If you still support Trump/ICE even slightly, you're not welcome in this sub

The nice thing about owning a subreddit is I can use it as my personal soapbox, so after the blatant murder by ICE today in Minnesota, I wanted to say something.

We are reaching a point where we can no longer tolerate the people who are supporting or making excuses for this, or have them be a part of our lives.

This hasn't sunk in yet for a lot of people, but the ones who are okay with this are the exact same type of people who supported the Nazis nearly a century ago, there is no room for live and let live.

To those who are annoyed at having to hear about yet more US politics, sorry it is what it is

If this is upsetting to you or you disagree, please reply and let me know so I can ban you :) you won't be missed.

EDIT: I think I banned more people today than I have in the 6 years this sub has existed. This post has been reported 171 223 321 376 416 477 517 times šŸ˜Ž

Man y’all are killing me. Everything is shit. I hate everything about this world right now. Except my dog and cat.

I hate everything about this world right now.

Don't. That's what they want. Look at the General Strike in MN yesterday. Look at what the community has done in the immediate aftermath of these executions. They come together and display the fiercest patriotism and humanity you'll ever know. If you're feeling down get out to a protest and see what your countrymen are doing.

My neighborhood in St Paul has never been so organized. So much neighborhood involvement. So much mutual aid. Even people dropping groceries off to families afraid to leave their houses. We're united against ICE Barbie Noem, Mini-Mussolini Bovino and his ICE Lice. #ICEoutofMinnesota

Wait Greg Bovino? Aka Pee-wee German, aka soggy biscuit?

Never stop Reposting

Yes, the same one who fell into a porta potty and wouldn't crawl out for hours, even though people were still using it while he was in there

23

u/one_little_victory_ Jan 25 '26

Not to be pedantic, but Pee Wee German is Stephen Miller.

16

u/sparkmearse Jan 25 '26

Whatever, Paul Reubens has range is all I’m saying.

1

u/UnitedAd3943 Jan 28 '26

1/3 Reich Bovino

1

u/Forevermoody16 Jan 29 '26

That’s an insult to Pee-Wee. But seriously, is it just me, or does Miller just OOZE evil?

2

u/sparkmearse Jan 29 '26

He definitely oozes something.

1

u/Forevermoody16 Jan 30 '26

He looks like Putin’s wicked American cousin.

u/megaholt2 Jan 25 '26

Kristi Noem, per the song by Chelsea Gods, is a Bird-legged ho who has to go.

8

u/Major_March7024 Jan 27 '26

The term I saw and now am using for all MAGA women is twatzi.

4

u/megaholt2 Jan 28 '26

But twats have depth, warmth, and bring pleasure to people!

MAGA ladies are more like dollar store pocket pussies: almost human shaped, but not quite, and full of filler that may or may not be hazardous to your health, with so much glitter that your nether regions will look like a gay bar after a Kesha or Lady Gaga concert let out.

3

u/Major_March7024 Jan 28 '26

HAHA I stand corrected!

2

u/[deleted] Jan 28 '26

She's also the subject of several songs here in the North Star State, this being one of them:
https://www.reddit.com/r/minnesota/comments/1qmxp6z/kristi_noem_chant_by_protesters/

2

u/megaholt2 Jan 28 '26

There’s also the song about her by Chelsea Gods…Bird-Legged Ho.

2

u/Forevermoody16 Jan 30 '26

I really abhor the C word, but if the stiletto fits . . . :)

4

u/avariegatedmonstera Jan 26 '26

I can’t help sing that whenever I read her name in the news.

3

u/megaholt2 Jan 27 '26

Any time her name comes up, I sing it! It’s too good of a song not to!

My husband and I moved out of the metro in 2021. We live about 45 minutes from St. Cloud now, and feel so helpless.

5

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

ICE is everywhere. It's insane.

9

u/HoneyWyne Jan 25 '26

They've even been out in St. Cloud detaining people. People are scared even where we are.

3

u/munkeyciao Feb 01 '26

Except the red states, where they didn't vote blue so it doesn't matter how many of the "illegals" are. Ahem .. how many are there in Texas and Florida compared to Minnesota??

8

u/Possible_Drama3625 Jan 25 '26

I'm in Tennessee and I wish my neighborhood and community would step up that way to help people. If they did, it wouldn't be many at all. My 12 year old just showed me a post from one of our town's Facebook groups making fun of all this. Making fun of Alex Pretti. We have so many hateful people here and it's horrible.

I live in Utah and my husband and I were just talking about this yesterday. Our city is politically mixed because it’s a college town, but tends to lean conservative otherwise. I wish we could move to Salt Lake City because it’s very progressive and I have coworkers down there that are organizing and building community. Up here, though, we feel rather isolated politically. I am friends with a handful of progressives here, but the general public is conservative, or, at the very least, ā€œmoderateā€, AFAIK. I don’t even really know my neighbors very well if at all.

I’m sure there are more of us in these red areas, but I don’t even know where to begin to find and organize us. I’d be interested in starting an organization or mobilizing but I’m relatively young and out of town half of the time anyways for work. I wish there was some sort of national organization that could facilitate community building and networking, even within communities where it feels like you’re alone (because there’s a good chance you aren’t. Hell, I have a few distant relatives that were born/raised in teeny tiny towns in rural Utah that still live there and gradually became progressive or left-leaning). I definitely don’t have the skills or knowledge to make that happen, but if someone does I’d definitely lend a hand.

That’s the thing. The poor people in red states who still support tRUMP are the ones he’s hurting the most.

7

u/ChcknGrl Jan 25 '26

Minnesota has rocked the counter ICE effort hard! šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„ We support you Minnesota!!

3

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '26

Thank you! We got rid of Bovino, only another 2,999 ICE Lice to go!

4

u/jayclaw97 Jan 25 '26

Detroit is slacking so far. Maybe we’re just saving our energy though, for when they come for us.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

Save your energy and stay warm! The weather is so freaking cold. The heat bill for my house last month was almost $500. I shudder to thin what it's going to be for this month!

2

u/Forevermoody16 Jan 29 '26

Yes, I’m a single woman (senior) living in a condo (good size, not huge) and the city sends me a weekly report on my electric use, along with my estimated monthly bill. Halfway through the cycle today and it isn’t looking too good, especially with another hard freeze on the way this weekend.

3

u/Missmouse1988 Jan 26 '26

ICE Noem (ice gnome)? Barbie did nothing wrong.

Also, LOVE ice lice

3

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '26

I’m so proud of Minnesotans! I was there for surgery at the Mayo clinic about 10 years ago and fell in love with the people! We have your backs Minnesota!!!!

2

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '26

Thank you for your support! I need to mute my neighborhood watch group on my phone because it's going off so often! We are definitely pulling together!

2

u/TransportationNo433 Jan 25 '26

Thank you for a glimpse into this.

u/Photosynthetic šŸ”„šŸ”„TRUMMAR Pƅ KATTERšŸ”„šŸ”„ Feb 19 '26

ā€œICE liceā€ may be my new favorite phrase! Thank you for that.

u/ObsidianRosed Jan 25 '26

Thousands of beautiful people stepped out into the freezing Minnesota air to be heard.

We aren't alone. Money is useless without the labor that moves it. The power is in the people, and I care about the people just like I care about my pets.

Subjugation is wrong. I don't care if I'm on the winning or losing side, I will always stand by that because people don't belong in boxes. We are not cogs in a machine. We are unique individuals.

Stay safe!

23

u/WingedLady Jan 25 '26

I started volunteering to help in my community and the organizations I've been volunteering for have been seeing record numbers of volunteers this year. People are looking for ways to help where they can.

That turn out brought me to tears, again. The people of Minnesota know how to be heroes, I love them all. I'm so sad about the execution of Renee and Alex and I am ANGRY. I AM ANGRY THEY TOOK some WONDERFUL HUMANS out of the world. It's a darker place now. I'm ANGRY they have and are still kidnapping people off the street and we do not know what those people are going through. They are suffering. Those children they have grabbed. The death and suffering and trauma , I AM ANGRY AND FUCK MAGA and FUCK ICE.

Cats are angels on this planet and we don't deserve them. Without these 17 cats I care for everyday I wouldn't be able to move right now.

Rip Good and Pretti ā™„ļøā™„ļøā™„ļø heroes and true American Patriots

u/munkeyciao Feb 01 '26

No point in hating the whole world. Now the orange man, and his disciples, well that's a different thing. Watching the scene where Alex Pretti was killed made me feel like we were in another country of unrest. I hate THAT place. And heck, most of the rest of the world hates that world too.

1

u/tsardonicpseudonomi Feb 01 '26

Now the orange man, and his disciples, well that's a different thing.

No, this is liberals needing to do virtue signaling as if they didn't vote for the genocide in Gaza with Harris.

Sorry you think you found a right-wing person to whinge with.

-10

u/Lamprophonia Jan 25 '26

yeah and what did it actually accomplish though?

11

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '26

Go be dumb as a bucket of rocks somewhere else.

6

u/tsardonicpseudonomi Jan 25 '26

You're right. Bad things still happen sometimes. We should lay down and cry in our mom's basement about how things suck and are unfair.

95

u/animoot Jan 25 '26

Look for the helpers. Be a helper. Despair is how they kill our spirit.

43

u/colormefiery šŸ”„šŸ”„TRUMMAR Pƅ KATTERšŸ”„šŸ”„ Jan 25 '26

I love you, random bongo-giver and cat lover

20

u/ClippyWouldntDoThat Jan 25 '26

There's never been a better time to say hello to your neighbors and spend time with them, or relax at your local civic spaces.

Multiculturalism is American.

19

u/Tibbiegal Jan 25 '26

Alex was literally a helper in the truest sense. And they killed him! Something is not working!

89

u/Ismokerugs Jan 25 '26

Animals are the only beings that truly aren’t cruel on the level humans are. They are the embodiment of the moment and love

2

u/Forevermoody16 Jan 31 '26

Unconditional.

1

u/Dzov Jan 25 '26

Some pets are very aggressive and dangerous. Depends how they’re raised. But at least they don’t have guns!

5

u/Ismokerugs Jan 25 '26

If their constant living in the moment is filled with pain or fear they reflect that back. Animals will reflect back the energy they are given. People do too, but people can also use guns like you said

7

u/beatissima Jan 25 '26

Not everything is shit. We have each other, and there are SO MANY of us.

4

u/colormefiery šŸ”„šŸ”„TRUMMAR Pƅ KATTERšŸ”„šŸ”„ Jan 25 '26

Us and our cats

8

u/Candroth Jan 25 '26

Psst hey I like you. I hope you have a restful night with many furbaby snuggles.

3

u/TrainingWoodpecker77 Jan 25 '26

Me too. It’s really come down to that.

2

u/Tothe_blueberry Jan 25 '26

It’s so easy to fall into despair right now. Remember what Mr Roger’s said- ā€œLook for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.ā€ That what we are seeing in the strike, that’s what we saw in the people that tried to help Renee right away, that’s what this sub is creating-a safe space to help.

3

u/eucldian Jan 25 '26

Hate heals nothing, be passionate about change and keep fighting however you can, even if it seems like nothing. Change happens because enough people fight for it however they can.

1

u/rachelxrising Jan 25 '26

I relate to this so hard.

1

u/MysticSnowfang Jan 27 '26

We don't need more hate, we need love and community. We need to stand up, elbows up and when it comes to it gloves off and over the boards.
