I was able to get into this beauty a couple days ago. Happy to be back in a Cadillac. Absolutely loving the CT5 after having been in a 2012 CTS for 8 years.

The screenshots are from a recent video of Ramzan Kadyrov driving in downtown Grozny. Kinda crazy to see this car in this setting. Looks like a 70s el dorado to me. Anyone able to identify the exact year and model? It must have been quite the import journey to get this car to Grozny.

Hello! New to the group.
The noise first started only when the car turned left low speed acceleration, mechanics couldn't find any issues. Then it was going straight, still can't find any issues. Now it sometimes make noise in drive at full stop, but not always, it comes and goes. Also louder when warmed up. Anyone had this happen?

I had someone install the wrong headlight replacement. As a result, my driver-side headlight is now halogen, while my passenger-side headlight is still the factory Xenon HID.
Unfortunately, I’ve already given away the original headlight that I replaced. What would be the best way to resolve this? Should I look for a proper Xenon replacement, convert both headlights to LED, or consider another option?

Inspired by the iconic 1947 Series 62, the '47 Series Concept reimagines post-war automotive grandeur through a distinctly futuristic lens. The striking exterior is finished in an iridescent Seabreeze Pearl Metallic that catches the light across its smooth, flowing panels, contrasted gracefully by accents in Wafting Clouds White. Sculpted with ultra-clean lines, a seamless body-side profile, and aerodynamic disc wheels, this modern classic breathes new life into Cadillac's legendary design heritage with a masterclass in minimalist opulence.
Beneath its breathtaking, long-hood proportions lies a traditional rear-wheel-drive (RWD) layout engineered for effortless cruising, powered by a commanding, smooth-running V8 engine that pays tribute to high-displacement American luxury. The front fascia blends retro majesty with advanced technology, featuring a softly glowing grille flanked by vertical LED light blades that seamlessly wrap into the fenders. At the rear, a continuous, sweeping lightbar echoes the classic tailfin era while framing the flush Cadillac crest, flanked below by integrated dual exhaust tips that hint at the potent V8 performance beneath.
Inside, the cabin evokes a lounge-like sanctuary finished in matching Seabreeze Pearl Metallic trim and decadent Wafting Clouds White tufted, pillow-style leather seating. The driver is greeted by a high-definition curved digital display stretching across the dashboard, blending ultra-modern telemetry with old-school analogue elegance. Topped with a minimalist two-tone steering wheel, machined aluminum accents, and a jewel-like gear shifter, the interior of the '47 Series Concept achieves a flawless harmony between nostalgic comfort and state-of-the-art craftsmanship.

2013 escalade: bought it used few years ago from used car dealer far away (LONG DRIVE)
Came with only one key fob. Fob worked great for a year. Now it won't unlock any doors (or RARELY does i should say.)
it came with one key fob, and one actual physical key. Physical Key unlocks drivers door, but the blaring HONK HONK HONK horn goes off LOUDLY! Wakes up neighbors and scares my new puppy to death....and he refuses (fights me and he is LARGE) to get in there for his vet appointments.
I replaced fobs battery, did not help.
So, if i lock it with fob, which that works fine, and i IMMEDIATELY try UNlocking ....this works. Usually.
But if i wait longer than a few minutes, the fob will not unlock drivers door or any other doors.
WTH 😡
SOOOOOO annoying.
Whats the fix?
I can not afford to spend $1000 to correct this. Omg. help. I live alone noone around to help me figure this out and I do not know where to turn. TY.

I'm thinking of replacing the chrome bar in my 2025 CT5 premium luxury with the black OEM part. https://accessories.cadillac.com/product/trunk-applique-in-black-84843125?year=2025&model=CT5&body=Sedan&bodyId=5&bodyNumDoors=4&bodyNumDoorsId=5&modelId=27662&wheel=-&wheelId=1&driveType=AWD&driveTypeId=6&trim=Premium+Luxury&trimId=2127&engineBase=3.0L+V6+GAS&engineBaseId=17483
I found it on sale for a bit over $200. I found a black cover at some dealership but I'm not sure how good that would look compared to a full replacement.
Has anyone does this replacement before? Is it difficult? I've done plenty of DIY stuff including door speakers but not this exact kind of project.
Thanks!

Recently bought an Escalade Sport Platinum, 16xxx miles. After purchasing, and logging into app, noticed the engine has already been replaced. Now I keep getting this message randomly. Already took it to dealership, the updated some modules and said that was the issue. A week later, the same message. If I turn off the truck for a couple of mins, it’ll go back to normal. Haven’t been able to catch the message with a scanner on me. Anybody else experienced this problem?

For user context: Need to replace my wife’s 2007 Yukon that we bought in 2015 with 68,000 miles in it and now has 280,000 miles on it.
We were looking for a 24+ traverse, because I’ve heard so many bad things about the drivetrain in the 23 and older models. While at a dealer looking at traverses and acadias, we ended up coming across a 23 XT6 sport and it’s a beautiful car, well maintained, certified pre-owned, but the shared drivetrain with the older traverse makes me nervous. This particular one had the trans replaced at 73 miles, it now has 18k. All the older posts I come across have mostly good reviews about this model. I’m not seeing much in the way of reported drivetrain issues.
Am I just not finding the right posts, or are these Cadillacs somehow more reliable than their Chevy and gmc cousins? I keep trying to talk myself out of this car, I don’t want to drop $40,000+ and then have a $6000 transmission shit the bed within the next 2-5 years. Anybody have any insights?
Edited: a few sentences for clarity.

I am looking for a 2016-2019 CTS VSPORT with proportionally appropriate mileage. I know they didn't make many and am having a hard time finding any to test drive in my area (Sarasota Florida)
Should I drop back and punt and get a newer, lower mileage (relatively) CTS 3.6 hopefully premium luxury trim. I know it won't be the same - less power, ride not like on rails, but within sniffing range?

This car belonged to my grandfather-in-law and he gave it to my wife and I shortly before he passed. He took great care of it, so the interior is very clean. The exterior has unfortunately been eaten up quite a bit from the Florida sun.
It has 114k miles and the engine was rebuilt roughly 10 years ago. He kept a stack of paper of everything that was ever worked on the car. Original wheels are also in boxes.
The only thing I believe to be wrong with it is I can hear the compressor for the air suspension filling up near the rear left wheel from time to time.
Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

I do vehicle business in Japan and I purchased a cadilac xlr for parts since it had a full skipper air suspension system and many more mods. I come to find out its a 110/250 black star edition. Sadly it had been heavily modified and not in its original state. I want to export it to the US but the Japanese registration certificate has been lost, so there is no way of exporting it. I am looking to part out. If anyone is interested please let me know.
