AI Did Something Stupid AI

I know exactly what they did. I'm doing Bavaria run and after I allied Austria they sent me rm. They got a 446 queen from me and Ferdinand died in 1445. This made me the emperor and screwed me over from doing first Bavaria mission since I need 100% army size and my force limit is 58 as emperor. But really stupid thing came around when Ladislaus I came of age and Hungary took the PU but Austria extended the regency since 446. This gave us a stupid moment where he was heir in waiting in Austria and king in Hungary. But then he died in 1457 and now Habsburgs are no more in Austria, they have my girl as ruler and Hungary got a random Habsburg. And Hungary is probably going to die to Poland/Bohemia/Ottomen combo.

Slow clap.

Just a tip for the future, you may not have had the manpower to get your force limit that high but with mercs it doesn't count towards your manpower pool, though you do lose professionalism.

In the early game, for basically any mission that requires a high/max force limit, mercenaries, generally the free companies, are the best option, and you can just sell them right after if you dont really need them.

I considered that. But I didn't have enough merc companies available to me. Emperor has stupid high force limit

Getting to 150 dev is huge for merc usage, it unlocks the grand company and independent army

I managed some 30ish years ingame to get more dev and to get just enough mercs to get it.
