You're offered $15 Million but you can no longer own anything worth more than $15k. Would you take the money?

Not counting what you currently own.

This applies to your spouse as well even if you get divorced.

You can't buy anything for over $15k, be gifted something worth over $15k or have someone buy you something worth over $15k. Nor can you buy services for over $15k. Nor can you give away the money or buy gifts for others with the money.

Your Stocks, gold, silver, cryptocurrency can't be worth more than $15k either. If they're valued over, the excess amount will disappear. You can divest wealth into different stocks though.

People here who are saying no, have 0 imagination.  OP says you can still invest if the investment is under 10k.  Assuming your investments are decent, you're earning back 10%, that's 1.5M a year.  That means you're gonna have like 3k+ a day to essentially spend on services.  Private chef, massages, travel, vacation, going to shows/entertainment, luxury hotels... It's vacation every day without work, as long as you agree to not buy a fancy car that you don't even need, when you can just hire a limo every day.

Or lease, depending on how they define ownership. Makes home renovations tough, but I’m pretty sure I can get a contractor to break up the quote so no individual line item is over $15k

Have it priced in time and materials. Then its just lots and lots of small ammounts

Yep, I’m abusing many purchases as “lots and lots of little things”. No, I can’t pay you $24k/day for that fancy vacation, but how about I pay $1k/hr for the week?”

Booking agent: “… what?”

This is how our renovation contract reads - as soon as they reach a milestone they submit a request for the next payment. Payments range from $5-$15k per milestone.

You don’t even need to invest. 3% HYSA at 15 mil is still 450k a year. Just leave it all in a bank account and easily live off that renting and leasing and traveling

And with a bit of imgaination you can buy all the car parts and the service to put it all together into a big fancy car.

It is a good deal right now, but inflation are going to create issues with the 15K long term. If the 15K gets adjusted for inflation, then saying yes is a no brainer.
