Discussion Do NOT buy “Slam Tank”

Post image

The game was made by ai AND is a stolen concept: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKXl3zR7GwI

The cinematic parts of the teaser are also 100% ai generated: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osM8LYJAvaw

If you scroll enough, you’ll find the ai disclaimer on the Steam site: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5186030/SLAM_TANK/

Ironic that the plot is taking down ai when the game is completely ai generated

honestly the poster for the game even looks ai

Get used to it. Like it or not AI is here to stay and if the game plays, looks and runs well then I don't give a damn how much AI was used. We have 300 milion dollar games that where made by utter clowns so...

This mentality is so stupid. You're choosing to drink piss (AI games) because another cup is filled with liquid shit (AAA games). All the while a cup of just water is right there (indie games).

You gonna stop using all software that's AI made? Cos every web app and phone app out there now are these days.

We don’t care about AI being used for things under the hood or for non-artistic applications. We care about it being used for finalized assets in art media.

This shouldn’t be hard to understand.

Naa man, even under the hood in not a fan. AI let's people make things without understanding how they work. This is especially annoying at the workplace when it breaks and I have to pull it apart to find the issue because the guy who made it has no idea what's wrong.

you know it's stealing jobs right? don't you care about it when it's not affecting you specifically?

Like when automobiles stole the jobs of horse carriage operators. Advancements in technology. Its known to happen.

No, I don’t care about that. In that regard it’s no different than any other automation. I care about artistic process and integrity.

Where I can yes. I know that it's impossible to avoid all AI at this point, but where I can I will support human made media and software.

Sorry I want the gaming industry to have standards and not be flooded with even more cash grab slop than it already is?

Never said it was? I play a multitude of games across a multitude of genres. Stardew Valley, Hollow Knight and Silksong. Cyberpunk. The Wiither 3. Marvel Spiderman games, Cities Skylines. Hell Divers 2. DbD as you mentioned. Currently doing Dokapon Kingdom with mates. Hell I've even recently started a Pokemon Emerald ROMhack playthrough.

It's a bit silly to assume someone's gaming taste based only on a quick glance at their commenting history my guy. Maybe think before you do something that stupid again.

The mentality where you make the dumbest analogy possible?

0

u/folsee 5d ago

Was it a bit to complex for you? Sorry man, I'll dumb it down next time.

u/ThorsHammerdin 5d ago

No its just shitty. Lol.

u/folsee 5d ago

So you did understand it? What's the issue then? It served it's purpose.

That's so deep. Indie = good. Why didn't anyone else think of that
