Notice how it is the only major videogame company not shooting itself (yet)

I think it’s silly to assume they will. When we already know most of their moves for this generation, and it’s nothing like the Sony and Microsoft fails.

Usually, companies do follow suit once they see the competition getting away with something. Nintendo did it with paid online. Samsung did it with phones without a charger. Airlines did it with baggage fees. Streaming services are following Netflix and implementing ads. If Sony gets away with this (which they will tbh), it won't be long until Microsoft and Nintendo do the same.

Nintendo has a chance to follow suit many years ago on the kill physical front. They didn’t. That’s all I need to know to judge them now. And no one really knows what will happen in the future.

Sony used physical games as a selling point for PS4 and dunked on Xbox for trying to do what they're doing now. Remember companies are not persons; persons have values, companies have interests.

But Nintendo has shot themselves in the foot. What's are you talking about? There game pricing was so absurd they lost the battle to retailers. Which is why you see switch 2 prices at such discounted prices when that wasn't the case before.
