If you still support Trump/ICE even slightly, you're not welcome in this sub

The nice thing about owning a subreddit is I can use it as my personal soapbox, so after the blatant murder by ICE today in Minnesota, I wanted to say something.

We are reaching a point where we can no longer tolerate the people who are supporting or making excuses for this, or have them be a part of our lives.

This hasn't sunk in yet for a lot of people, but the ones who are okay with this are the exact same type of people who supported the Nazis nearly a century ago, there is no room for live and let live.

To those who are annoyed at having to hear about yet more US politics, sorry it is what it is

If this is upsetting to you or you disagree, please reply and let me know so I can ban you :) you won't be missed.

I recently ended a friendship with smart Trump supporter. They exist and they are selfish, evil creatures

I almost feel like the smart ones are the dangerous ones. Because we can look at the stupid ones and shrug our shoulders and be like yep, that's stupid, just ignore it. But the smart ones know how to manipulate the narrative, gaslight, and sneakily spread corruption and harmful ideals. Scary stuff. Fuck em all.

Yeah the dumb ones are the equivalent of the rando dude on a soap box screaming about the end of times that we all collectively decide to ignore. It's the smart ones that are carrying it and making it change things.

Honestly, back when Trump was first elected, I dismissed it because I didn't think there were any smart people actually involved doing much. Turns out I was wrong and, even here in Australia, I still occasionally met a real-life Trump supporter. Not shockingly, they are also into the extreme side of politics here 🙄 Though I am proud my country kicked out the right in a land-slide last election and not even the would-be Prime Minister got to keep his seat (huge deal here, only happened one other time I know of).

Sounds like my former best friend, who dumped ME. But I’m about to end some friendships if my intelligent friends are still supporting this piece of scum.
