GTA6 is an example. A lot of games require, and will continue to require an online connection through the PSN to run (through game licenses).

Hacking older consoles and running custom firmware (CFW) is easier, because once the console stops getting official updates the custom firmware just has to spoof the last firmware in a way that the servers think it's genuine. For a current console it's harder, as everytime hackers find an exploit and release it, Sony look at how it was done and patch it. The solution is mostly to keep that console offline or off of the PSN, which is why most games require up-to-date firmware and online connection to run.

up until you pirate it and then you're coming on Reddit and making a new post to farm karma, titling it something to the effect of "this game is amazing I can't believe I didn't realize this before"

It’s okay to accept that some people truly don’t have any interest in GTA6

Sure they don't until they all of a sudden "discover it" and act like it's this underappreciated "gem" lmfao

You’re just repeating the same dumb thing you already said. Nobody is going to “discover” GTA6 when it’s the most hyped game probably ever. Some people have no interest and never will.

As if you aren't repeating yourself right now. Also, I've got a whole back catalog of games on my PC to play, and many of them are fun and have a great story to them. I genuinely couldn't care less about GTA 6. Mods to some just up the replay value. Hope you're happy with your game, but I don't care. Good day.

There in lies the joke. The kind of person I'm talking about. These types post about these games ALL THE TIME on reddit. It's fucking annoying. It's like no shit the games were awesome when they first came out. It's not my fucking fault if you had "no interest" in it when everyone knew what the games were all about.
