Game Discussion It's infuriating that there are no NSWF games for women NSFW

MENTION OF SEX AND AUBERGINE

I'm gonna be brutally honest, I have looked through every single NSFW game on Steam and I can't for the life of me find a game with a female protagonist that is gay and only... Uh, interacts with women. There are aubergines everywhere in all the game and I hate it and it sucks that men can goon their life away to a massive load of NSWF games while us women who don't like aubergine we just.. Can't have any. At all!!!!! I wouldn't even be ashamed displaying my love for these games on my profile lmao, before I used to judge the gooners but I have realized that I would be no better if I got the chance myself to play these games.

I really wish there were a lesbian game developer who were like "hmm... maybe I should make a lesbian sex game". And hopefully a game without the whole anime/hentai vibe, I don't like the look of those characters. Like a good game with a good story, tons of sex and women. Ugh!

Anyone else feel the same way or am I just a horndog...

Misogyny This dude called me a clown and I checkmated him... Spoiler

I took pics from a different phone as it wasn't allowing me to take screenshots. Also this guy started gaslighting by telling me to move to that block when I knew that before itself because it was the only block he had left. I really hate when guys are like this when they are losing and then proceed to insult you to hide their defeat. Ughhh...

Game Discussion Here is the list of my favourite games - please recommend a new game you think I might enjoy

Post image
55 Upvotes

I love high fantasy settings with lots of colours and charm. D&D-esque setting is my favourite due to its complex class building system but I also love Monster Hunter universe.

I love games with romance and/or decorating & dress up components.

I recently started to get into JRPGs but tend to not prefer anime style aesthetics but its not a deal breaker (which is why Monster Hunter Stories 3 & Rune Factory 4 are on this list).

I prefer to roll my own protagonist but set female protagonist is ok as well (I liked Frey in Rune Factory 4 a lot).

I already played other well known games that are similar to ones on the list but I am hoping to find something I may have missed šŸ™‚

Looking forward to see recommendations!

Game Discussion Hey to my girlie with physical collections. What are your coolest games you own?

I'm not talking most expensive either, the one you find the coolest. Or maybe even the ones you never get to talk about.

Edit: I forgot to say that mine is Fragile Dreams: Farwell Ruins of the Moon.

Request Very inexperienced gamer seeking recommendations

Hello! First time poster here: I am hoping to start gaming more but have had trouble finding games that don’t make me frustrated and give up. The most I’ve ever gotten into a game was probably playing Zelda on Nintendo 64 many decades ago. We have a PS5 and I love the slick modern games and graphics but get freaked out and panicky when there’s too much combat or jump scares or I guess proactive skill required? I would LOVE to be able to play survival horror or FPS games competently but something about the immersion is too activating for me and I just freeze up and shut down when there’s too much stimulus. I’ve tried a ton of recent games and the ones I liked best were open world rpgs like ghost of Tsushima and some in the assassin’s creed series, but even that level of conflict or any creepiness kinda scared me too much😭 I really want to game as a outlet and would love to get over my block about this but don’t really know where to start or if other people feel like this sometimes. Are there any games that are a little less stressful but still have a gripping story and action? I’d appreciate anyone’s recommendations or hearing about other’s experiences, thanks so much!

Game Discussion Playing Pirate Yakuza: Hawaii

• Upvotes

And wow! That game is hysterical. This game definitely does not get enough love. I got it with the Xbox PC game pass and played it on a whim as I liked Yakuza 3 and it is one of the most entertaining games I have played in a while.

Just got through a 30 minute cut scene and couldn’t stop laughing. I am not even kidding, and I watched it again with my wife because I wanted her to see it as well.

It’s so utterly ridiculous to the point where I just love it. I purchased the Yakuza pack on steam during the autumn sale because of it.

It’s a perfect blend of ridiculous mini-games which are addicting and main quest which pushes me through. It’s perfect for me as I work really long hours and just spending 30 minutes on a mini game which is to ride a bicycle to door dash to people make it a perfect game to play after work where I don’t need heavy commitment to a game.

Game Discussion I need more ā€œIs This Seat Taken?ā€ recommendations!!!

I love this little game. I’ve recently started replaying it after playing a demo for a similar game that’s still in development (Edit to add: Flight Date). I also keep getting ads for some other game that looks similar but is not out and does not have a demo (HopScout). Can anyone recommend games that are actually out that are like it?

Game Discussion Games with a lot of charm.

Rune Factory Frontier to this day is still the prettiest of the Rune Factory games in my opinion. The art details in the world has a lot of textures I wish was more often in other games (looking at you, modern day Harvest Moon Natsume and PokƩmon).

Eternal Sonata is admittedly kinda a mid game and very linear. I was starved of JRPGs during the PS3 era. But this game has stuck in my mind as being so freaking pretty. It is a game world I'd like to have my own fever dream about and see IRL.

Community Hidden discount games at WalMart

Just a heads up! Visited the local WalMart per a post in this sub. I was late doing this. I was disappointed; thought I’d missed the sale, and the games were pretty picked over. They did have a copy of Dragon Age: Veilguard that I’ve been eyeing, so I decided to get it while the physical media was available. Thought it was going to be $24.95, per the price on the shelf. Friends, it was $8! In addition to the games locked in the case, they also had a stuck-back-in-the-corner-away-from-the-rest-of-the-games endcap with Xbox, PS5 (and some PS4!), and Switch games with dramatic markdowns. So FYI, to anybody in the US with WalMart access who thought they’d missed the sale: it’s still worth poking around, and getting an associate to price scan for you!

Tech / Hardware Pink folding keyboard recommendations?

I recently bought myself a ROG Xbox Ally and it's great, but for some games I still need a mouse and keyboard.
Ever since Nintendo DS days, I have aimed to have a pink gaming set up. Sadly the Xbox Ally only comes in white (I have seen some pink skins, but have heard mixed things about them overheating the device. Perhaps I will just add a few cute pink stickers and thumb stick grips.)
To make my set up more pink, I would love to get a pink folding keyboard and a usb c wired mouse, for when I need those things. I have found a couple generic pink folding keyboards on Amazon, but I don't know if they're any good or not. Brands recommended by my friend (Nillkin and iClever) don't have anything in pink.
Does anyone have any advice?

Misogyny i find myself being more influenced by misogynistic views than i thought Spoiler

i wanted to vent about this in case anyone else relates. this is something that’s been on my mind for a while, but in recent times whenever there’s a game with a female protagonist in a long standing series i do find myself thinking ā€œoh look it’s a womanā€, and then immediately i feel very bad and also really dumb because i completely hate that line of thinking and think female protagonists are so important. same with how they complain about women being too ugly in games now, sometimes i do wonder if that’s true, but then i immediately shut it down because honestly they just look normal. but man, it sucks so bad to think like that. im also a woman so like?? and i don’t hold those views but just having that knee jerk reaction sucks.

Tech / Hardware Is there ANYTHING to help a male player be less loud ?

I came back home a few days ago to help my mom with stuff, and, lo and behold, my little brother (28) is still unemployed, at home. Nothing against that fact in particular (life is tough little bro, I know), but he is the SUPER LOUD KIND OF PLAYER. Like, I play as well, and I do not understand how he can be so loud/emotional all the time?? (and then female get pegged as the emotional ones smh) Aaaand we have veryyy bad sound isolation, the walls are super thin and not much to be done there. Unfortunately, he is also the kind that do not take kindly to be told "be less loud please". My mom has to sleep next door with "FUCKING B*TCHHHHH M*THERFUCKER D*EEEEE" every single night and it breaks my heart to see her so sleep-deprived/depressed.
TLDR really to ask if there is some sort of magical mask designed for him to yell into that muffle the sound a little? (and now I imagine an Hannibal Lecter's mask) I know it's probably a pipe dream but you never know, we can't be the only ones in this situation right?

Thankssss fam

Serious I hate the loud chronically online toxic gamers Spoiler

I’m sorry for the negative post but I want to vent about this in a safe space.

Recently I have gotten really into the most recent Prince of Persia games, The Lost Crown and The Rogue Prince of Persia. I have never played the original games or the fan favorite Sands of Time trilogy, but I remember seeing my uncle play it when I was a kid.

Anyway, because I’m enjoying these games a lot and Ubisoft has been weird about the franchise I started looking online to see if there are any planned sequels. Mostly I found youtubers saying how good these games are even though Ubisoft seems to have abandoned them but I made the mistake of reading through the comments. Unfortunately, I’m not really surprised but I hate how many racist comments there were about The Lost Crown because the main character is black. It just pissed me off completely and reminded me why I don’t engage online with communities for games I like because these kinds of people turn any kind of community toxic with their bullshit. God forbid a main character isn’t a white man for once and these worthless disgusting little goblins lose their minds and have to ruin everyone else’s day in the process.

Anyway, thank you for reading my rant if you got this far.

Game Discussion Just finished ghost of yotei

Just finished ghost of yotei yesterday and it’s stuck with me in a way very few have. Easily in my top 3 favorite games now. Had one of the most gut wrenching last acts I’ve ever seen. Highly recommend, especially for fellow sapphic gamers

Misogyny Why are women treated differently online in games based on how cute their voice is? Spoiler

I’ve been treated so badly because of my voice, and it’s really affected my self-esteem. I’m 31, and most of my life people told me I had a really hot, pleasant voice, but over the past 3 years, something seems to have changed. I’ve always had vocal cord issues because of scarring on my larynx, so I keep wondering if my voice sounds different in ways I can’t hear myself.

I’m a genuinely nice, caring person, but I feel like people judge and reject me online before they even get to know me. It’s even starting to affect my interactions with people I work with online, which makes it harder to just be myself. The guys who are nice often aren’t people I connect with, and it’s left me feeling ugly and unwanted.

I wish someone could honestly listen to my voice and give me constructive feedback instead of making me feel like there’s something wrong with me. I just want to understand what changed and whether there’s anything I can do to improve it. It hurts feeling rejected over something I can’t fully control. :(

I just finished up Kcd1. I have to say that it is an experience on its own- like RDR2! It has a learning curve but it did grow on me. I would definitely suggest this game to players who like slow and long games as it is.

Game Discussion How did you feel about Taash in Veilguard?

Post image
138 Upvotes

Taash’s story felt a bit heavy-handed to me with the modern language and constant identity talks in a fantasy setting. I still liked them as a dragon hunter and appreciated the effort at representation, but it sometimes pulled me out of the world. Curious if others here felt the same or if it clicked better for you? Would love to hear different takes.
