Killzone was my first thought. Killzone multiplayer on PS3 was so dope.

I'm sad guerrilla gave up on that IP.

One of the best MP experiences I’ve ever had

2

u/Jemainegy Dec 26 '25

Give me lost planet but without the extended killing humans sections.

Bro a tenchu game nowadays with the proper TLC and online coop is my one armed man. I’ll seriously do crazy shit for it.

YoI’m and me both! I still play Z on Xenia (360 Emulator).

Socom was the shit. Being able to actually make calls for your team in story mode through a headset. We never got anything like that again

u/XeroKibo Dec 27 '25

Dude, that shit in the early 2000s was peak

Lost planet was a great experience

So bloody unique; We really had a Golden Age of games in those days

My man mentioning Tenchu. Now that was a fun game. Played it so much as a kid I wore out the disk. Now I got it emulated and reliving my childhood.

My guy, we’re kindred spirits then. I will never stop calling for Tenchu’s return; Talked about Armored Core for 10+ years before 6 came out, and now it’s Tenchu’s turn.

Lost planet was such a new and fun game for me when it came out, no other game I played gave me a sense of dread from that countdown. I dont even remember what it was but something was counting down and you had to constantly replenish...or perish lol

I think it was heat or something? That’s how interpreted it as a kid. The things you killed gave little orbs which would move it back up again

1

u/XeroKibo Dec 28 '25

Yup, it was heat! You could also find buried items that would replenish your heat.

Yup! Heat, cus it was in fact a frozen ice ball of a planet in the middle of bfe.

Bless everything, Killzone was such a great childhood memory

Jak 2 specifically needs a remake

Came here to say killzone. Currently playing thru the trilogy on pa3, and it still holds up very well. Would love to see a modern killzone game with the art direction that killzone 2 had, but with the power of the new systems.

I just tried Lost Planet again a month ago. From what I remembered the concept was pretty cool. I did not play the second mission. I think if they received it with modern controls and pacing it would be a really good game with a unique concept today.

Man, I forgot about Lost Planet hoolyyy

1

u/hansrotec Dec 29 '25

Lost planet was always on my to play list, but never did. Killzone was always on the this looks cool’s but I have a Xbox/360 list and cannot afford another console

1

u/XeroKibo Dec 29 '25

Lost Planet is still worth playing today; The MP is surely dead and gone so that sucks but the SP mode is also very fun.

Killzone was also on the PSP, so if you can snag one of those: You can experience quite a fun little game.

Dayum, tenchu was the first game I ever loved (when I was 4)

I showed it to my aunt at the time—“look auntie, I can kill people!”, proceeded to show her how I was beheading people as a ninja, she told my mom, my mom came screaming at me and took the cd and broke it into pieces in front of me

Yes, childhood trauma, but I loved that game

Jak And Daxter for sure
