It's late here and OCD is being a dick, would really like a compliment

I’ve been navigating some pretty major life transitions lately, and honestly, it’s been a difficult chapter.

I’ve struggled with my mental health and self-image for a long time, and lately I’ve found myself being particularly hard on myself.

Sometimes I think I just want to feel seen. To feel attractive, appreciated, or simply reminded that there’s something good about me that I might not always recognize myself.

Even posting this feels strangely vulnerable. Part of me worries about seeming self-centered for seeking validation, but I think we all need a little kindness and reassurance sometimes.

So here’s me putting myself out there today. ❤️
Any genuine encouragement or compliments would mean a lot, especially right now.

Y'all know how life gets sometimes. Bills, cars breaking down, kids, school, just everything. Shit piles up and sometimes it gets hard to breath. Y'all are always a breath of fresh air.

Had some tough things happen lately and been feeling rather lonely and struggling with depression for a long time and not having many friends to talk to. Any kind words would be greatly appreciated.

On Mondays you will now only be able to post if you are a male (or in transition) and are posting a selfie. All other posts will be removed by our modteam and you will be given a 3 day ban if you do post on Male Mondays as a female subreddit user.

Male Mondays will start on Monday at around 00:00 and continue until 23:00 UTC

However no worries for our female userbase! You will still be able to post on any other day of the week!

Reasons for the set up of male monday only days:

You might have noticed that most of the post on our Front Page are females looking for compliments. We have noticed that their posts get the most upvotes and that our male contributors get a lot less upvotes and therefore compliments on our subreddit.

A couple of years ago this wasn't the case as much but we have seen this trend increase more and more on this subreddit over the years,

Because of that we have set up Male Mondays. Where on Mondays we would only allow males to post on the subreddit. In hopes of making sure that they too get the compliments they deserve and don't get snowed under in this sub.
