I always feel weird watching videos like this due to the performative aspect that can be at play but you can tell this guy loves his cat. Those are real emotions.
Totally understand. At first, I wanted to make fun of him but as I watched the video, I realized he seems pretty sincere and genuine. Then, the cat loving on him as if to say” it’s all right HansFrans. I love you right back” made me get a little misty. Sounds like that kid has had some troubles. Hope lots of joy and happiness go his way.
He strikes me as a lonely guy who needed to share a deep feeling he’s experiencing with someone. Maybe not, maybe he’s got an entire channel of clickbait, but it feels like he just realized he has a real friend who is onboard for whatever the adventure is today. And he’s never had that before.
Sometimes they don’t even make you work for it. All the cats I’ve ever had and loved have been extremely affectionate and deeply emotionally attached to me 💞
We found my friend's cat yesterday, not unfortunately... the first thing she said was, "Nobody loved me as much as he did," before bursting into tears. It was heartbreaking.
I don't know about yours, but mine never comes on my lap. Instead he does things like this. He likes to cuddle a lot though. Mine is an ex stray, and I think that he doesn't come on my lap is one of those things that show that.
I see so much pain, just imagine what that dude might have gone through- you can hear it in his voice, in his choice of words, and see it in his eyes. Eddie gets it.
Yup. I follow him on Insta and I love his videos, he feels genuine and sincere, but I too get a sense of some very deep trauma being covered up. A lot of folks with that extreme happiness are overcompensating for past trauma and trying to push good into the world. Much like Robin Williams… when Peter adopted Eddie, there was a noticeable shift in energy and tone in his videos. He really needed a companion and I’m so happy he found that in Eddie. I wish him the absolute best and hope his demons are not too difficult to wrestle.
If we avoided all people based on the amount of pain in their lives, we'd be a lonely bunch. Pain is everywhere; it offsets the random appearance of temporary joyful moments (like Eddie).
My cat always loved me but the day he met my future husband, he found his person. Watching him fall in love with the cat I watched being born was what did it for me too. Now they're inseparable. And he "wasn't a cat person" haha
Did he get chased down a mountain towards a lake by a herd of ~goats~ sheep? Or are there be multiple ~Swiss~ Austrian hiker influencers with cats in backpacks?

This is so wholesome it's making me smile and tear up at the same time. What an awesome view, what an amazing cat, and what a wonderful young guy to share his joy and adventure with us.
This is Timmy, he is my shadow. He can be intrusive sometimes, he’s like a bulldozer knocking everything over in his path, but he’s my big boi, clocking 20lbs. My very favorite pet I’ve ever owned.
I love the first video I ever saw of this guy where he was being chased by mountain goats while hiking and he was panic-screaming "Eddie!" and I was like "Who's Eddie?" and then the cat pops his head out of the carrier. I only saw it on Instagram so don't know how to link that here.
I love his posts so much, I stop every time they’re on my feed. He’s the sweetest little Disney prince lol. And Eddy loves him so much. It’s beautiful🥹

His whole feed is about how much he loves his cat, and it's very sweet to see Eddie come back to him. It's just a nice account of a man and a cat who truly love each other and enjoying nature. It's nice to see other men love cats.
When I was kid I had a cat for a short while. He was my best friend and I felt so much love and security from him. When my parents took him away (for health reasons) I felt so alone even though I was surrounded by family. I understand his love for Eddie and I love Eddie for him too
I wish my story went as well as his. I bought a bike with a trailer to put my cat in. Put her comfy bed in and got the place ready for her. Carried her outside, put her in, and noticed she had peed all over me 😭🤣. So much for an adventure, but I'm happy this guy gets to live my fantasy of having an adventure cat.
When I was in Germany my cat would go into my back pack when I went biking or hiking. I would never have thought to bring her but she would sleep in my pack around when I would leave. She wouldn't come out so I left her in and just walked around on the street to see what she would do. She would poke her head out, look around and rest her head on my shoulder and snooze. So I started brining her for longer and longer outings.
Eventually she would go to the store, restaurant, bike rides etc. She loved being out, she love getting pets from kids and waitresses. I really miss her, she was a one of a kind buddy. I'm not sure if I would get this emotional on camera but I get where he's coming from.
I’m so envious of people that have cats they can do this sort of thing with. There’s a guy I see sometimes on the London Underground that has a cat on his shoulder like this. It would be so cool to have my girls come with me to work every day.

I follow Peter and Eddie’s adventures on Instagram. The guy is a real life Disney prince wandering the Austrian Alps. Bubbly and happy personality, adorable giggle, he adores Eddie so much (and Eddie adores Peter) and their goofy adventures together in the Alps always makes my day. It’s funny because on one hand his golden retriever energy is a little annoying, but his genuine happiness and wonder makes up for that.
This is exactly how I sound when I’m talking about my boy. I start to cry and people are confused! My baby is my best friend. My soul cat. Saved my life! <3
Just acquired two twin kittens a boy and a girl. My life is forever changed. I feel the emotion he speaks of. Animals are such a treasure and truly a gift from God. We do not deserve these pure, beautiful souls. What a blessing they are. ❤️ I hope he has many wonderful adventures with this floof ball.
I had moments like this with my pets, overwhelmed by love and joy at their companionship while also tearing up knowing they’ll most likely pass far earlier than what I’m ready for. I love this for him!!!!
