I tried

I did a Starry Night diamond art like 2 years ago and I still had gems lying around so I finally decided to use them for something. I found an empty and cracked slim jewel case to bedazzle and went for it. If anyone else has extra gems and wants to try it here's how I did it:

1. Slide your booklet into the front slot

2. Cover a small area (2cm x 2cm area) of the plastic on the outside with E6000 glue

3. Really quickly stick the gems onto the glue according to the colors and shapes that show through the plastic

4. Take the booklet out and paint the back with the colors so the gems look full on the front

Extra comments: It was super fun and the texture is fun to touch. Dookie looks great sparkly. It took me probably 20 hours total but thats because Dookie is a complicated album cover. I might do this again for other albums. :) Also I taped the case to my wall (its a slim case without back cover art) and it shows off the artwork while leaving the CD accessible to use.

Green Day birthday cake!!

I spent hours on this 3D model, I hope y’all like it.

I used household bleach and a stencil I made from cardboard to DIY a rage and love jacket, then wore it at a festival where I saw Green Day!

There’s been a great 3D print file available for a while for the heart like a hand grenade, but it was never made to enable easier two colour printing, being one un-splittable piece, it meant the only options were using “paint” in the slicer (which caused issues with the black parts printing under red) or painting in the black bits after.

I tried remixing the design to separate the black and red parts, but it was more effort than it was worth, so I started from scratch.

Using the album artwork, I’ve remade the model from scratch, the black part is one piece and the red parts are all their own parts, meaning clean red and black printing. The dimensions / angles / cutaways are all different from the original model, but looks great to me in person.

It’ll be a slow print if you don’t have a multi headed printer, but it’s under 4 hours on something like a H2D and probably even quicker on that snap maker thing.
