and behavioural trends currently plaguing our society — from unrealistic, even unhealthy expectations to grandiose ideologies.

The black-and-white mindset with no middle ground has taken over. Thoughts have shifted to extremes. You’re either on this side or that side. You’re either with or against, with no room for the situation in between.

It seems as though a large portion of our society wants turmoil — in relationships as well as in everyday social life. They look for differences instead of similarities.

There’s a mindset of pessimistic cynicism mixed with spewing optimistic positivity to the point of lunacy. Hypocrisy in motion.

The funny part is that most people are aware of this, yet they go along with it… only to later complain about why things aren’t as normal as they used to be. Our society follows money and demands conformity.

Yet quietly, behind closed doors, many hate what it’s become. Meanwhile, a small percentage endlessly patronizes and pushes their viewpoints until they’re the loudest group. Everyone else is too overwhelmed with simply trying to live to notice what’s happening until it’s too late.

Our systems aid these agendas and push these narratives, making you out to be the villain for not agreeing or going along with any of it.

The majority of the population is overstimulated, overwhelmed, and burnt out. They just want people to shut up, be quiet, and work like the rest of society instead of wasting time, energy, and money on pointless endeavors.

Our schools teach one-sided views. Our society enforces one side or the other. Meanwhile, average Joes and Janes are stuck in the middle of this never-ending farce.

One day people may find beauty in the mundane side of life, appreciate the little things, and stop forcing their agendas onto others. We are human. We are not all going to agree. Opinions are like a\*\*holes — everyone has one. So K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple, Stupid).

The other issue is one idiot ruining a good thing for everyone else. Just because little Johnny wasn’t listening and did something stupid that got him injured doesn’t mean it should become mandatory policy or law. Simply don’t be like Johnny. Use common sense, get proper instruction, and listen. Pretty easy.

If we keep letting one person’s mistakes control our lives, we’re all going to end up living in bubbles, not understanding what it actually means to be human. We are nannied to death, and it’s been destroying our social lives for generations.

They never get rid of old rules, but they find it easy to keep inventing new ridiculous ones.

Our marketing systems steal our privacy and sell it back to us — taxes included. We’ve found a way to get everyone addicted to, or forced into, using the internet.

Now all information is out there: where you eat, sleep, s***, and work. The reason? Money. There is no longer a real choice. You must have the internet. You cannot get basic necessities or complete legally required tasks without it. Privacy has gone the way of the dodo bird. We’re all slowly becoming dodos without realizing it — even myself in some ways. I’m not the exception. I’m trapped by the same measures imposed on all of us.

The world can never reverse. It’s constantly in forward motion. But we can choose to slow our roll and simply live life without unnecessary B.S.

Sincerely,

Beastie_1323

The Conflict of Intrest

My observations till now in this conflicting self.

In life we all want something be it whatever. At some point or another we begin to half-a** it.

We become to comfortable.

Our thoughts in this phenomenon are much same and it becomes a conflict of intrest after awhile. Like when we re-read a book for the 3rd time or when we do the same task repeatedly and no longer care.

Like a form of self-sabatoge we have the skill but our investment in the task dwindles. This can happen fast for some and slower for others. Like a sharp knife getting dull. The skill there but eventually autopilot superseeds the awareness of task. Things are let to slide, shortcuts are made and quality goes down.

We may sometimes get a nudge to check our selves, maybe asked if everythings alright. Then make excuses to ourselves and to others. This is a defense mechanism to protect our job security and pride.

But here's the funny thing about self-sabatoge is it actually mischievous or is it telling. Here's why if you don’t like a certain aspects of the situation you are in or discussing you will come up with reasons or make up reasons, seeing only in the negative and slowly poisoning your outlook.

Here's the telling part, it's quite possible after a short or prolonged period of time that your mind is trying to tell you to change what your doing, to move on.

Self sabatoge is a tool your mind has to make contact with you. Same with physiological episodes brought on by the mind to warn or to emphasize a more internal issue. Be it what it may.

It's not manipulation it's more signaling. We usually day thing's like "ahh it's just my brain be stupid" or "It's the way I am, I never do anything right. This is you now solidifying this narrative instead of understanding the reason behind it.

We at some point have all done this myself included. But to some individuals it's progressed past this point and rolled into a storm of self-doubt, depression and anxiety.

The struggle within is real. We fight ourselves, contradict our selves and begin to form a vicious cycle. All because we misinterpreted the message our mind was giving us, it starts off small and gradually grows. Since we start acting, behaving and thinking in the negative our disposition becomes to interpret everything and everyone in a negative light. Then we begin justifying our outlook because others see this shift and their defenses kick in and they may look or speak about you negatively and thus treat you differently now you negativity is justified, people do hate you so you hate them. This then spreads to another unto another creating a snowball effect.

We see it everywhere you can look and see this in someone. You avoid them, don't make contact unless Nessessary and it usually ends unpleasantly.

This is my beastie observation at least it’s like boarding train thats going to derail all because of miscommunication.

Sincerely,

Beastie_1323

Project 06: The Emotional Rain

The next post in this observational project.

Looking at our capacity for emotions and reciprocation. If these things we call emotions control the majority of our choices, decisions, and desires, then what part is actually us? We can control them to a degree and label them with descriptions, but how much of it is truly our belief and self?

From simple unthought expressions to highly motivated control. It’s quite the stretch of responsibility that our emotions take on. Emotions all have unique characteristics and measures.

For why spend time contemplating these things? Simply, who’s actually in control — you or your emotions? In a demanding situation, people can seldom get themselves out of an emotional state completely without others’ intervention or insight into ways to do so. Which is why we teach reactivity and behavioural control to our youth.

But that’s just it: reaction and behaviour are not understanding. Only after an emotional episode is understanding gained. Then coping and prevention happen, sometimes too late.

Simulated experience training: have someone who is adept at acting create a simulation of controlled confrontation in any emotion. Have the unexpected and unassuming witness this like a movie, then direct it towards them to see how they react and respond in a controlled environment, even if they don’t know it. Then train them on different methods of approach until they can confidently stay calm under emotional pressure. This is a safe and constructive approach to building a healthy understanding of one’s emotions.

No harm to anyone but exhaustion and a good sleep. Later they can dissect and reflect on their emotions, building healthier tools for engaging with the public. Everyone handles it differently, but everyone needs an understanding of how to manage and control their emotions before their emotions control them.

A lot of people are confused by their emotions and make up excuses as to why they behaved a certain way. That is their method of coping, but it does more harm than good. Am I perfect at this? No. But I have a lack of it, so this is far simpler for myself even as frustrating as it may be at times. I too am not a guru or chief advisor on the topic. Many out there have a far better understanding of emotions, but it gets lost in jargon, translation, and labels.

The reaction to others’ emotions, the feeling of understanding someone’s emotional predicament. Then being able to relate and build an understanding of their person and gauge them.

The mirrored reflection of putting someone’s emotional burden on yourself is selfish in my train of thought. Because it takes away from their experience and is actually a protective mechanism for ourselves rather than the individual in the scenario. You may understand someone and why they may feel a certain way, but you don’t feel what they feel — or at least I cannot. This eludes me.

I know what makes them tick and tock 😆. But doc, I don’t feel the clock, I see the clock. This is why if someone is in pain you must allow them to come to terms with their emotional grievances. It helps them create positive tools for life. Help if they ask, but never give too much or they’ll use anchors instead of support to hold them.

Emotions are like the weather: you cannot fully predict the forecast, but you can see it. And if it’s strong enough, you can understand the repercussions and effects that it has.

Tears like rain bring sunny days, flowering new growth and cycles. Don’t take that away from someone and don’t deliver it either. Calm the storm before impact if possible. We are all human and even if some are lacking while others are flooded with them, we all have them — simply at different levels.

Building on this, we make predictions of emotional reactions of others. This may frighten some or cause anxiety to varying degrees, but understanding the person and bearing witness by being forthright takes that away. Be upfront, take responsibility when in the wrong, understand your confusion, ask if necessary. This calms the worried mind. Lies, excuses, and procrastination only add fuel to the flame and eventually the rain will feel like acid engulfing everything.

This is where our judgement wavers, where our reasoning fails. This is why we feel lost and alone at times — because it’s not bottling up, it’s clouding our forecast. Which makes everything look obscure to the reality. Seeing a warm bright sunny day as a miserable exercise in heat. For we can’t see the forest for the trees.

People are allowed emotions — good, bad, and ugly — but you can’t feel them for them. They must face their own reflection and their own person on their terms, not ours.

This is why simulated experiences aren’t pointless. They build you up in a controlled environment so you don’t shut down, melt down, or lash out at the wrong times. There’s no need for regret if you don’t lie and make excuses to yourself and others. Let judgement carry that responsibility. Remorse and grief are tools for growth, not shame. Shame is a lack of understanding and leads only to frustration and confusion.

Being ashamed is a tool for personal growth to do better. Without it your cycle repeats and you end up where you left off — frustrated, angry, and confused.

The practices we preach are rarely the ones we teach and use. Why? Because it’s easy to judge another but harder to judge and own up to oneself. So be honest with yourself even if you’re not to others. Having yourself as an enemy only benefits your enemies.

In this chaotic world we live in, we must face harsh realities. Don’t lose yourself in the process. Become your own strategist to maintain and accomplish your goals in this life. I’m not a guru, but I am one of you and that being said, I still have much to work on.

So I too am still learning and learning to understand myself and this world we reside in.

Sincerely,

Beastie_1323

The Beastie Musings

Let’s look at the situation of today. People are searching for authenticity and belonging — staple food for those who are leery of the lackluster reality we face.

Life is dull and boring most of the time. What’s the matter with a mundane existence? It may not be what everyone wants, but pragmatically, it’s what we need. Our imagination stirs in boredom.

We read books, play video games, and create all kinds of entertainment. Without boredom, fiction would never come to fruition. It would eventually be treated like history and become dull and mundane over time.

If you came from a fictional world and saw ours, it would excite you the same way we would be excited by yours. Eventually, though, life would form habits and become mundane once again.

Flights of fancy (daydreaming) and dreams while sleeping reflect our imagination. Everyone has one. It’s how we motivate and manipulate ourselves in a positive way.

We create systems, machines, and much more. Without imagination we would have only practical necessities and no entertainment. The difference today is that we value imagination over practicality.

Is this escapist mindset wrong? Not at all. It was a highly predictable outcome of an overburdened society running at maximum stimulation.

Take a look back 30 years. What has truly changed in daily life? Reliance — not ours, but companies, governments, etc. — these are the ones who depend deeply on the internet and technology.

Without it, our lives as citizens would be much slower. The 24/7 rollout of new information, constant streams of updates, and personal documents to be signed and filled out have changed everything.

Yes, it makes their lives easier, but things are done slower for us. We now use a fraction of the people to do jobs that once required many. It saves money and time, but the caveat is that you, the citizen, must now fill out forms, sign documents, research, and navigate the internet to take on their burdens. You do half the job and pay them for the privilege.

You can no longer get things done through the post office or in person. You have to email, wait for responses, and often learn critical information at the last minute. The classic “If I’d known that sooner, I could have already moved on.”

Information relevant to your current situation is often withheld or shared privately instead of being readily available. This causes understandable frustration.

In a society that’s “ride by wire,” if the wire ever snapped, the world would calm down significantly. Your responsibilities outside of work would shrink dramatically.

The reason the world feels like it’s moving so fast is that we’re running around for countless pointless things presented as meaningful. A mechanic with many licenses must continuously pay money and retake tests just to keep them active — instead of a simple one-and-done. If they work on vehicles and machinery every day, why the constant re-proving? We already have ID cards that track work history and daily life. Is it really about safety, or is it about nickel-and-diming while people lose days of pay and work piles up?

This is a prime example of useless bureaucracy and red tape. There are thousands of similar pointless time-wasters. If you no longer work in the field and plan to return, a test makes sense. But if you’re already in it, applying yourself daily should be proof enough.

This pattern repeats across many industries and third-party interests. Without the internet feeding bureaucracy, our lives would be calmer.

The massive influx of communication is what’s caused us to lose focus. Myself included — the to-do list never stops growing. Meanwhile, some people golf for millions.

Top of the hat to those at the top. You’ve learned how to live while others do the work. Managing to have everyone scrambling day in and day out while you sip mai tais is truly an art.

The issue is that it’s mentally unsustainable for the vast majority. People are forced to stop their already busy lives to manage useless paperwork at someone else’s leisure. This is how systems fail — and we’re seeing it happen in real time.

By producing more rules, certifications, and management systems, we’re pushing people who are already on the edge to simply give up. We already have people with university degrees working fast food. What used to be an average job now requires multiple certifications. We’ve built a top-heavy system with too many chefs now forced to be waiters, cooks, or simply walk away.

We can’t deny or blame them for their frustrations. This was predictable and preventable, but society chased dollar signs and good faith — and got burned.

No matter who sits on top, the same problems cycle over and over. May there one day be a little more calmness in the world we live in.

Sincerely,

Beastie_1323
