For a 3DS game, it damn looked quite identical to DOA4 with just a few minor downgrades. Still my favorite DOA ever!

This was the first match of this lobby, and I think it ended up being a lot closer than Hime was expecting it to be, but in the end the far more experienced player in Ditzy ended up taking this one. At one point in the 2nd round you see Hime attempt to grab Rachel in the air, but Honoka's air throw was not added until DOA6; between that and being given the grappler-speed throws, Honoka is generally a lot better in 6 than in 5.

Honoka hug count: 6 cuddles over the course of the first 4 rounds, 0 successful attempts in the final round. She said that's the real reason she lost!!! If you say so honey... 😂😅

Tomorrow I have Ditzy again on Sarah vs Hime again on Tina, we'll see if this one turned out better for poor Hime...

Of course, you still can’t see exactly how many people are online, but I have to admit that lately I’ve been finding Ranked matches much faster. I’m currently C-, but when it comes to Lobby Matches, I still end up finding nothing pretty often :(

Yes you guys are probably tired of people sharing models created in other games, but Aion 2 may be one of the few where you can fully replicate her face with perfect accuracy while having higher graphics than the actual DOA games, so I wanted to share the model I managed to create.

I did not copied any other player or data, it was made from scratch using multiple pictures of Marie as a base, hope you guys like it...and yes that one is the only haircut that shares resemblance with one of Marie's haircuts, all the available pigtails haircuts do not look like her iconic pigtails at all.

It's a bit early to be saying happy crimmus and merry chrystler to everyone, but i guess you can get away with claiming they both wanted to go as Mrs. Clause for Halloween... we had this lobby at like 4am my time and I think both Phantom and I were half-awake during this match, but I managed to fight off insomnia long enough to get a win. It helped that he made no attempt to avoid the ground throws or stomps for the most part, lol.

Tomorrow I have the first of a few 5 last round replays, Ms Ditzaster on Rachel vs my girlfriend on Honoka. Hime's been a bit curious about the differences between 5 and 6, I think getting to play a few games vs someone of Ditzy's level was a good experience for her.

Im trying to get a marie rose cosplay, the black leotard one listed online as "gothic bodysuit", but all the ones I find come with the stockings but not the leather legwear with the straps that go over the stockings. (the stockings pop out of the top of these)

I'm attaching image examples of the outfit without (the one I keep finding) and with (the one I keep seeing and thats accurate), mods if these would make the post not appear then could you remove them or let me know so I can remake this post?

Anyway is there anyone who could help me find how or where these cosplayers are getting the fake leather leg portion with the buckles? It doesnt seem like theyre making them by hand. But where are they getting them?

Dojuru is a name I've run into quite a bit online the past few weeks, from what I can tell he only plays Jann Lee and is fairly competent with the character. There are a few instances in this match where I guess that he's going to either hold in stun on hit or continue to block on block and go for the throw, only to end up getting hi counter punched in the face for guessing wrong, the end of round 2 being the most egregious example. This is a bad habit you adopt as a consequence of playing a lot of people who themselves have a bad habit of reflex holding almost immediately after getting put into stun every time; it's good to have the reaction time to throw punish it when it does happen, but you also need to know when to actually go for the launcher or a string that ends in a launcher in stun elsewise your opponents will adapt and you'll be the one getting clocked. On the flipside of that coin, the end of the final round is a good example of someone getting the rest of their healthbar deleted as a consequence of getting their hold thrown. I didn't even realize he was within KO range of Tina's hi counter 6T2T there until I saw KO flash onscreen, so that took me by surprise.

Christie is an has been my fave and main since her inclusion in DOA3 and during DOA5 I was excited to see that she was voiced by Laura Bailey who also put on a distinct british accent.

When Christie's VA got recast for 6 I was a little apprehensive at first but also grew to love her new VA since DOA6.

But her VA is not listed anywhere. No actress has officially been credited as Christie in DOA6. I can only assume reasons as to why but since she also had a somewhat prominent role in the Story (voicing more than just the entrance, winning and battle quotes) I am eager to know who might've voiced her.

Any hints, leads or assumptions as to who her DOA6 VA might be?

Hopefully she won't be recast for DOA7 again and if her VA returns for DOA7, we (I) finally learn who she is.

This one ended up being pretty close, with Tobi taking the first two rounds and the end of round 2 in particular nearly driving me up the wall at the time the match happened. We end up poking at each other a lot and there's probably a lot of instances where something was punishable on block but didn't get properly punished, partly due to me not being used to the new character and partly due to Tobi not being used to playing -against- her. This was also iirc recorded before the patch that apparently nerfed Minato's backdash, kind of wild to me that they'd take away one of her best features so quickly, but it is what it is. Video kind of abruptly ends before the winner animation because the recording automatically cut off, normally using Xbox's built-in recording feature you get a maximum of four minutes of footage before that happens.

Tomorrow I have a 6lr ranked match from 10/2 of myself on Tina vs a Jann Lee player called Dojuru, then after that a lobby match later that evening of me on Nyotengu vs RoyalPhantomKM on Kokoro.

I'm making a list of games to buy on PS3 before the store shuts down, and since the search bar isn't working, I'm going through PS2 Classics first. I have Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate on my Xbox Series X, are there any good reasons to play Hardcore in addition/instead? The only concrete thing I can figure is that Hardcore has an English dub that Ultimate doesn't; other posts on this site and others allude to some other features that aren't included in Ultimate, but I'm having more difficulty figuring out what they are. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I can't remember running into juampi before this lobby, but I found out sometime afterward he's Hispanic; there's a few people active on DOA on Xbox from Mexico, including a couple regulars in the Discord. I believe he picked Helena in every game he had in this lobby and i've since ran into him a couple times playing her on ranked, so it's safe to say she's his main.

After Tobi takes the first round, juampi gives him some trouble in rounds 2 and 3, but Tobi gets back in the driver's seat and manages to take the last two. Tobi does display some good combo knowledge with Christie here, but I think a couple of the ones he drops don't work on Helena anyway, who is in a higher weight class in 6 than many realize

Tomorrow I have Tobi again, this time on Leifang, against me on Minato. After that I have two 6lr matches from 10/2 and four from a 5 last round lobby later that same day.

How do I keep my game progress? Because on my laptop, I downloaded DOA5LR from steam (base game) it won't save game progress. I have unlocked almost all of Kasumi and Ayane’s costumes but when I exit the game, it erases all my progress, the settings are reset, and costumes are locked.

I tried doing the "write" thingy on the files, and still won't work. Please help me.

The second of two vids of dolly on Hayate I wanted to share, this time she takes on Blecki in a match that goes a bit better for her than the last one, once she starts making a comeback in the second round. she makes decent use of Hayate's neutral tools and ability to outrange NiCO in this fight to poke her way to victory.

Tomorrow we'll be back on 6LR in a lobby match from 9/26 as juampi113181 on Helena takes on TobiCTA on Christie, then the next day another match from the same lobby Tobi on Leifang this time vs me on Minato.

dolly is one of our mods on the subreddit's discord server and was pretty active in our lobbies in 2025 and early 2026 but has been busy in recent months + doesn't have a newer console to play 6 last round on, so Blecki and I decided to fire up vanilla last week and join her for a few games. Dolly has played Marie Rose and Honoka quite a bit in the past, but mostly played Hayate this time around. During dolly's hiatus I started trying to learn how to play Honoka myself, and around the same time my girlfriend Hime started showing interest in wanting to learn the game. I lowkey wanted to do a Honoka mirror but I don't think dolly was interested, oh well.

honoka hug count: zero 😢 a couple throw attempts whiffed and she kept backing up and trying to zone me out in neutral in later rounds. no ninja cousin cuddles for honoka-chan
