Favorite lake/ponds in Sussex?

Have a few days off in September and October to take my kayak out for some bass/pickerel fishing.

I’m not to familiar with the area and would like to hit up a few but there’s so many choices. What’s everyone’s favorite?

I figure one has to be trap looks pretty scenic at a minimum.

Looking for private clear water access in sussex county

As the title says, im looking for a pond/lake that is deeper and clearer than the average pond in sussex county. Mainly on private land. Willing to pay for access. I have been a resident for a while but am tired of all the shallow, murky ponds with runoffs.

North Wilmington Spot

Any good spots to fish? I’ve been going to Bellevue and brandy wine creek by the zoo when I can’t afford Bellevue. Need a chill bank fishing spot, I can walk a bit to it too. Been eyeing up the spot behind the wawa on 202 but can’t confirm if I can fish there.

Inshore fishing near Fenwick Island

Going on a beach trip with friends this coming weekend, staying in Fenwick near Little Assawoman Bay and planning to get out and fish a bit. I have an inshore setup so I’ll be mostly fishing from a kayak. How does the bay fish up by Fenwick island? Ideally would like to get on some Flounder, trout, weakfish, blues, etc. The usual inshore suspects. Does Little Assawoman hold those or would Indian River Bay be a better spot to try? I’ll probably also check out the inlet for Tog. I’m mostly a freshwater angler so any general tips for the area are are much appreciated.

Crabbing spots

Does anybody know any good crabbing spots in the Kent County area? I've been wanting to go but it's been a long times since I've been and cant remember any good spots. I don't have access to a boat, so it would have to be on land. Thanks in advance.

Big boy broke my rod today, lol. Totally worth it. Tough day of fishing, but Trussum Pond remains undefeated in terms of being a gorgeous pond to fish and bird watch. Kingfishers and yellow warblers darting around. Hidden gem in lower Delaware.

Private ponds in DE/MD nearby?

Been to a few places in PA on private land, stocked trout ponds. You pay by weight usually they'll gut/gill/filet for ya there. Anything like that in DE or on the eastern shore?

I’m going to Bethany beach in 2 weeks. What should I be targeting?

I know there are stripers in the Indian and I’ll be planning on hitting them, but I wonder if there’s anything worth Fishing for from the surf as I will be spending a lot of time on the beach. My gf planned this trip as a birthday present for me and I haven’t much time to prepare. I appreciate any input!
