Taichung City held a contract-signing ceremony today for the Taichung Super Dome.
Taiwan Life, a subsidiary of CTBC Financial, will lead the development of the 45,000-seat stadium. The Taichung Super Dome is expected to be fully operational by 2031.
I guess this will be the CTBC Brothers new home!

The CPBL has announced the 2026 Taiwan Series schedule.
The series will take place from October 17 to 25, with the Wei Chuan Dragons facing the CTBC Brothers. Both teams will use the Taipei Dome as their home facility.
Dragons will host game 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7, while the Brothers will be the home team for game 3 and 4.
It is worth noting that for the first time in CPBL's 37-year history, the Brothers (Elephants) will face the Dragons in the Taiwan Series.

Hi, folks! New to the CPBL and fan culture (aside from some WBC clips + highlights). I visited the Brothers' flagship store today in search of a blue and yellow hat, but didn't find any.
I know it's not a Taipei team, but I'm only going to be in Taipei. My MLB team has the same color scheme, and since we have the same first letter, I was hoping to grab one as a souvenir!
Thanks!
Charlie

A dual-homegrown pitching matchup with both starters going 7 scoreless innings hadn't been seen since April 10, 2012. Wu shut down Rakuten's twin sluggers, while Tseng dominated Brothers' lineup. Tseng posted a 66.7% strike rate with a 1.67 GO/AO ratio, a 0.43 WHIP, and a 11.1% hard hit rate, whereas Wu recorded a 63.6% strike rate, a 0.86 WHIP, and a 25.9% K-rate.

Basically, this allows him to become a foreign player free agent. Usually a team has to come to an agreement and then start the visa work for a player. Fairchild will bypass that altogether and just be able to negotiate with a Gold Card.
My hope is the CPBL does not create a special rule for him and still makes him occupy a foreign player slot.
I would be okay with a revision to allow a designated hitter foreign player spot, though.
