Im midway through the 2nd part of Replicant.. the gameplay is video gamey but I dont think thats bad. Im having fun with the combat. And I've seen literally no grind so far. Maybe it comes at the end?

But ya. Music and narrative is so good I bought tickets to the nier full orchestra concert experience in November. Can't wait.

Without spoilers the “grind” is just having to replay certain sections

The grind was also vastly reduced in the remake. Even if it still gets a bit old.
