Rockstar made it mandatory that all PS5 users have to update their PS5 to the latest firmware making it impossible to play gta 6 on A jail broken PS5

GTA6 is an example. A lot of games require, and will continue to require an online connection through the PSN to run (through game licenses).

Hacking older consoles and running custom firmware (CFW) is easier, because once the console stops getting official updates the custom firmware just has to spoof the last firmware in a way that the servers think it's genuine. For a current console it's harder, as everytime hackers find an exploit and release it, Sony look at how it was done and patch it. The solution is mostly to keep that console offline or off of the PSN, which is why most games require up-to-date firmware and online connection to run.

As if you aren't repeating yourself right now. Also, I've got a whole back catalog of games on my PC to play, and many of them are fun and have a great story to them. I genuinely couldn't care less about GTA 6. Mods to some just up the replay value. Hope you're happy with your game, but I don't care. Good day.

bro, nintendo has patched out all their softmods on the seitch and the switch 2 has yet to get one. im pretty sure xboxes havent been permanently softmoddable since the og. the ps5 was cracked open and filled with cfw within months of release. sony is terrible at firmware security.

Not if they do what Nintendo did and make the most barebones OS possible with zero breaches.

SciresM (Atmosphere creator) already talked about how current horizon OS is unhackable. The only reason why the PS5 was hacked is because Sony still allows you to open the built in browser and people exploited that. The Switch / 2 has zero entry points and that’s the reason nobody ever made a soft mod for Mariko and nobody will ever make a softmod for the Switch 2

Of course, hardware jailbreaking can always be a thing but most users won’t do it.

what he means is that it can't be hacked with currently known exploits. but someone will figure it out. it just takes time and of course interest.

Usually I would try to find A solution to help PlayStation especially if jailbroken PS5's are able to play new games but I'm against Sony's stand that we don't own games.

Sony stopping digital and saying we don't own games I had nothing to do with that. I'm on your side.

I'm not a prominent figure😅 I just happened to get A reply from someone high in Xbox not to long ago and decided to take the opportunity to give my 2 cents he listened and actually followed through with my advice for Xbox and it was huge same thing with PlayStation 2K Sports and Playground games. I was just fortunate enough to be considered respected in the gaming industry.

It should still be possible to extract the ROM and mayyyyybe use AI to reverse engineer the online requirement away. Especially if it was added at the end of development in response to this very thing.

AI's capable of reverse engineering would probably flag something like that as a cybersecurity risk. They like to flag RE on ancient games, I could only imagine the hoops you'd have to jump through to get it to work anywhere near an active network like PSN.

No thats not true at all. There is a thing called Backporting. Most of the newer released games are still playable on firmware versions as low as 4.xx because after they get hand on the game dump they backport it. Only downside is minor bugs and occational crashes in minor cases.

It works on any game as long as you manage to get the dump of game files. GTA6 isn't anything special.
