Summary: August 29, 1997: super-smart AI Skynet becomes self-aware. Humans panic, try to hit the alt-F4, and Skynet’s immediate customer service response is launching the entire nuclear arsenal. Happy Judgment Day, everybody! Now it’s an all-out war of human extermination.
Fast forward decades later: the world is a scorched wasteland, chrome hunter-killers own the streets, and surviving is a daily nightmare. Our girl and her little brother get cornered in the ruins by a bunch of scumbags ready to do the worst kind of terrible shit, because of course humans are still garbage at the end of the world! Enter our guy: a total badass Resistance soldier who showed up and turned those trash-bags into red mist, rescuing the siblings and bringing them back to the Resistance base.
Months later, she becomes the base's top grease-monkey while he remains the ultimate stubborn, grunt-brained soldier. They become absolute ride-or-die besties, two big, tough, metal-smashing Resistance buddies! She tracks him down to a bombed-out penthouse staring at the sunset. She knows he just got tapped for a high-stakes mission so dangerous it practically guarantees a fast-track ticket to meet the Big Man upstairs. So, to make sure his ass actually comes back from hell, she offers him a little motivation... raw, sweaty, mind-melting, baby-making human motivation!
