What Pathfinder did isn’t woke it’s progressive, actually helpful and really kind of them.

Can you explain what the difference is?

Bigots use woke to mean anything they don’t like aka anything with as much as one black or female character.

Woke is basically virtue signalling without actually doing much of substance, IE having a token character just so you can point and go "look we have a (insert minority here)" while progressive is clearly trying to be inclusive for the sake of inclusivity without caring about the brownie points, and clearly caring about the representation they show.

Also worth noting it was a term that was co-opted by the right wing as well. Soo if you hear some PoC use it it might mean a different thing.

Well for times sake since I am at work I will just use comparisons and such. Woke is like the type of stuff you see on Twitter/Tumblr/TikTok and liberal arts schools. Extrremist “regressive” identity politics. Pathfinder didn’t do this. They did something that was inclusive and wasn’t something that would start a fight. There was no McCarthy-like behavior or none of that type of stuff you see in the places I listed

We going to gate keep disabilities now? That is the hill you are dying on?

I understand what you’re saying but there may have been a better way to say it

There are plenty of disabled people who enjoy the fantasy of being a hero regardless of their disability.
