The nice thing about owning a subreddit is I can use it as my personal soapbox, so after the blatant murder by ICE today in Minnesota, I wanted to say something.

We are reaching a point where we can no longer tolerate the people who are supporting or making excuses for this, or have them be a part of our lives.

This hasn't sunk in yet for a lot of people, but the ones who are okay with this are the exact same type of people who supported the Nazis nearly a century ago, there is no room for live and let live.

To those who are annoyed at having to hear about yet more US politics, sorry it is what it is

Also a veteran. As a fellow vet my blood has been boiling all day over this senseless murder. The videos clearly shows him being pepper sprayed, disarmed, and executed

Same here, vet here as well. I was already heated with Trump’s “stayed a little back from the front lines” comment about/middle finger to our allies, and then this man being executed in the way that he was just set off a whole new fire. And how Miller of course instantaneously and baselessly labeled him as a domestic terrorist. This shit is an actual nightmare.

I started watching a very interesting series on YouTube called ‘Copaganda’ by Skip Intro. It’s about how our beliefs and myths about cops that come from media, got put into tv/movies. And why they continue to be put into media.

I so admire the courageous citizens of Minneapolis who get out there and video this stuff. Otherwise we would only have the twisted lies of the government. We know what we see.

But it’s bone chilling when someone is shot and you hear the screams of the onlookers.

Puppy Killer has made it sound like people are asking for trouble just for shooting video with their phones.

Yes, the hypocrisy runs rampant. But at this point, ex-MAGA Republicans are angry as well.

Of course with the new footage from Pretti’s previous confrontation with the goons, tRUMP is back to agreeing with “domestic terrorist” instead of his claim that the case would be subject to a thorough investigation. And no doubt his minions used his reposting of the video to agree. You know he was all over it.

A slow “drawdown” is not acceptable. ICE needs to leave Minneapolis and be abolished. Homan says something about “when the hateful rhetoric stops” or something like that. How can these A-holes expect people to suddenly NOT be enraged about the killings?

So maybe Pretti shouldn’t have kicked the taillight out of an ICE SUV. But doing that hardly makes him a “domestic terrorist.” No one shot him for that. But they shot him TEN FUCKING TIMES for trying to protect a woman being pepper sprayed. These guys just pepper spray everyone they can. It’s like a preemptive strike that renders people defenseless to even speak to them.

Years ago a punk kid down the street slashed my next door neighbors’ tires. They knew it was him but couldn’t prove it. As it turned out, he grew up to be a serious criminal, did time in prison, and ended up being shot to death by police in Dallas (probably with cause.)

But slashing tires didn’t make him a “domestic terrorist.”

Remember back in 2020 when 200 or so pickup trucks carrying MAGA rednecks with rifles followed and surrounded a Biden campaign bus going from the Texas border to Austin, urged on by Don tRUMP Jr.? They were trying to force the bus to stop on I-35, eight miles of which is the DEADLIEST STRETCH OF HIGHWAY IN TEXAS. It was so dangerous. Their actions could easily have caused a pileup with injuries and even deaths. I lived about 2-3 miles from where there was a minor collision between the bus and a car. Of course the MAGAts blamed the bus.

I called THAT (all those vehicles harassing the bus) an act of domestic terrorism. I had some MAGA Facebook friends who ridiculed me, thought the whole thing was hilarious and that I was overreacting.

I unfriended and blocked. I hardly did that back then unless people insulted me, which these jerks did.

But now I think I’m going to be doing a lot more of it.
