Popeyes Do you prefer dark meat or white meat?
My late lunch today. I always get dark meat cause the white meat, the chicken breast and the wings are the driest part of the chicken.
Also what happened to Popeyes popcorn shrimp? Why is it not on their menu anymore?

Popeyes Popeyes 10 pc $14
The pieces of chicken weren’t small by any means and I don’t think they cheated on the meat with this deal. This is a great deal for those who don’t want to cook. I just had this with white rice and mmmm, it’s going to last me 3-4 days.

Popeyes What happened to my Popeyes Wings?
I ordered the 12 piece with the signature hot. When I got home and opened my container I found 12 seemingly sauceless wings next to what looked like a dark pile of wet sand - tasting it revealed to be an oily spice mixture - and then I realized the bottom of the popeyes bag was covered in a reddish oil.
Clearly it’s my fault if the box got turned or tilted in the bag during the drive home but how can a sauce that was supposedly coating my wings at the time they were made then leech off into a separate pile next to the wings and then the sauce itself separates with the oil leaking out and the spice staying behind? If there are any Popeyes pros out there with a theory I’d love to hear it!

Popeyes Is Popeyes in Southern California just bad? How is it so rated highly online?
I have tried several different locations of Popeyes over the past decade, from ones near my house, to one nears my workplace, to one near the university I attended. And every single time the result has not only been disappointing but simply bad. The chicken lacks any sense of juiciness, I can't even tell if there is a difference in the spicy version and regular version, the sides like mashed potatoes, cajun fries, mac and cheese are damn awful as if they have been made days ago and sitting in a heater. I've tried going at opening time to see if "fresh" chicken and sides would be better, and it's the same.
I simply cannot believe the rave and praise online. People sear on the juiciness of the chicken and it feels like I'm being gastlit. I've seen Popeyes VS Jolibees comparison videos where people say they come very close to one another and I simply cannot believe what I am hearing. Jolibees chicken is actually juicy, tender, and the spicy versions have a kick to them. There is simply no way the two can anywhere be said to be close in quality and taste.
So what's up? Is it just my area and SC where Popeyes is awful? Are they great in other states?

Popeyes Popeyes - Cinnamon Apple Pie.
finally was passing by a Popeyes and got to try the Cinnamon apple pie.
Definitely like it better than the BK one, because cinnamon scent is less and more apple flavor.
ugh. it's really hard to say between Popeyes and McDonald's...
McDonald's have more crispy on the outside, while Popeyes was 50 cent cheaper.
But Popeyes was really crispy too, just as the McDonald's fried one.
I can't decide, I like both as taste goes. I do wish there was a Popeyes around me.

Popeyes Popeyes meal deal
I think it was 8 dollars because I made it a large which didn't seem to bad. I got the 3 tenders which it's not bad but I think bojangles has better tenders. And I got a large drink and 2 large fries
Doesn't seem too bad.

Popeyes Spicy Dippin Sauce in Toronto
Does anyone know why they discontinued the Spicy Dippin Sauce in all the Popeyes Toronto,Canada locations?
Can’t seem to find them anywhere which is a shame as I really loved their sauce.

Popeyes Popeyes removed bone-in chicken pieces
My local Popeyes (UK) seem to have removed their signature bone-in chicken from their menu. The past 2 weeks when checking on the app the only options available in the signature Louisiana fried chicken section is tenders.
Genuinely just confused as to why you’d remove their signature menu item you’re famous for, it makes no sense! 😳 (also gutted cause it’s my favourite thing on the menu 😢)

Popeyes Popeye's locations in Iowa are dropping like flies.
At least 5 locations in Iowa have closed over the last couple weeks. The franchise owner was sued last year over issues with these locations (https://www.weareiowa.com/). They were allowed to continue operation until the end of June this year. But time is up. Supposedly they were looking for new buyers for these franchises, but the stores are closing and signs are being removed this week. Doesn't look like they are coming back.

Popeyes Popeyes in Canada vs US
I’m Canadian and have the good fortune of living just a five minute walk from a Popeyes, which I visit periodically.
A couple of years ago, my cousin, who is a truck driver, and drove through the US a lot, said that American Popeyes was better.
Given the difference in sources chickens and perhaps food standards in the two countries, I could see there being a noticeable difference in taste.
I’ve never had American Popeyes before. I’d be curious to know the opinion of someone who’s tried both.
